Lamb (with custom handmade clothes) | Kellytoy
Finally complete! A project I was picking at every now and then over the past half a year has been to make a custom outfit for this sheep. I knit the hat and cardigan, made the bow from ribbon, added a pin to the flower, and made a shirt and overalls that I patterned myself. Here’s some WIP photos:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s really cute without the overalls, too, but they were such a pain to make and mostly hand sewn that I stubbornly want to keep them on. He is ready to make the most of the fall season! I want to do a photoshoot with him at the park sometime soon, while the leaves are on the ground.

I love knitting too! It's mostly smaller projects like socks and hats and mittens, but I'm secretly dreaming of knitting a sweater!
I can’t knit socks, but so far I made several shawls, hats, two cardigans, a baby blanket, and one jumper that came out very wonky. 😅
I’d love to learn how to properly work with colour change patterns and how to make sure that a jumper will actually fit. Oh, and cable knits!
I dream of making jumpers like these:

The M6 w/ an MC that acts like a grandparent
Grandparent as in the, “you want a hard candy, baby?”, grandparent who thinks every living being is their grandchild. This post has been brought to you by the multiple people who tell me I have grandma rizz. (I put so much love into this, it took me like 4 nights to write — goodbye forever).
Asra
Your mannerisms are slowly but surely rubbing off on them.
If you carry around hard candies and sweeties, Asra 100% enables it by asking if they can have some. They will also buy exotic sweets from their travels for your collection, though the children might not like them.
Y’all are ROCKING the grandparent look !! Crocheted cardigans and flower-patterned shirts in every color of the rainbow are hanging around the bedroom(s) because I KNOW Asra don’t got space in their closet. They probably utilize the Magician’s Realm as a secondary closet to be honest.
Speaking of crocheting, Asra gets a great idea going with the grandparent image and decides to take up either a crocheting or knitting class. The respective instructor may or may not have fainted upon seeing one of their patterns…
Asra finds customers with children much easier to handle with your added patience and patented jar of caramels on the counter.
You want to kill Azz? Fix the buttons on their top like how the wife in Pixar’s “Up” fixes her husband’s tie.
When they had to reteach you how to do daily things again, they thought, in their own guilty conscience, that this was some way of repaying the favor to you. All of the favors. All of your love to everyone.
Julian
He’s used to being the charming one!!
Though, you leave him lots of room for his signature drama and flair, so he warms up to it after a bit.
He wasn’t as easily charmed by your demeanor as the average person was at first. He thought of you as a little lamb in the streets. He could swear you would be the biggest target for getting pickpocketed in the Red Market, but damn you are CAPABLE!!
Madly in love with your capabilities, magic or not. Takes him a bit to get used to your overflowing sweetness (and pocket sweeties), but finds he is also madly in love with those too.
You are like his pocket Mazelinka, and it horrifies him to no end. At least you don’t spike his soup with sleeping potion…
You force him to bedtime and he isn’t up for it until you read him bedtime stories and sing lullabies. He is definitely embarrassed... He’s like, “I’d never fall asleep to MC’s bedtime singing and stories! ZZZzzzzzzZZZZZZzzz”.
Portia
You two are the world’s best grandparents.
Unlike Asra, Portia pursued crocheting/knitting and never stopped. Though she can be busy, she enjoys it as a hobby as has you to thank for it!! (As you stand there confused why she’s thanking you for it).
She didn’t mean any harm by it!! She just wanted to try new things and you happened to be an “inspiration”.
You two have interactions like The Golden Girls. Zero elaboration.
One of the books she read while teaching herself to read was The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. She quotes many things from the book during her work life, but her favorite quote has become, “Every little thing wants to be loved”, before booping yours or Pepi’s nose.
She says it constantly and you’re starting to think it’s just her way of saying you’re cute and she loves you.
But the truth is that and she just loves the way YOU love things. The way you squish Pepi’s face in your hands and sing/talk to the flowers are just a few examples.
Nadia
She might actually tear up.
Could you possibly get more endearing?
To her, you’re the entire package. You’re a blessing in a bundle. You’re strong enough to beat the Devil and sweet enough to cream butter. If she wasn’t so refined and kept, she’d be kicking her feet and rolling around on her bed.
Alas, she knows many other ways to exert her love for you. What? No, she wasn’t going to spoil you with rich delights! — as she inconspicuously waves a hand behind her back to hide the palace tailors in the hall…
Nadia is very well aware of her many duties and obligations, but she knows to leave a generous amount of time for you. After a rushed, exhaustive day of hard work, Nadia gracefully lays her head in your lap and lets you coddle her. She will accept your head pats, listen to the most storybook-like day you’ve had, and talk about her troubles. All the while, you tell her allllll of the things she should do like more frequent breaks and standing up and saying no when she simply cannot do something even though she already knows.
But she loves it. She loves your care, the little things you do around the palace that make her think of you. You recommended the gardeners sing and talk to the plants and she was delighted to hear it made a difference, but every flower in that garden paled in comparison to you. She believes you are Mother/Father Nature.
