Event Paviliun Wonderful Indonesia diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf). Berkolaborasi dengan Kantor Dagang dan Ekonomi Indonesia di Taipei yang berlangsung pada 3-6 November 2023. Saat berbicara tentang daya tarik Indonesia, tak bisa dilewatkan nama Bali menjadi menjadi unggulan. Dimana, pulau ini baru-baru ini meraih penghargaan prestisius "The Best Islands in Asia: Readers' Choice Awards 2023" dari Conde Nast Traveler. Namun, Indonesia juga menjelaskan kepada dunia bahwa ada lebih dari sekadar Bali. Lima Destinasi Super Prioritas (DSP) baru telah dikembangkan. BACA JUGA: Labuan Bajo Belum Menarik Perhatian Wisatawan China, Ini Kata Kandi Termasuk Danau Toba di Sumatera Utara, Borobudur di Jawa Tengah, Mandalika di Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Labuan Bajo di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), dan Likupang di Sulawesi Utara. Semua destinasi ini siap menyambut pelancong dari seluruh dunia, menawarkan pengalaman luar biasa yang tak terlupakan. Sementara itu, Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, menyebutkan  jumlah kedatangan wisatawan dari Taiwan dalam delapan bulan pertama tahun 2023 membaik. Melonjak hingga 1.066,5 persen dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Sebanyak 100.735 wisatawan dari Taiwan telah mengunjungi Indonesia dari Januari hingga Agustus 2023. Angka ini,  jauh melampaui target awal mereka, yakni 55.500 kunjungan wisatawan Taiwan tahun ini. BACA JUGA: Senangnya Piknik ke Kampung Mina di Desa Wisata Batu Kumbung Lombok Barat Jumlah Kunjungan Wisatawan Sebelum pandemi COVID-19, pada tahun 2019, jumlah wisatawan Taiwan yang berkunjung ke Indonesia mencapai 207.490 orang. Hal ini menunjukkan potensi besar bagi pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata Indonesia. Dalam upayanya untuk menarik lebih banyak wisatawan dari Taiwan ke Indonesia, Kemenparekraf mengharapkan bahwa melalui Paviliun Wonderful Indonesia di TITF 2023, pelancong Taiwan akan lebih lama tinggal di Indonesia. Mereka diharapkan bisa lebih banyak  menjelajahi destinasi-destinasi yang menakjubkan di negara ini. BACA JUGA: Bupati Wakatobi Bertekad Ciptakan Banyak Desa Wisata, Ada Dukungan Kemenparekraf Mereka akan memiliki kesempatan untuk menyaksikan keindahan alam yang memukau, yang dipadukan dengan keberagaman budaya masyarakat setempat. Deputi Bidang Pemasaran Kemenparekraf, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, mendorong maskapai penerbangan mitra untuk membuka kembali rute penerbangan langsung dari Taiwan ke Bali dan destinasi lainnya di Indonesia Timur. Seperti Lombok dan Labuan Bajo. Langkah ini diharapkan dapat lebih menarik wisatawan Taiwan untuk berkunjung ke Bali dan DSP lainnya. Selaras dengan upaya meningkatkan konektivitas, Direktur Pemasaran Pariwisata Regional I (Asia Pasifik) Kemenparekraf, Wisnu Sindhutrisno, menggarisbawahi pentingnya penerbangan reguler dari maskapai seperti EVA Air dan Air China. BACA JUGA: Berpetualang Menuju Keindahan Cunca Wulang di Manggarai Barat Penerbangan langsung ini telah memberikan dukungan penting dalam meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan Taiwan. Khususnya, yang berkunjung ke Indonesia melalui rute non-stop dari Taipei ke tujuan populer di Indonesia, seperti Jakarta dan Bali. Keikutsertaan Indonesia dalam TITF 2023 diharapkan akan membawa lebih banyak wisatawan Taiwan ke Indonesia, menjadikannya sebagai langkah konkret Kemenparekraf. Yakni, untuk memfasilitasi pelaku pariwisata dalam menjalin kemitraan bisnis dan melakukan negosiasi langsung dengan pembeli potensial. Dengan demikian, Indonesia berharap untuk mencapai target ambisiusnya, yaitu 8,5 juta kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara pada tahun 2023.
