UWELL Crown III Tank Review

Today I would like to share my impression of the queen of tank-- CROWN III Tank Atomizer from UWELL, the best tank after UWELL CROWN I.

The Crown III in the box:

In the box you get the tank pre-installed with a 0.25ohm parallel coil, a spare 0.5ohm coil, a spare glass, a bag of extras which includes spare orings, a silicone drip tip cover, the manual and a warning card.

At the top of the 24.5mm diameter stainless steel tank you get one of their new colourful drip tips. Most of the tip is made from delrin with just the coloured band and the gold trim being metal. It does a great job of dissipating heat and in the time I've been using the tank I haven't felt the need to change it out, plus it's all matchy matchy with the tank. Just below the drip tip is the top fill cap, it's fairly unique in that it only has about two threads on it so opening and closing it is super easy with just a quick turn but it still manages to stay on tight without coming loose during regular use. The tank portion is made up of three pieces four if you include the lock nut. It's comprised of an upper tank piece, the glass and lower tank piece, once together and locked they won't come apart until you unlock them.

Coils:

As I mentioned above the tank comes with a 0.25ohm SUS316 parallel coil and a spare 0.5ohm SUS316 parallel coil. The 0.25ohm coil is rated for 80-90w while the 0.5 is rated for 70-80w.The pre-installed coil is 0.25Ohms and it says 80-90W. I hope you can see on this picture that there are 3 airflow holes on the bottom part and they are adjustable with a stopper. The 0.5ohm for almost a week and had absolutely no issues with it and really enjoyed the performance I was getting out of it. Cloud production and flavour were both on point at least as far as sub-ohm tanks go. Both coils appear to be built the same with the only difference likely being the gauge of wire used inside.

With the 0.25ohm coil like I said I didn't really get much more performance out of it in the upper wattage ranges and was actually running it at the bottom end or even lower around 75w and it was performing just fine. Same applied to the 0.5ohm coil, I was running it most of the time around 65w.As mentioned above I did notice with the 0.25 ohm coil that I got a bit of leaking, but it was never more then a few drops gathered in the condensation cup. Once in a while it would dribble out the air holes when I went to hit it after it'd been sitting for a while. With the 0.5ohm coil I never got any leaking so it's possible it's just that one coil.