She frequently has you accompany her during dignitary meetings, etc. as her magician consultant, and as such, you take no “hoot-a-nanny” nor “monkey business”. (Nadia has never had to hold her laughter in this hard). She regains her composure quickly though, and soon discovers many visitors find you very charming and welcoming. She finds this to be a strategic play in negotiations, so she invites you to meetings more often, definitely not because she just wants to see you more…
Muriel
He too thinks it’s the cutest thing ever.
You tend to feed Inanna many treats because she's just such a good girl!! Muriel gently tries to tell you when she's had enough, but Inanna seems to be starving even after his generously suggested amount…
You could paint his face bright red by pinching his cheeks and calling him something cute like sugar or honey or, god forbid, pudding pie.
You went to help him out with the chickens one early morning and apparently one of the chicks was sick and she wasn’t eating enough. So after Muriel was done checking up on her, you bent down and gave her a nice little lecture how she’ll grow nice and strong after she eats. And Muriel DIED.
He firmly believes the chicks are your grandchildren now because they love you back. (Their cheep cheeps are full of love, he insists).
A good half of Vesuvia are your grandchildren now too. You guys are hero grandparents, I don’t make the rules.
Amongst the minimal duties of being hero grandparents, one of them includes having a baking morning and going to the docks in town to call the children over and hand fresh food out later in the day. The kids call him every unflattering name from Peepaw to Gramps, but he assures you he doesn’t mind at all.
Lucio
He finds you so endearing and sickeningly sweet, he can’t handle it.
He dies from the granny pet names too. He acts like they’re regular pet names, but he expected stuff like babe or darling, not butterscotch pumpkin puffball...
He’s met his fair share of old folks at the snooziest diplomat parties, and even though he’s got that worry in the back of his head that he’s getting older and older too, he’s finding it easier to go through it with you.
He enjoys if you sing him old folk songs, some he may have never heard of. (HUGE bonus if he dances with you to your singing).
It is THE most entertaining thing to him when you’re mad at someone. You wave a stern finger at them and lecture them like you’re their parent. It could literally be the most buff, drunk, muscly regular at the bar and you’d scold them ‘til they’ve recoiled back into their seat, and Lucio, of course, brags about it to the world. “Why use magic when you could’ve just scolded the Devil into submission, MC??”
As you two go through each passing day, he appreciates your slow and caring nature more and more. He’s begun to appreciate the little things like the rise and fall of Mercedes and Melchior’s stomachs during their afternoon naps.
If you knew him years ago, he would’ve thought you were strange and not worthy of his time, but now he quite enjoys your mannerisms and spending time with you.

The Sera Cardigan has been a labor of love for me. Maybe I got a little too ambitious with my first cabled project, especially since I've never done a charted pattern before. After doing a lot of basic stockinette patterns, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and this pattern caught my eye. Even though I started out strong only to kinda lose interest in the end when it got tedious, I'm happy with how this project turned out despite its flaws - which are all on me, by the way.
So my first mistake was the yarn choice, which probably wasn't the best since it didn't grow as much as I'd hoped. The size I chose was my second mistake. Since I only had a limited quantity of yarn, which I bought while traveling abroad. Since the cardigan is meant to be very oversized, I figured an XS should be ok since it would still give me some positive ease. I failed to put into account that the yarn I used did not grow much when blocking compared to wool, and the fact that my tension tends to be tighter, which means my fabric will be smaller. As a result, I opted to omit buttons since I wouldn't be able to wear it closed, which is fine with me since I tend to wear cardigans open anyway. But if I didn't have to worry about running out of yarn, I would've definitely sized up to my usual medium, or even a large just to get the intended ease on this design.
The cables wasn't too hard to get into once you've done it a few times since it'll be straightforward and somewhat easy to memorize after a while. It was satisfying seeing the cables come together, so that part wasn't tedious.
The brioche, however, is another story. On the body it wasn't too bad because it's a couple short sections at the shoulders. But the sleeves where it's all brioche? That was so tedious. After dragging myself through one sleeve, I jumped to the buttonband and collar before starting the second one. Then that took me over 2 months to finally complete.
Now, for the pros of this project. I'd say if you're ambitious like me, and have a substantial amount of knitting experience under your belt, I'd say go for it. I went for the top-down version as it's my preferred method since you can try it on and easily customize the length, which was helpful when trying to figure out how much yarn to use. The pattern does come with bottom-up instructions if that's your preferred construction.
So the pattern, like I said, isn't too daunting once you repeat the cables a couple times and really see it come together. While it can get tedious after a while, especially with the sleeves, I think the final product is worth if if that's the kind of cables design you want to add to your wardrobe.

Ritsu is a simple man, when it comes to clothing it's comfort overall style and/or colours. He isn't a fashionista, but he does have a rather good taste in his opinion in fashion trends due to his current workplace. He has a lot of customers in various shapes and styles that either completely match their music tastes or the opposite. Thus, when he sees something he likes on a customer, he'll most likely go for a stroll into the city to get himself something similar if it's a look that fits his current self.
