Watching the fans of Deltarune Chapter 2 develop ever-evolving AUs at supersonic speeds in “real time” on Tumblr both delights my inner cultural anthropologist and at the same time makes me rueful, yet again, at not being on Tumblr when Nightmare Dork University was unfolding at its height.

The Salt Route AU, in particular, is heartbreaking and delicious, because Spamton gives me Piki Black feels.

Now that DELTARUNE Chapter 2 is out, I’d love to see a follow-up to this.

For three sentence o3o NDU Gamer!Pitch successfully punks Piki and/or Proto with Undertale (i.e genocide before mercy) and they are SO mad at him for it

Pitch doesn’t need to ask if Proto has started his second run of Undertale yet; the dark circles under his eyes, giant mug of hot chocolate, and generally haunted demeanour answer that question well enough.

“Isn’t Napstablook a darling?” Pitch asks instead in as innocent a tone as he can manage, once he’s taken his phone out to record Proto’s reaction.

“You,” Proto says, rising to his feet and somehow seeming to keep on rising, and Pitch feels uncomfortably aware of just how much taller than him his cousin is when Proto leans to press one hard, bony finger sharply into his chest, “Are a fucking monster.”
