A New World Is Coming To The Sims 4

The Sims Community made a recent post today linked HERE, but I will also sum it up right here for you:

They received a postcard from the sims team announcing a new town called Henford-on-Bagley (pictures at the end of the summary)

The message on the back of the postcard is from the Crumplebottoms!

Dearest friend, We are so pleased you're joining us in Henford-on-Bagley! I'm sure you will enjoy the quaint countryside life. Do visit us at our Garden Stall when you arrive!

P.S. - I heard the mayor talking about a worldwide tourism video for Henford-on-Bagley premiering June 10 at 8:00 AM Pacific Time on YouTube.com/TheSims! How exciting!

SOOOOO, what this tells me at least is that the Crumplebottoms are making a come back in the sims 4, so despite the fact that I was planning on making a post about the timeline of the sims games, I will instead be working on a Crumplebottoms lore post!

I don't want to get my hopes up too much with this pack, but people are theorizing either just a country themed pack OR farming? horses? Who knows! Maybe the video on Thursday will give us more information!

So I was working on a post about the Crumplebottom family to go out tomorrow after the trailer (in hopes of getting more info) when I realized that we don’t actually know who the Crumplebottoms on the post card are.

The post card is signed by A & A Crumplebottom, but the only Crumplebottom we know whose name starts with an A is Agnes, who has been in every sims game except the sims 4.

So either, Agnes got married (again) and her spouse took her last name OR we aren’t looking at Agnes here. In ts3, Agnes and her late husband had wanted children, considering the fact that ts4 is on an alternate timeline, is it possible that they had 2 children? Or perhaps they had one child before her husband died and Agnes is raising it?

Either way, all we know for sure right now is that we are at the very least going to meet a new member of the Crumplebottom family

SimGuruDoi went to twitter with a thread! From the sounds of it, the pack will be based on Scotland, where farming is a big part of their lives, AND fairies are a big part of their folklore!!

So, the Sims team took to twitter to let us know that the Game Changers already got to see the trailer, and they showed us a bit of their reactions to it, but what caught my eye, was this:

Where it says every bunny

So I checked out the video on their youtube channel and found this:

Yet another reference to bunnies, the phrasing ‘A little bird told us’ (chickens anyone?), and the sentence ‘find out how a simple life can make for an expanded game’. I don’t know about elsewhere in the world, but here in the US, we often refer to country/farm living as living a simple life. Take this as you will 😉
