Hello!! This be your Secret Santa, I have a question bout your cryptid boys real quick! With Moon's birch bark cover in the more recent ref, are those his wings? Or is it a camouflage blanket he covers himself in, so he blends into the trees more when its dark? Just wanna make sure, thank ya! <3

yeah they are his wings he just wraps them around him like a bat or like a cape for fun. i forgot his burnt wings parts but uhhhh they are at the ends of his wings you can see it. sorry for the wait for the response i wanted to draw a ref for you!!! since only sun really had a full illustration done of him. ;;

Cryptid Moon, devouring half the fridge contents: forgive me, most gracious of hosts, but do you have any more of these magical food boxes? My brothers are very hungry, as well.

Y/N: brothers? I am very sorry, but this is not a hotel.

Cryptid Sun, from the living room: I found the comfiest nest here! Such a delight to knead all of these soft pillows and build a home.

Y/N: how did you even get in? The door was not unlocked.

Cryptid Moon: no, but now it is slightly unhinged. We require shelter and warmth. Will you have us, sweet host?

Cryptid Sun: Would sure be a shame if we were thrown out back into the cold. All alone...all on our own...in the dark.

Cryptid Moon: especially during this harrowing Winter season.

Cryptid Sun: I get such severe joint pain in this humid weather, woe is me! I can hear my bones weep in pain! Pain, I say!

Y/N: alright, alright, you can stop, fine. You may stay for a bit, but we will set some basic house rules. Wasn't there another brother, as well?

Cryptid Eclipse, with a dark and layered voice echoing from the basement area: Such a magnificent lair this is, I declare it worthy of being my new kingdom, mine to reign as I please. This hidden haven is perfect for making a stash of prey flesh, as well.

Y/N, opening the basement door: no prey stash in the house! You got a perfectly good forest out there for that! And I want that "lair" to remain clean at all times. Understood?

Cryptid Eclipse, with a slightly grumpy growl:...fine.

Most of it is copy pasted from the wip post, but I also have some ✨️ design notes ✨️ for some of my designs of each of @naffeclipse's boys! And my version of yn/reader lol. There is also some new additions to the design notes lol

yn/reader: so there are some hats that have a little veil attached to them called mosquito hats (learned this after searching sun hats once) and I figured that'd probably be something we'd wear out in the jungle!

SJ eclipse/Vinicius: remember how when sj eclipse dies, one of his optics are very damaged? I decided to make that a part of my version of vinicius's design by giving him a scar on his left eye >:]

SJ moon/Meztli: attached to his hood is an appendage on the back of his head, similar to a tail, and at the end of it there is something like a rattlesnakes rattle!

CS Eclipse/Tlhoolcha: Hes got two hoods! One of them is bigger and almost always hanging, and he often uses it to cover his face, especially when its dark and when hes guiding us back to safety so you dont see what he looks like and what he is (I headcanon that we do know he is a naga, we just dont want to spoil it for him). He is also a big sweetie (at least compared to the others not including meztli and helio) and he calls us heart, so I decided to give him a heart on his chest <3

SID Eclipse Sun and Moon/Saulo Inacio and Luan: Saulo doesnt have many scars as I headcanon that he doesnt get into fights that often, but! What happened to his hood, why is a whole chink of it ripped off? Oh well, same reason why Inacio is missing a chunk of his, and why Luan once had two of what Meztli has but doesnt have either! They got into a (un)friendly little fight UwU. Also I have no regrets towards making inacio and luan goth. Yes it was accidental no there were no regrets

DE Eclipse/Jacare: so um (stares at the more detail I put into him) its uh totes clear that hes my least favorite, yeah? Yeah? Hey wait guys no where are you going I have actual design notes for him I swear- So I feel like he'd be very eager to show off certain things hes gained from his hunts, so I decided that man wears jewelry made of bones of his kills, most of them being from tougher, bigger, and/or more sentient creatures. And he wears one very sharp one of his tail with a ribbon wrapped around the base of it and his tail to keep it on lol. Also I suddenly decided that I like the way he looks with his face and under belly and such being white so uh yeah.

I made so many mistakes, like at least one with every one of them god damn it gahh 😭

Well they still turned out alright, they look cute hnngg

The Cryptid and The Collector - Moon

Fic summary: "Haunted by the silent whispers of a Barghest attack, you've always been careful as to how long you stay out at night. As darkness shrouds the forest you beeline home, hip bag filled with various animal bones you've found throughout the day. However, one fateful night you don't return home alone... How do you live, knowing that man's greatest fear has you in its' sights?"

Hello ladies, gentlemen, and creatures of the night! This is my cryptid Moon design for an AU I'll be writing for roughly this time next year [as I don't want 3 ongoing fics at once]

The Cryptid and The Collector follows a reader who lives in a small village; during their nights off, they wander the woods and scope out roads for animal remains. They've always been very cautious as to how far out they walk alone due the sightings of the ghastly Barghest that has followed them throughout their life.

Unbeknownst to them, the forest is home to a pair of Pinstripe Demons - a type of cryptid that has evolved over millions of years to mimic and possess humans.

They've had their eyes on you for a long time, and they won't be letting to return home alone...

Sneaky peak because this AU won't be written up until after Celestial Scales is done :]

You read right! I made book covers for Cryptid Sighting. I didn’t have alot to do in school and it was good practice as I am in a design school where I learn to do this kind of thing. 

However! After some research (quik google search) turns out the average book has 90.000 words. Cryptid Sighting has 260.000~. So of course I had to make three covers. 

Stating with number 1

Next number 2 each cover has its own summary 

Last but not least number 3 the thing that took the longes was the wirting and getting everthying in its proper place. 

And the back to backs.

I finally finished my custom 3DS case painting. It depicts an interpretation of Eclipse from @naffeclipse Cryptid sightings.

Completely hand painted, using both acrylic and spray paint. Took maybe 15 hours to make excluding drying times for the gloss and spray paint coats.

This is the digital drawing I made to create the paper stencil. I ended up scrapping the tail in the final piece because of how small it was and it isn't actually canon to the boys I don't think.