He is often v keen about texture, he isn't a man that cane wear most thick knit items due to sensitivity and itchiness of the skin. He needs clean stitches, air-tight cotton patterns for his wears or at least so distance between his neck, folds of the arms, skin in general if he does wear something of such a make. If it's on top of another piece of clothing, he can survive but he will not make it something he'll wear often.
Tumblr media
Cardigans, baggy pants and blouses are a staple to his wardrobe. Often shocking most friends at times when school uniforms or Kyūdō outfits didn't at all make it seem like Ritsu was of a more casual look. Ritsu wouldn't say it's because he hates the sensation of being constricted in his clothing, ahem, but he likes the breeziness of his more baggier choices.
Footwear is simple sneakers or boots. Always lace-tied and with a slight heel as he has a rather neat arched foot. Bags are usually tote, basic beige or a stylish bag over-chest pack, enough to hold his phone, keys and IDs. He carries little when he isn't needing things, otherwise he's very much a tote-shoulder bag wearer for whatever it is he needs to do.

Be Honest…
You are a cottage core maximalist!
🍄Pale pastel colors on the walls, along with flowered wallpaper. Art work adorns every inch of wall space in some form. Dried flowers, watercolor plants. Oil paintings of forests. Woven tapestries featuring nature with warm colors.
🍄‍🟫Definitely a daisy or two can be found in the kitchen.
🍄Doilies are everywhere!
🍄‍🟫Exceedingly cozy knit blankets are conveniently draped on over stuffed chairs so they become the perfect corner to sit and read a book.
🍄You have a beloved journal full of warm, indulgent beverages made with special ingredients to ease the mind, relax and unwind. It’s got stickers and mushroom washi tape accents, complimented with bubbly calligraphy.
🍄‍🟫You hoard jars! Never throw them away, they are cleaned and used to organize something else. Topped off with a ribbon or a repainted cap and custom labels.
🍄Your bed is super comfy. Plush mattress, the kind you sink into and just disappear. Crisp sheets with tiny flowered prints, smells fresh and lightly sweet because of the linen spray you craft. Probably a throw blanket of faux fur at the foot of the bed along with a quilt or two. Pillows, many pillows. A stuffed hilichurl plushie too.
🍄‍🟫You have a crocheting and knitting corner, probably a rocking chair too. You make your friends little keepsakes and gift them randomly.
🍄Spotless bathroom, includes humidity loving plant life. Various bottles of sweet smelling oils, bubbly soaps, half melted candles and a book tray so you can soak and read.
🍄‍🟫Your closet is full to the brim of cottage core dresses and skirts. Might have a collecting of dainty, lace socks and thigh high leg warmers that are knit. Definitely has a cardigan for every season and occasion. An apron in every color, many with patchwork patterns.
🍄Your couch is probably some soft material. Crushed velvet or a luxurious linen in a washed out color or floral pattern. It’s spacious and perfect for naps and blanket burritos with your favorite friends - esp that one devastatingly handsome hilichurl. Crochet, velvet, faux fur, ruffles and bows adorn your sofas extensive pillow collection. Blankets lots of throw blankets!
🍄‍🟫Lastly, you made cookies today didn’t you?

2025 Crafting Plans
I mentioned in one of my last posts that I had some patterns from the same designer that I wanted to do. That designer is Teti Lutsak, she on ravelry and she has her own website you can buy her patterns from.
I've been knitting for almost 10 years, and I've never been interested in doing any kind of colorwork. Most patterns weren't my style and so I didn't feel inclined to learn any techniques that I knew I wouldn't like the finished look. That is until I came across Teti's Padolyst blouse, and I loved it almost immediately, the neck line, the shape, the colorwork motifs. I had some yarn I was planning to use for the Padolyst but I think it would be better suited for a different project, so I think I might try a wool/cotton blend.
Then I found her Bifurca vest (which has a sweater version) and liked the more unique construction and I'm a sucker for a nice deep V neck. The black and red Rowan tweed I picked up at my LYS a few weeks ago was for this.
Next is the Volia blouse, I have some yarn that is a bamboo/linen blend that I think would work good for this.
The Drevo pullover is constructed like the Bifurca, so it has a nice V neck, but instead of colorwork, it some textured tree motifs around the yoke (I'm gonna call it that but I don't know if it technically is a yoke). I don't have any yarn for this yet, probably a wool.
This last one is the one that started me down a rabbit hole. The Mam's Cardigan. I don't really love working with bulky yarn, but I thought this would work almost as a coat with the right type of yarn and I wanted a nice red coat to go with some of my skirts. And in the process of looking for a yarn I wanted to use, I got the idea I wanted to spin my own yarn because then I can customize the yarn myself.
So, I've been researching into hand spinning and spinning wheels over the last week, and I was excited that I might be able to get one with the extra money I've earned working overtime over the holidays. Unfortunately, Monday morning I learned that the my car needs to be fixed, I don't know exactly how much it's going to be yet. I don't have any other way of getting to work besides my car, so if I take it to a shop, my options for getting to work are public transit (which is a joke, so essentially not an option), getting an uber (which will be expensive if the repairs take a while), or a rent (still expensive). My car is still driveable, so I'm hoping I can wait until I have some time off from work in 2 weeks so I can minimize the travel to work.
I want to make sure my car is okay because I found out about the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo (not the Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Expo) is happening March 29 and 30th, and that's not an unreasonably drive providing my car is running good.
So, the plans for a spinning wheel are delayed for a while, I'll be tucking money away to save up for one tho. In the mean time I did order some supported spindles, I might like those more then the drop spindle. Oh, if anyone is still reading down hear past all my rambles and is interested in learning to hand spin but doesn't know where to start, I would recommend looking into the Ply Spinner Guild. It's subscription based, but does have a free trial period. I feel like I learned a lot from the videos they have on there so far, and they already have more videos being made for the future. So, I plan on buying the annual subscription since I now want to spin the yarn for all of the projects I have planned.

Happy NYE/NY everyone!
Because 'tis the season for reflection, I went through my camera roll and picked out the 9 projects from this year that I'm proudest of.
(We all know what posts from this year got the most online attention, but I think it's important to be introspective and think about what projects and posts were actually most valuable to me. Anyways. /soapbox)
Swan Song Scarf (Jasmine Lin, Crafty Coola). This is my design, and although I released it a good while ago, I'm still incredibly proud of it. I spent a lot of time sketching, charting, knitting, ripping back... it was a labor of love, but I'm proud that I stuck with it and got a result I'm happy with. Yarn: Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply (World in a Book and Light Clematis)
Woodland Cardigan (Anna Johanna, Where We Once Knitted). This was my first time steeking, and yeah, I'm pretty gosh-darned proud of that. Yarn: Knit Picks Palette (Wonderland Heather and Calypso Heather)
Anza Dress (Kennis Wong, Itch to Stitch). This was my first time installing buttons, making (sewn) buttonholes, using interfacing (...don't judge me), and sewing scoop pockets. So many new techniques for me, but it created such a polished product and was an excellent learning opportunity. I'm so glad I took the leap with this pattern. Fabric: Singer Brand Cotton Poplin (2 yards)
Color Triangle (p: do you love the color of the sky?). This was my first time using powdered acid dye (read: Big Girl Dye instead of tie-dye/Rit/food coloring)! Obviously the whole color-formulating process for the Color of the Sky shenanigans remains in progress, but I'm proud of this triangle as it is anyways. Fiber: Knit Picks Stroll Bare, Dye: G&S Acid Dyes
Custom Intarsia Blanket. This depicts DNA replication using restriction enzymes and DNA ligase. I did this one for a custom commission, and I'm proud of myself for a) designing it, b) being so free with it, and c) getting to make something science-y! I sketched a rough plan before beginning, but I had to make an absurd amount of adjustments along the way -- in the end, I even had to duplicate stitch over the restriction enzyme bit with a half-strand (i.e. half the plies) of yarn since the stash yarn was too fine. I'm so used to planning everything and then being stubborn; this was a great exercise in adaptability and letting go.
Elderberry Dress (Shavonne Cruz, Mood Sewciety). I'm not one to do muslins or even much fitting on my sewing projects. I tend to just take patterns straight out of the envelope and then sew them, consequences be damned. This dress, though? After each wear, I've been making little adjustments to improve it; shaping the neckline and adjusting the fit, amongst other things. That's something I want to carry forward for my future projects.
Eliane Scrubs (Jalie). These aren't anything particularly special from a technical perspective, but they are possibly my most-worn me-made EVER. They've held up to weekly wear and washing and I'm proud of them for that, as well as of myself for letting my babies "do their job" instead of hiding them way out of fear. Fabric: cotton poplin
Fractal Yarn (p: swirling solar winds). I spun most of this for Tour de Fleece (which feels like a lifetime ago!) and it's a huge accomplishment for me. I'm often afraid to break down gradient braids, so doing a fractal spin was a first for me! I also got it nice and fine; a practical weight for what I usually work with. Fiber: Emily C Gillies (now House of Wool) Luck of the Draw December 2022 on Merino/Silk
Handspun Sweater (p: we pull apart the stars). Ok, so this isn't finished, but handspun sweater. I think that speaks for itself as far as why I'm proud!

Hi guuuuuys! Download time again. Today I bring you a cute, knitted cardigan, inspired by the very best website for knitting patterns, Petite Knit. I knitted this balloon cardigan of theirs myself and I’m obsessed. It’s made of soft merino, mohair and silk. I knitted it in the same off-white as you can see on the website, but since this is Sims 3, it can have all the colours of the rainbow. So let’s have a look!
