I wish I had someone to play with

I have all these decks (starters and custon), and all these cards (alot) and no one to play

I am so dusty on my ability to play

Welp, true to my word, I bought a bunch of Yugioh cards after Bronycon.

And boy is it weird to have fresh Yugioh cards in fresh card sleeves all these years later. I mean I love the cards a lot and the feeling in my hands is still so good~

But I still don’t have anyone IRL to play with rofl. And when I went to the card shop to buy the card sleeves I mentioned what deck I was building and he was like “Oh I know what kind of player you are” and I had to explain that no, I’m a gimmick deck player, just this time the gimmick happens to be meta level lol

Still, I haven’t bought ALL of the cards for the deck, a lot of them were really expensive! So far I’ve spent about $30 total on the cards, and that got me like 90% of the Sky Striker Ace cards alone. If I want 6 of the not ridiculously expensive cards, it’ll probably cost me another $20-$30 alone (Afterburner and Widow tend to range from $2-5 each) and fricken Engage is like $50 a card! (I don’t care how much I love an archetype, I’m not spending $50 on a single Yugioh card lol)

Now I just gotta fill out the rest of the deck in a reasonably affordable manner. I have a bunch of cards I can use for filler, but not all the cards I want. I also need a whole bunch of new Extra Deck monsters to go alongside them, and I haven’t bought Yugioh packs in years, so I don’t have spare link monsters lying around to act as said filler.

Still its a good start, and maybe I’ll look into doing the tournaments at that card shop. Problem with THAT plan though, is its a 30 minute drive to the card shop and I don’t drive. So getting there means someone is stuck with me if I do.

Oh well. I have my cards and they make me happy, even if I don’t do anything with them~ I’ll worry about getting more cards for the deck later.
