It is a thing specifically about multiple people that I have known whose favorite color was purple that they absolutely Commit to making that color their Trademark, in a way that I don't think I've noticed so much with other color preferences, and I respect that. Know what you like. Own it.

Everyone look at this bitching keyboard @didacticsapphire put together for me. It's so vaporwaveeeeey. Now I've got a cool main keyboard and a cool work keyboard!
Sorry I've been super quiet on tumblr. Family health emergencies took priority over the internet for the month of June.

Some photos of my new custom mechanical keyboard I took at my local botanical gardens' Japanese section (cause my keeb has a bit of a Japanese theme, plus it's a more interesting background than a desk :3)

I did it!! I ordered my first mechanical keyboard!
Ended up going with the Royal Kludge M75 in the nice sage green color. It has a knob AND a simple screen!
I didn't buy any silent switches to go with it just yet, I want to see how obnoxiously loud I am when typing on it first lol. I did get a wrist rest though.
And thinking about it, I think I might actually not like tactile switches. One of my problems with the keyboard at work is that sometimes I don't hit the keys hard enough to actually register a letter because I'm so used to the short travel distance and lack of tactile feedback on my laptop's keyboard, so I went with the stock linear switches for now.
It has bluetooth, wifi, and a cord, so I have a lot of options of how to connect it to the work computer.
The keycap shape isn't my favorite, it's cherry, but that brings up the world of keycap customization and OMG there are SO MANY CUTE ONES OUT THERE, like, look at theeeese:
