the attempt was a gift forged in silence & (it was not summer, but still time to summon) words hollowed with fear

the angel called itself poet and a crux and a word how like moxy but did not come alone

there was a skeleton girl with eyes that said too much (the angel had eyes but best not to think on them - no one wanted anyone to peer into their soul, not even their gods)

and there was a boy who offered hugs and somehow was less alien than angels

Jay…. offered a prompt that was not the word jaysome.

Okay.

That’s entirely possible. Maybe.

 1) we get to that inna minnut , Ealing down by the muffle...

2) part of an actual text - today even 

3) so a free line and i will digress back to the title referring to a not prompt by @cruxymox 

4) knock knock - who dat ? a joke not a riddle  -for a clue electrical 

5) ( ur right i may never be - deleted  -)  at least imma free or duz i mean at last - do lines escape from cages 

6) there r 2 correct answers 

7) and now it gets difficult  like hard or duz i mean ez like chivalry ( u dont still use that do u ) 

8) will myriad do 

9) on the other one hand zen empty set game match 

10) you so fukken special  imma 

11) a continuation in case we forgot the alliteration or - the answer is banana the 1st time but after numerous multitudes even it changes to orange  only a poem without any feelings - no i dont think so but then i mostly rite about my cat

So ends The Day of Horrible Poetry. I definitely got a good chuckle out of your subject choices and ehh... uncommon! use of the English language. One thing's for sure: it wasn't horrible at all.

Here are Six Things:

Last song - Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett (I was in the car with my dad)

Last show - A few minutes of a random episode of NCIS: New Orleans. I loved that show when it was on and even visited a couple of the filming locations the last time @cruxymox and I were in New Orleans.

Currently reading - I just finished an issue of Tattoo Life magazine. I'm between books right now.

Currently watching - Our dog Lily grooming herself.

Current obsession - Trying to heal myself from a lifetime of trauma.

Unrelated obsession - Tattoos and finding an artist for my next one.

I pause. The boy who entered the office did so without actually opening the door. He grins, and the grin hits like nothing else, not even seeing a puppy.

“Hiiii Francyne!!!”

No one gets my name right. “Hello. Can I help you?”

“Uh-huh! @cruxymox wrote a poem that wasn’t about a Jay and!! I’ve asked it questions but it gives really confusling answers you know!!”

“I -.” I pause. “This isn’t normally a police matter?”

“It’s not?!”

“The poem isn’t a missing person. I doubt it committed a crime?”

“It might not have been jaysome,” the boy offers quite seriously.

“I will ask a detective to look into it?”

“That’s a good idea! Lance helps a Jay a lot,” and the boy is gone. I blink, rubbing my face.

Somehow I know he didn’t show up on the cameras. I close files, and I read a poem.

When a Jay is jaysomely liminal!!!
