Quietly flops in while curling slightly with a small groan.

His tone might be questionning, but he could recognize her anywhere. He would recognize any of his friends anywhere. Well... Alternate versions, but unless proven otherwise, he would rather see alternates of his old friends in a positive manner.

Part of him worried about what she would think, were she to learn more about him. He did not intend to pass off as her Allen however, both out of respect; and also because there was no way to do so.

His curse was gone, he was visibly a bit older, in his early twenties, he had a white coat with a familiar mask that did not radiate Innocence energy. It was as if he simply had a white coat, yet the way it shifted, fluffed lightly, betrayed the sentience existing.

Still, Allen waited to see her reaction, what she would say. All he did was smile, small and sheepish, scratching his cheek with a finger.

112. “At least we’re going together.”

Sitting on the train with dusk just barely beginning to settle over the horizon, Lavi heaved a weary sigh. They’d been stuck on board since the early hours of the morning and still had quite the distance to travel before they were scheduled to arrive at their desired location - a small town a considerable length away from the European Branch. 

There, Innocence was rumored to lurk within the confines of a cave that the townsfolk had deemed ‘The gateway to hell’ due to the supposedly mysterious and unnaturally warm nature of the location. 

However, the tales were simply that; tales. They had circulated throughout the population for generations, but there was no further proof pertaining to the authenticity behind the so called phenomenon. Fearful of the repercussions of threading upon the forbidden land, no resident had so much as stepped foot in the cave for years, making it so there was a high chance the story was entirely falsified. 

A journey of such length and little evidence usually would have escaped the Order’s attention, as it was far more dangerous than it was supposedly worth, but the amount of Innocence being stolen by noah was rising and the number of exorcists was falling drastically, leaving the executives with no choice other than to send out scouts to investigate.

These scouts, perhaps due to sheer misfortunate on their part, consisted on both Lenalee and himself. The orders had been given the moment they had returned from another job and, between the exertion of their last trip and the long ride, they both were exhausted. 

Beside him, Lavi could detect the telltale hints of discontent dragging the girls lips into a frown, and the red head knew he needed to say something - anything - to lift the other’s mood. He couldn’t stand seeing the female disheartened, and sought to rectify the situation, 

“Hey, at least we’re going together, right?” He smiled, raising his arms so his heads were pressing leisurely against the back of his head, “Think of it as a mini vacation; no Bookman or higher up ta order us ‘round. Maybe, if this whole thing does end up ta be some kinda hoax, we can enjoy the scenery. I hear the beaches ‘round there are pretty nice!”

your muse’s thoughts on authority figures.

Allen respects the concept of authority figures, and will go with respect/politeness first. If the authority figure earn genuine respect, Allen tends to feel, impressed? Happy? that someone in such a position is a good person (or is doing good enough).

For example, he deeply respects Komui, although soon it turned into actually viewing Komui as an older brother.

On the other end, if the authority figure turns out to be bad, Allen is not afraid to show his displeasure. If he has to stay polite he will, if he cannot do anything, but unless truly necessary the person will know Allen doesn’t appreciate them. If he can, he can actually try to make them lose their position, especially if they can hurt others.

Leverrier is a very good example of a figure of authority Allen has lost respect for. He cannot do anything to Leverrier, but Allen has made no secret of how he feels. Allen lowkey threatened Leverrier when he dared suggest Allen had anything to do with Cross’ murder, and highkey almost broke the door when he left and slammed it shut.

Now the fun part is, as an Exorcist of the Black Order, Allen was technically a figure of authority. A lot of it is implicit or ambiguous, but we see Exorcists be given leeway with transportation, easily getting place to rest, we see some people who knowingly work with them, and we never really see them get in trouble with local authority. In some cases, its more or less shown that they take charge, especially if Akumas are truly involded (or Innocence).

So, in a certain manner, Allen did have to deal with having a position similar to figure of authority.

Nea doesn’t care for figure of authority. If they’re decent, he’ll just treat them as anyone else, and at most if he doesn’t feel like having troubles, he’ll give politeness just to be left alone (or not stand out).

If they’re not decent, Nea would say he doesn’t feel surprised, as he knows how humans can be. He doesn’t actually think humans are bad, he just knows how easy it is to find bad people.

Sometimes, he can however take pleasure in playing around with them (the figures that are not decent). It can go from making police go in circle or lose trails, to break the reputation of someone. He rarely go out of his way to personally deal with figure of authority, but it can happen, as he does have some buttons.

Still, at the end of the day, he doesn’t care for authority, and only dirty his hands if they really bothered him. Or if they bothered someone he cares for, now that’s a huge no-no for him. You’re authority and you did something bad to someone he cares for? Prepare for mental hell, he’s not letting you off easy.

On a final part: Allen&Nea are a terrifying combo toward authority. Allen brings the necessary politeness to counter the detachment from Nea, but both of them does not appreciate abuse of power and both are not afraid to show they do not respect you. You can never know which of the two is worse to offend, and both will make you feel their presence and their eyes on you.

Both are also very much about mental attacks first, Allen with false innocence, and Nea with amused predator aura. Both have the aura of I have my eyes on you, and you never know which is going to be your doom if you continue.

Kanda listened to the broken words, facing away while quietly sheathing Mugen. They’d been assigned their first scouting mission together, one that’d been supposed to be quick and relatively easy. Until the Level 1 showed up.

“Stop that.” Turning around to look down at the teary-eyed girl, his eyes seemed as cold and unforgiving as ever. He took a moment to just stare at her, taking in the blossoming bruises and her now disheveled uniform and hair. She was clearly a mess… but she’d survived, along with him. She was strong and he’d seen her resolve before.

The light frown on his face eased up some as his hand reached out toward her. “…It’s not like you got us killed, right?” And somehow, somewhere in that crude remark, there was also an unspoken reassurance and encouragement.

Glances at Krory with a thought in her mind before going over curiously. "Krory!" She lets out a bad cough with a small groan. "Does Krory bite cure being sick?" gently raises her hand giving Krory a small pat upon his white bangs.
