I know adverbs are Controversial, but “said softly” means something different than “whispered” and this is the hill I will die on.

PSA (that has already been articulated better than me before)

The ‘dead dove, do not eat’ tag does NOT mean “there’s bad things in this fic”

It means “the things I ALREADY TAGGED will be in this fic, read at your own risk”

It’s a tag to let the reader know they will be encountering specific tags within the written work, which may include triggering content. Just tagging ‘dead dove’ is like shouting “trigger warning!” at someone without actually warning them of what may trigger them. Tag them triggers, y’all.