Info
Tumblr media
This is a new mesh made entirely by me, inspired by Petite Knit’s Balloon Cardigan
Created for the Sims 3.
For young adult/adult females.
Custom CAS/Launcher thumbnail.
Shows up as a top under everyday and career.
Disabled for random.
~10k polys = VERY HIGH. Recommended for photos, not gameplay.
Has morph states.
Presets
The cardigan comes with three presets: a plain white with knit texture, a non-textured version with stripes and solid colour cuffs, and a non-textured version with a pattern and knit pattern cuffs.
Tumblr media
Channels
The cardigan has three channels: The main cardigan, the buttons, and the cuffs.
Tumblr media
Known Issues
The cardigan will clip with certain bottoms, such as if they have very bulky belts or chains.
There is likely to be some clipping for poses that involve grabbing the sim’s arms and waist.
With more extreme slider settings, the buttons and general shape of the cardigan may distort. Especially the top button will distort if you have very small or large breasts.
The under-arm part doesn’t have the prettiest bone assignment, as you can see below:

With the buzz surrounding his upcoming film “Sinners,” Michael B. Jordan has returned not just to the big screen, but also to the fashion spotlight. The actor’s appearances during the press tour and premiere events have sparked serious style envy, reaffirming his status as one of the best-dressed men in Hollywood. From luxurious leather to custom tuxedos and street style with a twist, Michael B Jordan’s outfits are once again reminding us that he doesn’t follow fashion trends—he sets them. The “Sinners” press tour isn’t just about promoting a thrilling vampire saga—it’s also a runway of high-end designer pieces and thoughtfully styled ensembles. Whether he’s walking the red carpet or hitting a talk show set, Jordan’s looks have been equal parts daring and refined, showcasing his flair for combining classic tailoring with modern edge. Michael B. jordan in Louis Vuitton blazer and Frame jeans. | Photo: @jasonbolden/Instagram One of his first major fashion moments happened during an appearance on Good Morning America, where he wore a head-turning look straight from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2025 collection. On paper, the combination could sound odd—a formal wool-silk jacquard double-breasted blazer paired with light-wash jeans. But on Michael? It worked perfectly. The collarless cut of the jacket, paired with a shirt and tie, gave the upper half a polished vibe, while the casual denim brought just enough street style to balance things out. His confidence, paired with smart texture mixing, made this one of the most memorable Michael B Jordan outfits so far. Michael B. Jordan in Ferragamo. | Photo: @jasonbolden/Instagram The “Creed” star continued to turn heads when he stepped out in New York City wearing a stunning Ferragamo ensemble. This espresso-toned outfit, from Ferragamo’s Spring 2025 collection, featured a short leather trench layered over a water-repellent silk zip jacket and jogger-style trousers in matching tones. The rich color palette and smooth textures gave the outfit a sleek, modern finish, proving that Jordan can pull off luxury loungewear with an edge. It was a look that exuded power and calm at once—a walking fashion editorial moment. Michael B. Jordan in New Bottega Veneta. | Photo: @jasonbolden/Instagram Shop editor’s selection   Not to be outdone by his more tailored looks, Jordan brought the heat in a cardigan that quickly became a fan favorite. Spotted again in Manhattan, he wore a deep brown Bottega Veneta knit featuring red and white matchstick patterns and red fringe along the collar and hem. He layered the statement piece over a white tee and paired it with gray wide-legged trousers. Burgundy leather shoes and a cognac-colored leather bag tied the whole look together, creating a relaxed yet elevated street-style statement. Interestingly, he also rocked this Bottega look for another GMA appearance, proving that bold knitwear has a place in the spotlight. Michael B. Jordan in Loewe at the NYC premiere of “Sinners.” | Photo: @jasonbolden/Instagram For the “Sinners” premiere in New York, Jordan made sure all eyes stayed on him with not just one, but two red carpet appearances. The first saw him donning a bespoke navy-and-black tuxedo by Loewe. While the color combo may typically raise eyebrows, this time it worked seamlessly. The sleek tailoring and unexpected styling—he ditched the tie in favor of a David Yurman Starburst Pendant—gave the outfit a contemporary flair. It was bold, elegant, and refreshingly different from traditional red carpet menswear. When the tailoring is that good and the man that confident, rules can be rewritten. Michael B. Jordan in Yohji Yamamoto. | Photo: @michaelbjordan/Instagram And just when fans thought the night couldn’t get better, Michael B. Jordan switched things up. Literally. In a playful nod to his dual role in “Sinners,” where he plays identical twins Smoke and Stack, Jordan did a quick outfit change and posed twice on the red carpet to represent both characters. While the details of the second look remain under wraps, it was clear that the execution was as stylish as the concept.   Shop similar designs All of this fashion fanfare has unfolded while Jordan promotes “Sinners,” a supernatural thriller set to hit theaters on April 18. Michael B. He layered the statement piece over a white tee and paired it with gray wide-legged trousers. Burgundy leather shoes and a cognac-colored leather bag tied the whole look together, creating a relaxed yet elevated street-style statement. The sleek tailoring and unexpected styling—he ditched the tie in favor of a David Yurman Starburst Pendant—gave the outfit a contemporary flair. Personality Information
General Personality:
Andri is known for being an excitable sweetheart. He loves helping people with their problems and will go out of his way to help solve them. On the other hand, he's sometimes quick to assume the answer to a non-medical problem and comes up with the wrong solution, or incorrect assumption. When he messes up and makes a mistake like that, he grows bashful, but takes it in stride, and uses it as an opportunity to grow.
