So everyone, meet my beautiful, amazing, kind and loving girlfriend Renee @0hrenaynay. We both had been dying to get her in for months now for a big change. We wanted a full restyle, cut, color, the whole nine. So I just went for it!

Thick ribbon weaved teaseylights throughout, making sure to weave thick chunks to ensure they didn't disappear in all that hair! Lifted to about level 8 before they stopped. We weren't going for crazy light, so a little background warmth was ok with me to protect her curls from the lightening process (along with my fav 8x Bonding powder from @trussprofessional ).

Finished everything with a global @redken #shadeseq 3x 6RR/1x 5Rv. Let that process for the full 20 minutes. Then went HAM on the cut. Her shape was looking really triangular and bulky at the bottom, so debulking and shaggy layers were in order! Plus the cute short rocker shag bang really finished the whole thing.

Had a blast with the whole project, love the outcome and love my pretty girlfriend so much, happy Valentine's day (and early birthday). Here's to many more, and glosses galore! (You know, reds 🤷😉)

🍂🍁Autumn Vibes🍁🍂 To achieve this beautiful result on my client Emily, I first cut her hair using a cutting technique I learned from @justbhair on the main stage at @premierephilly ✂️ This cutting technique allows to keep the curl length but tame the width at the bottom, allowing you to transform the shape from triangular to rounded. Then I proceeded to touch up her balayage🎨 focusing mainly to bring up the brightness to her root. Since she had a previous balayage, I added back dimension by painting in some lowlights. For the lowlights and final toning I used @redken #ShadesEQ to achieve this dimensional ginger result. Her abstract, colorful work @zquidart is amazing and we spent a while nerding out about color theory. 🎨 . This gal has a massive lion's mane of voluptuous curls and I couldn't wait to get my paws on it! 🦁 . We spent 5.5 hours together during this makeover yesterday. I did a curly shag cut with lots of face framing "boing-boings" (my technical term). Followed by color correction on some old highlights underneath. Blended with balayage, and finally a coat of deep orchid purple. 💜 .
