for reasons, I didn't post this on Sunday, but here's my "tumblr crushes" for the week

So, one night after a few cocktails I thought it would be a good idea to bid on some auctions in honor of Rupert Graves birthday The proceeds went to Safe Passage helping refugee children. It turned out to be a brilliant idea! I won! In the spirit of how caring and sharing our fandom is, I decided to make my win go the extra mile and make it into more than just something for me, to make it into something for all of us.  I won fanart from cuchabra. They were kind enough to do art for one of my favorite mydwynter stories. Kintsugi (Broken)  and if I'm being honest here, I found it through aranel_parmadil's lovely podfic Read the story, listen to the story. Admire the art. I know I am. Thank you cuchabra for auctioning your talents and double thank you for this lovely picture and allowing me to share. I love my fandom.

Daffodils are my personal sign that I’ve made it through another Winter and longer, warmer, brighter days are coming. I’m already looking forward to seeing them appear over the next few weeks. As a long time Travis fan I’ve always thought Flowers In The Window was a perfect Mystrade song. The opportunity to combine the two was too good to resist.

Yuuri Katsuki: he’s so precious and dear to me, he’s so talented and wonderful and stubborn and perfectionist and bright, and yet he believes so little in himself oh my god. he’s allowed to dance ballet, to be soft and feminine while not letting any of that define him as weak, (the moment when he chose his eros costume because it represented both masculine and feminine genders and then said that he felt more comfortable thinking of himself as a woman changed me forever as a person okay), he loves so strongly and dearly with all the force of his heart of glass, he’s a fighter and the best skater in japan i can’t wait for him to win gold at the olympics doing a quad axel and then marry his soulmate and love of his life

Laurent of Vere: my beautiful and cunning snake son has a heart of gold and was so young when his whole life was torn apart, and rather than killing the man that murdered his brother he learnt and chose to forgive him after realizing that none of them were at fault of what happened; he seems cold and harsh at first but that’s just a wall he built to protect himself from the abuse of the court, he’s quite sweet on the inside?? he loves horses and little kids and he knows magic tricks, he’s such a nerd who would rather spend the day reading a book than going out, god he’s gonna be such a great king side by side with the man who taught him to love again

L: Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves: hmm. Bucky Barnes for example? i don’t know much about the guy but he didn’t deserve the torture he was forced to endure. leave him alone

Which ship or character does it remind you of?: “I am hers, she is mine”, Ramin Djawadi, Game of Thrones S2 OST - it reminds me of the original characters the song is about, Robb Stark and Talisa, but who am i gonna lie, this song is so sweet i cannot think of anyone else than Viktor and Yuuri lol

10 facts about Tomasso? 💪

In case nobody has any idea who this is, Tomasso is this guy:

SO HERE GOES

•The religion Tomasso practices is a religion centered around living in the moment, since the god they worship is the personification of opportunity, luck, and favorable moments. This leads to some very… Interesting sects of the church. The sect Tomasso belongs to focuses on love, pleasure; and specifically, pleasuring your partner.

•This sect he belongs to causes problems for him personally, since he’s got OCD issues about making skin contact, hence the long sleeves and gloves.

•One of the requirements of his sect is to go out show people “love”, Because of this, he flirts incorrigibly with anyone and everyone to make up for the fact that his OCD prevents him from going the whole way, even though he really wishes he could.

•Tomasso is the cook of the party! He carries around a whole case of spices and herbs with him as he travels. He cooks predominantly Italian-syle dishes, but he likes to learn all the different types of cuisines as they travel across the land.

•Due to an unknown incident in his past, he has a chronic phobia of broken glass. It’s suspected that it has something to do with the stained glass windows often found churches.

•Tomasso tends to pick on Falke a lot, mostly because he doesn’t really understand a lot of the stuff Falke does.

•He also tends to flirt with Mirale, even though she never really has any part of it, since she sees it more as teasing.

•To keep himself “desirable for all the love making types” (in his own words), Tomasso regularly works out to keep himself “buff and stuff”, (in Falke’s own words).

•There’s an ongoing back and forth game of keep away between Falke and Tomasso with Falke’s wallet. He says he does it to keep Falke on his toes, but secretly deep down, it’s because he keeps wanting to sneak a peak at the picture of Richard P. Feynman that Falke keeps in his wallet, cuz Tomasso loves his hair and thinks he’s handsome.

•Under no circumstances, does Tomasso ever, ever mess with Freya. He tried that trick once of pulling the quarter out from behind her ear. Nobody knows what happened after that, but he gives her a wide birth now.