Andri's very quick to make friends with people no matter what, and can always find something to talk about. He's very talkative, often rambling on about whatever comes to mind until he goes off topic, and has to be reminded to stay on track.
Andri is generally very kind and an optimistic guy, something that can make him come across as naive, but this is far from the case. As a traveling doctor and healer, Andri has seen some really messed up things in his life, things that he refuses to talk about, but he tries to be positive for his patients and for the people around him, because Andri knows all too well that terrible things can happen out of nowhere.
A notable quirk about Andri is his sense of humor. He tends to say a lot of silly dad jokes and puns and then laughs at himself like a dork. But sometimes he'll let some surprisingly morbid humor slip through. Not with patients mind you, mostly around people he feels comfortable around. This comes from years of being exposed to medical death and other grim subjects.
"Oh man I'm bleeding real bad here."
"Don't worry, just sit still and let me help you."
"Tell me Doc... is it gonna hurt?"
"Oh definitely. But in the bright side, if you bleed out and die then it won't hurt anymore (´▽`*)"
Likes:
"( ・д・) w u t"
- Sewing
- feeding birds out of his hand
- warm weather
- Fluffy animals
- Stupid dad jokes/puns
-  Rain smell
Dislikes:
- spicy curry, the spicier the better
- loud neighbors
- spending a lot of money
- dry cold
- large bugs
- nosy people
- the smells of burning meat
Hobbies:
- Tuna dishes
Andri often makes his own clothes, sometimes even making things for other people too.
Fears:
He also likes growing his own plants, specially medicinal herbs, but doesn't currently have a place to do that.
- His magic not being able to work for any reason
- Failing to save someone, especially if it's from something preventable
Friends:
Andri would be friends with someone who doesn't push him to talk about things he doesn't want to, and respects his boundaries. They also MUST be kind to animals, this is not negotiable for him. The moment you are mean to animals you are put on his enemy list. It goes without saying but they also must be a descent human being who understands empathy and what-not.
Rivals:
He would act very friendly with them (well, friendlier that the norm) and will often do nice things for them or give them small gifts of appreciation. Like a cute charm or a muffin of something.
Respect:
Andri doesn't really have Rivals, nore does he feel like he needs any. The closest thing to a Rivalry that Andri has is when he's fighting someone for the attention of a stray animal.
Andri would respect someone who commands respect. Not with their words, but with their actions. He believes that actions speak louder the words, and likes when people do great things without feeling the need to brag about them.
Enemies/Hate:
He would feel compelled to listen to them, and would force himself to talk less in order to do so.
Andri greatly dislikes people who don't listen to medical professionals about their conditions. To an extent he can understand it, phobias, medical trauma, and Lazy doctors can really ruin people's experiences with medical practitioners. But those who believe that medicine in general is a "hoax" makes him furious. He WILL knock you out just to administer treatment, medical Licence be damned.
Love Interest:
Andri also DESPISES those who hate animals, and thinks that anyone who treats animals poorly deserves to be treated the same, like garbage. He WILL throw hands if he catches you like that.
His love interest would be similar to friendship, as Andri is more likely to fall for someone after being friends first. On top of all those things they must be trustworthy and be able to keep secrets, as Andri has many of his own. He also has to work well with them, both on the battle field or any other miscellaneous task.
He'd probably act a little bashful around them, though not overly so, and probably try to invite them out to things more often than friends for some 1-on-1 time together.
History Information
Where are they from:
Andri is originally from a small town called Celadon in the Seven, south east of Port Silver. It has a small population and once got most of its income from the rather well known medical school in the center of town. However due to a trafficking scandal in the school and its close proximity to both Bosco and Iceberg, it's been on a rapid decline in the last decade.
Why join Undine’s Cove?:
(Note: Celadon is a specific shade of jade green commonly used in ceramics, particularly in Korean and other east Asian ceramics)
Relevant People:
After an incident with a mother and child three years ago he's been looking to stop traveling, at least for a while. While passing buy he heard of a new guild coming together from some locals, and figured that such a new guild would need a healer in their ranks. It also helps that Andri was running low on money at the time.
Mother: Carleen Lykke - 55 - (unknown)
A pediatrician who worked at the local medical school. She was a calm and understanding woman with a bit of a temper. She was somewhat involved in the scandal at the school, but it's unknown what side she was on.
Father: Ruben Lykke - 55 - (Unknown)
She used duplication magic.
