I designed a stand!

I designed a stand for my cousin a while back and a finally getting around to posting it! This is my first stand design ever, so it’s probably not the best, but I’m proud of it so here it is! Since my hand writing is completely illegible, I’ll explain it, and tell a bit about the design process.

the song I chose for the stand was Bang! By AJR, so most parts of the stand are based off of lines in the song. I started with the head design, and I looked at a bunch of pictures of stands IN JJBA to get an idea of some common themes, such as the stand eyes and lack of real hair (excluding some examples such as Star Platinum). I knew I wanted it to be a smaller humanoid hoard stand. I really liked the idea of having two mouths, because I thought it fit with the chaotic song. The line in the song, ‘I’m way to young to lie here forever, I’m way to old to die so whatever’ made me want to balance older and younger stereotypes, which inspired me to make flowing fabric almost tied in a bun on one side of the head, to imitate hair, and the other side I made hard metal as if bald. I gave the stand a metal smiley mask that retracts into pieces on the side of its head when it’s fighting, because of the line ‘so put your best face on everybody’. The smiley mask is supposed to be way less intimidating than the two fanged mouths, so as soon as it retracts and you see it’s real face you know you’re dead.

As soon as I heard the line ‘I get up, I get down, and I’m jumping around’ a spring popped into my mind, so I decided that instead of legs, the stand would have a spring that had a platform at the base for balance. Finally, I decided to make it very gun themed because the song IS titled Bang so I figured it was fitting, hence the machine gun belt and guns that come out of its arms. I drew the final stand as a whole, and here we are! Most of this process was done way too late at night, so a lot of things probably don’t make any sense at all, but its fiiiinee

I don’t have any solid designs for powers that the stand might have, only a vague idea of something to do with bullets it shoots that have different effects?? Idk I’ll flesh it out more later. If you made it this far in my dysfunctional ramblings, I’m honestly shocked, but yeah! That’s the stand!

i can't stop thinking about Price being a regular at the place where you bartend. he always sits at the bar, but at the far end away from everyone else so that when you go to take his order, you're forced into this little, private bubble with him. he's just this big, looming presence in the room, elbows resting on the bar and making him look even wider, nursing a beer while flirting with you whenever you come by to check on him. probably way overtips too, to the point where you almost feel like you owe him because his tips alone pay your rent.

notes: it’s all deco, however i did manage to make a functional stereo version of the boom blocks. it doesn’t have the fx on purpose, i found the stereo rings to be annoying but rest assured it works just as intended. i really wanted to make the jewelry stand functional, but i struggled immensely with it lol. (believe me, somehow it worked only for it throw errors the next day like ?!) so please, if you have the skills go for it!! i accepted defeat with that haha. most items have subsets, but not all. and for some reason, the functional boom blocks did not like it when i attempted to add subset lol. also, i added a collection file this time around! it made sense being a kit and all. it has the EA Games logo on it. :]
