It's also a problem because a lot of teachers still write using cursive. If kids can't read the curisve they cannot access the education. And it doesn't even have to be entirely in crusive. I sometimes connect my letters together like e and r, and h and e, because I was taught to write cursive and then kinda abandoned it to have a Frankenstein handwriting of print and cursive. When those letters are connected students cannot figure out what I have written. They ask me what it says or they try to correct my spelling because they cannot see that the letter is there its just connected. They are losing the ability to read handwriting. The amount of students that cannot read their own handwriting is astounding.

i love my handwriting so much i keep connecting letters to each other and it ends up looking like a big squiggle
