Im going to be a huge lil art nerd and have a lil rant that I love how in the first ep of Interview with the Vampire Louis apparently just owns Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion by Francis Bacon. Of course he has these tortured paintings which have blood red backgrounds (because vampires duh) and worth squillions of dollars.

Also Francis Bacon was:

- Gay & thrown out of home for it

- Addicted to alcohol and gambling

- Had a lot of abusive relationships

- Attracted to his dad, apparently

- Liked painting screaming mouths and crucifxions

- After his younger lover committed suicide, he said that he was stalked by “demons, disaster and loss" & became obsessed with “the passage of time & death” (source Wikipedia because I’m an academic).

Mmm mmm THE THEMES ARE ON POINT. I’m looking forward to what the rest of the series is going to serve up 👌🏽
