a week into a nightmarish state created under the watchful eye of stryker has taken a toll on the mansions inhabitants, separating, wounding and even taking the lives of those who are doing everything in their power to put an end to it. there’s one question that is looming over everyone’s mind as they navigate their way through this hell: what or who caused such a sudden slip? it quite literally happened overnight and aside from the hordes of sentinels that guard every city corner, the culprit that brought them to this dystopian future far worse from which they came is still unknown. 

with the sudden influx of those opposing stryker’s reign, the entire state of new york has gone on lockdown. any and all non-civilians found roaming the city were brought into several different facilities scattered throughout the state without a second thought. there’s no telling what will happen here, so it’s best to prepare for anything. 

as stated above, stryker’s men (with the aid of the sentinels) collected any and all non-civilians in sight and brought them to holding facilities located in each of the five boroughs: manhattan, bronx, brooklyn, queens and staten island. 

each facility is heavily guarded by stryker’s men who are given the instructions to keep those captured by any means necessary. 

the staten island facility is the base of operations for stryker’s plans as he watches over the chaos, the bronx facility is where surveillance is monitored, the queens facility is where sentinels are produced and stored, the brooklyn facility is where mutants and metahumans alike are brought in order to get experimented in the labs and the manhattan facility handles the transport of those in captivity and stryker’s men. 

using this knowledge some things characters may attempt are distracting guards to shut down surveillance (so that neighboring teams of stryker are none the wiser of any attempts to break free), sabotaging the sentinels, using transportation vehicles as a way out, etc.

those captured are being held in concrete holding cells with a single door that is only accessible from the outside. inhibitor collars (ref one and two) are also in use.

below the cut are 5 randomized groups of those in each facility. while you may continue all event threads, if you wish to post a team specific starter make sure to signify somewhere (either in the text post itself or in the tags) which group it is meant for. 

this plot drop will last from tuesday, july 10th at 10 pm gmt until the end of the event altogether, monday, july 16th at the same time.

NAME: pietro magnus AGE: 28 ALIAS: quicksilver SPECIES: mutant

the Prince of Magnus, half of the rightful heir to King Magnus. spoiled like most royalty but not exactly not doted on, pietro has spent this version of his life residing within the walls of Castle Magnus. he has grown bearing the crown of prince along side his twin sister, princess wanda. not long ago, his father made a deal with the Inhumans, agreeing to wed pietro to princess crystalia amaquelin of Atlantis to mend their previous rivalry and discourse. now, with a baby on the way, it seems the marriage has done just as it was intended to.

//  : WHY DO YOU RISE?

WANDA MAGNUS – his twin and  his other half. there was a time where they were glued to the hip, wherever wanda ventured, her frosty haired counter part was always a step away in either direction. as they’ve aged and more recently in the last few years, they’ve grown apart only in physical proximity. as he spends more time with his wife and unborn child, pietro finds himself busy with things other than hovering behind his sister. they’re still very close and enjoy the time they do spend together when it arises --- she still knows him better than anyone and all it takes is but a glance to read one another. but they’ve ultimately started families of their own. they continue to closely orbit one another’s lives just as they had before. CRYSTALIA AMAQUELIN MAGNUS – in the beginning, pietro wanted as little part of their marriage as crystalia did. he was beyond furious ---- mostly at the thought his father had the right to do such a thing, but as time has passed and the two have truly gotten to know one another, he’s come to his senses. not out of respect for his father or the ridiculous treaty his wedding was built on, but because somewhere along the way he absolutely fell in love with crystalia. they still argue and fight, but they’re something more akin to lovers quarrels than outraged lashing out, and more due to their remarkable likeness, than hatred. with a baby on the way and a remarkable woman by his side, pietro really couldn’t be happier.  LORNA MAGNUS – they bitch and argue, but he does love his baby sister. he’s capable of being just as protective of her as he is of wanda when it truly comes down to it and if lorna ever really needed something from him, he’d be there without question.  ERIK MAGNUS –  pietro loves his father but he also dislikes him. he would rather pick at him with insults and snide remarks than show any real affection. he’s still irritated by the way his marriage was handled, and even attempted to dislike crystalia out of spite but ultimately, the pieces fell where they did. he’s happy with his wife and family ---- though he’s too petty to give his father the satisfaction of feeling justified for too long. if they share the same space for too long, words will ultimately be said.  WILLIAM MAGNUS – pietro likes to say that william is his favorite nephew. his bias is probably stems from his likeness to his own twin, but he doesn’t read too deeply into the matter. william’s temperament  compliments pietro’s, much like the way it does with william’s twin and they get along very well. he’s more himself with william and sees quite a bit of wanda in the boy with each passing day.   THOMAS MAGNUS – they share a similar power. thomas is far less cynical than the elder speedster and seems to do things more for the humor than an actual dislike, but they get along most days. when thomas isn’t intentionally striking a nerve, that is. of course, pietro is always quick to throw it right back at him, treating the boy more like a younger brother than his sisters son. though pietro wont mention it, it’s nice to have someone that understands the struggles of being faster than the world around you can seem to compensate. 

//  :  WHEN DID YOU SEE THE LIGHT?

 pietro is entirely blind to the fact that there had ever been another reality. as far as he’s concerned this is the life he has always lived and there has never been another. he’s content in his domain, has no real reason not to be, he’s royalty and has never known poverty here. though he finds the political aspects of reign to be boring and ever tedious, he’s better off than most.

having never died or been separated from his twin has settled things back to a state close to the way they’d been, with wanda, at least. he’s both comfortable with his speed and skilled with it, having had these abilities for much longer than his previous life. his wife and unborn child give him hope for a bright future, something he seemed to struggle with prior to.
