Alright y'all have spoken!! Isopod time! I currently have two cultures started: Armadillidium maculatum "chocolate zebras" and Cubaris sp. "red panda kings." To be honest I really desperately want rubber duckies but they're expensive, like it warm and humid, and are super shy so I probably won't get them, as cute as they are. Now pictures!
First is my largest red panda! I'm pretty sure it's a juvenile and will get a bit bigger but boy is it a cute lil dude! The next is one of my chocolate zebras enjoying some damp sphagnum moss. Followed by another chocolate zebra, who was evidently traumatized by being picked up to go into the enclosure. As such, ball 🥺 Finally we have the one standard zebra that snuck into my culture of chocolates! He is hanging out in his own cup with an absolutely massive dairy cow (my fiance got ~100 dairy cows and I found one I liked so I'm keeping her lol).
On top of these I've got some white sharks I won at auction, they're an adorable dwarf cubaris species!
I'm also gonna be going to a reptile store to see what cultures they have, and hopefully expand my herds! Yay for genetic diversity! Also I only have five of the pandas and I want more lol
(hopefully the store has cappuccino isopods. They're my favorite and I Want Some)
I'll keep updating this post as things happen!
Hey does anyone wanna see my new isopods?
