Following the post about the [Japanese edition of The Vampire Armand], here are the other Anne Rice novels that have a cover illustration by manga artist Azumi Moka (who I believe did all of them).

The Sleeping Beauty series, volumes 1–3.
Anyone who wants to collect these but doesn't live in Japan can use a proxy shopping service, there are several for Japanese websites.

"One night before Christmas"
In my previous post I mention that I want to share my fanfiction here so it’s first one!
Here’s link to Ao3, I also make little collages, that reflect two sides of Domenico -  Realtà e Scena
Cry to Heaven is one of my absolute favourite Anne Rice’ book. It’s kept me motivated when I was studied music history and opera singing. I truly love how Anne writes character’s story but when Domenico disappeared it seemed a little strange, their love/hate with Tonio and sudden leave to Roma was all that we as readers have. So, when my dad passed away, I started this little work as some kind of escapism.
It’s entirely in Russian with inclusion of Baroque operas librettos in Italian, prayers in Latin and Greek.
There’re only few fanfiction on Cry to heaven on the internet and… It’s unfair, because book is incredible.
(Don't miss Marius cameo!)
I hope, you'll like this little Christmas tale❤️✨📕

Reading Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice and wondering HOW her smut scenes are so GOOD. It puts every single smut scene I’ve ever written to shame 😭

Sighs.
The next book on my TBR is another Anne Rice book… Cry to Heaven.
I’ve heard things. I’ve also read the first line and pretty much gasped lol. This is book #6 into AR (The Mummy which please add into the Immortal Universe, the first 4 TVC books and now this).
Previous book was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which was a nice break after reading a lot of horror/gothic literature.
This book journey can be exhausting! I’ve read 20 books this year and my goal is 25-30 which to top last year.

Do you have a favorite book??
I have so many! I think today I’ll discuss Cry To Heaven by Anne Rice.
“This is the story of the castrati, the exquisite and otherworldly sopranos whose graceful bodies and glorious voices win the adulation of royal courts and grand opera houses throughout Europe. These men are revered as idols—and, at the same time, scorned for all they are not.”
It’s impossible to imagine how the castrati must have felt - not whole, still male, not fully male. They would never be able to procreate even if they wanted to and all because they voice that rivaled the angels. The church did this unapologetically indiscriminately.
It’s a story about more than just one person and like all Rice books, the twists and turns were many. Overall, I enjoyed this book as it wasn’t a vampire book and it wasn’t about witches. It’s background lay in real events that really happened.
If you want something different, give it a read. I’m about to reread it myself.

I think changing anne rice's "cry to heaven" to be called "falsetto" was a horrible choice and I honestly cannot understand it...

Creeper - Cry To Heaven (Official Music Video)
My cannibal baby, she has a hunger in her eyes One hand on her hip and the other down his thighs I've got a bloodlust baby, she wears a human disguise Black lace and leather with her natural desires She'll lay you on the bed She'll make you beg

I'm reading Cry to Heaven, and for me this is the best book that Anne Rice has ever written… And I think when I finish this book it will take the place of my favorite book so far… But I would like to understand why this evil woman always writes a polygamous relationship with people who cheat on their partners. She made me read the most beautiful declaration of love of my entire life (because I don't usually read romantic novels…) and then this woman, after a few pages, gives me a scene of betrayal so sad that it seems all of Loustat's suffering. Anne Rice plz…………… I'll see you in hell, wait for me.
