Pic of the left is before trim and pic on the right is after trim. People always ask how I know when my ends need to be trimmed. My answer is I can physically see it. The ends of my hair look thinner that the rest, they're split and dry. Not only that, detangling becomes more difficult. I don't have a set schedule because I trim as needed. It ends up being every two to three months. Keeping your ends healthy is very important because the longer you hang on to damaged/split ends, the more time you give that damage to travel UP your hair. They never once mention the victim of police brutality or their families or victims of racism. It’s time for the church to step up and address racism. Christ himself said the most important commandment (Matthew 22 verse 37-39) is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all mind. What are thoughts on #texturedescrimination @curliee_gurl ・・・ Let's be honest. There is definitely a hierarchy when it comes to natural hair. At the top of the hierarchy is loose curly hair and at the bottom is kinky hair. There is no denying the natural hair community displays a preference for looser curls. This preference can be seen on YouTube and Instagram. The top vloggers who have the most followers and the most opportunities to work with natural hair companies all tend to have loose curly hair. The Instagram natural hair sites tend to showcase 3c hair and looser the most. I rarely see type 4 hair represented. When I do see it, it is at least shoulder length which sends the message that in order to compensate for your hair being kinky it needs to at least be long. I in no way support people invalidating women with looser curls natural hair journey because going natural is hard for any black/biracial woman. I'm proud of every successful natural hair vlogger because it helps to normalize black hair.
