crushboy knows I like him, he said he's been getting those "vibes" from me all semester, he doesn't like me back but he cherishes me as a friend. Plus he scolded me because i was crying over him, because apparently i "deserve better"??? I was literally crying on his knee though, I think he just wanted me to stop crying, but then he said I deserve better and I started crying again lol

and then we had a cuddle pile on my friend's bed, but we're drunk so it doesn't mean anything. Lmaooooo I'll see what our dynamic is once we're sober

I know you said i have better things coming, and that's what my friends and crushboy told me too, but it doesn't feel that way. But it also doesn't hurt as much as i thought it would

so I'm not okay, but I think I will be. Sometime in the future.

the thing about something that sucks is that when you are in it, you can't see past it. right now this thing with crushboy is too fresh and too real and it's going to take some time for you to be able to see it for what it really is.

and it's not about crushboy being a terrible person or deserving to have a 50 lb iron dropped on his foot or an entire load of his white laundry turned pink by a single red sock (though if any of those things do happen well that's life my man, sucks to be you) but it's just about crushboy not being the hero in your story.

maybe you thought he was and maybe you tried to write him in and maybe you had to trash the whole doc because you realized it's not working. also maybe this has happened to me 🤣

so it's going to take a minute to move past crushboy as the main character. not saying he's not part of your story, but he's not the hero for damned sure. the good news is that whoever is coming down the pike is gonna be 4K and crushboy is gonna be 780p 🤣

“so like, are you super flexible or what?” he chats casually, eyes not leaving you as he squirts water from his bottle into his mouth.

“rafe we need you out here, games startin’ back up!” another player calls from behind him and his eyes flutter into an irritable roll, turning half around.

“i’m having a fuckin’ conversation here alright? you can wait a god damn minute!” he calls back before his eyes meet yours once more. “sorry ‘bout that… go ahead.”

Uhura's right eye twitches.

"She can understand you," Jimmy says. "She's a xenolinguist."

Bones's eyes narrow. He's so much more indignant in person than in the background of Jimmy's video calls. "What are you going on about now? I hate when you do this. I always feel like you're planning how to dispose of my body."

Jimmy had told him that Bones had started studying Vulcan. He'd also told him that he was incredibly bad at it, but not everyone can be Jimmy, which was realistically probably for the best.

He drops down to standard Vulcan to say, "Ah, so you have a talented tongue," since there's really no way to say that in High Vulcan that's a double entendre. It doesn't help that most of their potentially risque phrases are hand rather than mouth oriented, but he's learned to make do.

Spock turns an unhealthy shade of pale as his eyes widen the tiniest amount in abject horror.

Uhura raises her eyebrow in a way that reminds him of his brother. "To master a language is the study of a lifetime. I would be most appreciative if you were to give me a hand in achieving this endeavor."

Spock's skin flushes and he looks around like he's seriously considering running away from this conversation.

Sybok is delighted.

"Uhurua!" Jimmy shouts, hands on his hips. "Come on! I say that to you and you don't even let me buy you a drink, but you'll just proposition Sybok in the middle of the hallway?"

"She did what?" Bones hisses.

That is one possible interpretation of her words.

"I might have gotten around to propositioning you too," she says, "if you hadn't gotten your ass beat."

"Okay, I think I did okay, actually," Jimmy argues while Bones's face morphs into an expression eerily similar to Spock's.

Before I start, I need to tell you that I screenshotted yours and everyone else's responses to my predicament and I read them whenever I feel heartsick, so thank you for those ❤️

Here it goes: crushboy has a girlfriend. Some mutual friend of a friend. Very new and very recent. They're in a long distance relationship. This is not the problem part, obviously, I'm happy for him if he's happy.

The problem part is that he told his gf about me liking him, and now she's not "comfortable" with him talking to me. So now not only do I get to see him be happy with someone else, I have also lost a good friend of mine. And because we're both part of a big friend circle, we have to constantly sit in the same room and avoid each other.

I just... don't even know. So I'm just going to somehow get through the rest of this course, and then hopefully I'll only see him once it stops hurting so much.

Again, thank you for your words and advice, and it's high time I buried myself in my academics anyway.

man, there are so many factors at play here. but i read this and then i read it again and honestly the part that i keep getting stuck on -- the part that's kind of bothering me -- is that he made of point of telling his girlfriend you were crushing on him.

Weird thing I always imagine. Idk if they’ve been invented in teyvat but let’s say they have so….rollie chair Dottore. Specifically if he’s taking care of fragile reader in his office, just cleaned their arm in preparation for needle, but wait that needle is over on his desk, that’s okay he’ll just wheelie over !! Idk just imagining him rolling from desk to desk to grab some papers and whatnot is so scientist/doctor coded

The only reason Dottore owns one of these rolling chairs is because you were the one who bought it in the first place (very much persuaded by Pantalone's luxurious one.) The Doctor prefers a regular ordinary chair, as that's what he's worked with his whole life and sees no reason to change, but that's also probably because he could care less as long as it doesn't break. You, however, are of the opinion that spinning chairs = fun. You replace his main chair with the rolling one. Dottore still doesn't care. He's much more in the habit of simply getting up whenever he needs something. You sit in his lap and try to push him to get it to roll but you're not strong enough for that of course. The mission is mostly unsuccessful. Mostly. He does sometimes unintentionally roll when the distance is short, and then just continues since he's already doing it. You find it very entertaining, and he does admit to the convenience. (Foxttore loves the chair the most. Lil shit refuses to get off it sometimes.)