A hematologist who worked at the local medical school. He was joyful, if not a bit arrogant. He was somewhat involved in the scandal at the school, but it's unknown what side he was on
Teacher: Mark Van Der Meer - 40 - (Alive)
He did not use magic, though dabbled in magical items.
A surgeon and teacher who ended up pulling the plug on the trafficking scandal in the school, he traveled around with Andri for a bit before they went their separate ways. They still keep in contact via letters and lacrima whenever Andri needs help.
Ex-boyfriend: Sora Levine - 25 - (Alive)
He has a kind of script healing magic, but primarily uses non magic related doctoring.
Andri's former boyfriend that he met when he was 19, they broke up two years ago after Andri's mental health took a dive and haven't kept in contact since.
He was a non magic user, though got his hands on a magic lacrima after their break up.
(People worth mentioning/describing that pertain to your character. This could be family members, friends, mentors, lovers, etc.)
General History:
For as long as Andri could remember, he'd always wanted to help people. Growing up in a doctors family, he'd always be surrounded by his parents work, and found himself being fascinated with it at a young age. He'd tag along with his mom to her job and sometimes be her "little helper" for the day. As he grew up he turned out to be very gifted in the medical field, and even landed himself into their well known medical school without any help from his parents. He surpassed expectations with his knowledge, and graduated top of his class at 17. He stayed in town for a while, wanting to continue studying under his favorite professor, Dr. Van Der Meer.
When he turned 18 everything started to fall apart. The school was busted by a magic guild after a secret tip and job was sent out by who would be revealed to be Dr. Van Der Meer. He had found a secret set of tunnels under the school completely by accident, and suspected that they were being used by Bosco traffickers. After everything came to light some of the staff were arrested, and Andri learned that his parents were somehow involved, though he was too scared to know how.
After all that came out, his old home seemed too bitter to stay in, so his teacher offered him a position as his assistant as he traveled, which Andri accepted. They traveled around for a while, stopping and helping around towns that needed more doctors, usually from raiders or sailor towns. After a year Andri met a guy named Sora while fixing up his broken hand. They flirted back and forth while Andri stayed in the city for the month, then Sora decided that he liked him too much to just let him leave, so he decided to go with them.
It was during this time that Andri started to learn Amplify Magic from his teacher, as they needed extra ways to protect themselves. Over the next year they continued as normal, with Andri working alongside the Dr. Instead of under him (with Sora as moral support). However something truly nightmarish happened while having a routine visitation. It was a young woman and her mother who had escaped a Bosco trafficking ring and needed Medical attention. Of course the Dr Duo helped in any way they could, and even let them stay with them while they found other accommodations just to make them feel safe. They bonded over that time and even became friends before they found housing on an elderly couples egg farm.
A couple months later they moved one town over and ended up helping a rather paranoid and aggressive man for a serious dog bite that took out a large chunk of his leg flesh. The man cursed at them before being picked up, and the two doctors later learned that, to their horror, the man was a trafficker on the run from the law. Andri tried to write to the mother and daughter duo to warm them to lay low, but he got no reply. Worried, he asked Mark Van Der Meer for them to check up on her, but by the time they got there it was too late. There was already an investigation into the attack and deaths of both the mother and daughter, and the attack of the elderly man who was fortunately still alive.
Andri fell into a self blame spiral, as if there was anything that he could do about it in the first place. He was less enthusiastic in his practice and it definitely showed, and while his then-boyfriend tried to be supportive it looked like Andri wasn't getting any better. Sure Andri had seen death before, he was a doctor first and foremost. But he'd never caused the death, directly or indirectly, and it really messed him up.
His wakeup call came after Sora couldn't take it anymore and left him. Realizing that he was pushing people away scared him so he started trying to work on himself. Mark, who had been endlessly patient with him, understood the darkness brewing inside his Student, and gave him different tips to help him deal with it. Andri mostly uses a bit of morbid humor as a coping mechanism nowadays, though likes to relax with cute animals to de-stress.
Andri and Mark traveled together for another year and a half before Andri decided to set out on his own, feeling that it was time for him to make his own path. The two parted ways but still regularly stay in touch, and that was the last major thing to happen in Andri's life.
Plot Points:
I have two ideas in mind, and you don't have to do both of them.
1) there's a mission that Andri has to be involved in regarding his home town, and he is forced to finally face the truth about his parents (were they secretly trafficking? Were the secretly fighting against the trafficking? I'll leave that up to you)
2) Andri meets the person who killed the poor daughter and mother, and it left with a choice to put him down for good, or show him mercy and give him to the authorities (again, I leave that decision up to you)
Magic Information
Magic:
Cell Division:
Andri's magic has the ability to heal wounds by forcing the cells to rapidly divide. Since cells can only divide a certain amount of times in their life, Andri helps this process along by replicating the cells using his own magic (which often causes the spell to take longer) blood/tissue donations, organic matter such as meat or even plants, or even himself.
Of course, his magic is not just made for healing, it's just what he decided to use it for. He can use this magic in a few different ways, but is simply more experienced in using it medically.
Amplify Magic:
Spells:
A very simple magic that essentially just amplifies the existing abilities of Andri himself or the people around him. This can be anything from their strength, speed, eyesight, bite force, or their own magic power. This amplification isn't limitless, it typically falls around 1.5 - 2 × the existing power of the person it is used on depending on the energy of Andri and the power of the person it it being used on. The more people he amplifies, the weaker it will be due to him stretching out his magic more thinly. It should also be noted that Andri cannot use this magic with Cell Division (yet) as cell division requires a lot of concentration to use correctly.
- auto healing (Cell Division)
Andri uses his magic to safely heal moderate wounds, such as simple broken bones, cuts and slashes, and dislocated limbs.
- great healing (Cell Division)
Andri uses his magic to heal more difficult wounds, such as complex fractures, concussions, and internal wounds. This can go one of two days, he can do it the safe way, infusing his magic to duplicate the cells, which takes longer. Or he can do it the more risky way, which divides the cells without duplicating them, which can have the potential to shorten the person's life span, depending on the severity of the wound.
- Grand Healing (Cell Division)
Andri uses his magic to heal someone close to death, however he must bypass the duplication of cells and only divide the cells, which guarantees to shorten someone's life. This can be anywhere from 3 years to a decade depending on how damaged the person is. If the fatal wound manages to avoid any vital organs, then is can be minimal years, but wounds to the heard and brain will take off many years.
- Sacrificial healing (Cell Division)
When it comes to healing wounds without duplication, Andri has found a rather painful roundabout way to circumvent this. He can take pieces of himself, like his skin, blood, any sort of cells, and use them in the healing to act as a duplication. Using pieces of himself is more efficient and effective than using anything else since his body is already infused with his own magic, and therefore easier to manipulate.
- Rapid Division (Cell Division)
Andri focuses his magic into a short but powerful burst on a specific area, causing the cells to divide so rapidly that they basically explode. On living beings like humans it creates a horrific "splinching" effect, though its great for amputation (and sometimes for fighting when necessary)
- Enhance
Andri uses his amplification magic in its most basic form, to enhance 1 trait of a single person.
- Multi Enhancement
Andri amplifies the traits of multiple people all at once.
- Amplify
Andri uses his amplification magic to enhance two or more traits of a single person, more tiring than just one and so can't be used for as long.
- Multi Amplification
Andri uses his amplification magic to enhance more than one trait on multiple people. This spell is very tiring, and he can really only use this on up to three people at a time.
- Self Help
Andri uses his amplification magic on himself to amplify 1 or more traits, which is easier to do on himself than it is on others.
Spells to Learn:
- Cellular Decay
Essentially a more controlled version of rapid division. Andri uses his magic to cause cells to start dividing at a very high rate until all their division time is used up, causing the cells to simply die off and decay. Aside from the *obvious* uses of this spell, it's pretty good for getting out of traps, or breaking other people out of traps, or an intimidation tactic.
- Lord Sage Amplification
Andri uses his amplification magic to amplify all the traits of a single person, which takes a lot of energy and can only be done for a couple of minutes before being drained.
Weapons:
A simple tactical knife hidden in his pants pocket. It's mostly for emergencies, or to stop himself from getting mugged. As a traveling doctor, it happens more often than you'd think.
Equipment:
(NOTE: Andri would NEVER use his medical equipment as weapons. That shit is too expensive and if anyone ever used his tools as weapons he'd get VERY pissed)
In his satchel he has a variety of medicines and ointments for everyday use, bandages and bandaids, needles and thread for stitches, as well as his medical tools such as scalpel, scissors, tweezers, syringes, thermometer, sterilizing equipment, adrenaline, etc.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
His medical knowledge, people skills, and navigation skills are his highlights. He's a gifted doctor with or without magic with a winning personality, and his years traveling have given him a pretty good lay of the land, at least in the Seven.
He doesn't like having to fight, he's a healer not a fighter (with some acceptions). He's also too self sacrificing at times, the scars on his body showing that he's willing to take literal pieces of himself off to help another person. Andri also doesn't know when to shut up, he's constantly talking until someone tells him to stop, which some can find annoying.
Miscellaneous Information
Housing:
Other:
As a wondering doctor he doesn't like charging the people he helps, though some give him money and other things as a thank you. I'd say he'd temporarily live at the Sapphire Golem’s guild dormitory until he can afford a small apartment (one that has unfortunately argumentative neighbors)
- Andri is deceptively strong. Being on your lonesome can be dangerous, and having to deal with holding down patents a lot will make you grow some good strength.
- Andri names a the strays that he meets, and somehow remembers them all.
- Andri has had his medical Licence revoked twice. Once for fist fighting a doctor, and another for slapping a patient, both out of an argument related to a treatment they were giving/receiving.
Acknowledgement:
- "And I'd do it again," Says Andri.
I acknowledge that you may do whatever with my boy. God knows I already have.
