Hiya! I am both a Ted Lasso and a football fan, and first I want to say that I have absolutely no beef with people who like Ted Lasso and have no knowledge of or interest in football. You're so valid. I cannot think of a single thing that would make me interested in American football, so I feel you. I have never made a post like this, and I expect never to again, but there is one little thing about fan discussion on "Sunflowers" that has been driving me crazy.

I have seen these tops worn in the pillow fight scene referred to as everything from "undershirts" to "crop tops." They are actually pinnies. (Singular pinny, from the word "pinafore" because British English is just like that.) Pinnies are a sort of mesh vest players wear over their jerseys to denote sides during scrimmages or when they are around the pitch during gameplay (on the bench, on the line waiting to sub in, warming up nearby, etc) to let officials know at a quick glance that they are not in the game atm.

They are usually not fitted like this, but media liberties and eye candy, etc. This is Leicester City during pre-match warm-ups. This group was all subs, so most of them are wearing pinnies.

I somehow completely forgot to post the final stretch goal to the upcoming KS that's soon ;; so the post about it will go up on IG tonight!

This is a tee style crop I designed! The sides are paneled with white jersey mesh, and the main fabric is 100% ringspun cotton. I redesigned what was originally a sweater dress to become this, because I am really happy with the main design (which reads in full "stop! R18 adult content"), but I felt like the baggy sweater look wasn't something I wanted to try to pair with it anymore.

This is designed to sit above the hips and the paneled sides go all the way up to the bottom seams of the sleeves! As I designed it, I thought of it with joggers. A black and white colorway mockup is also included in the stretch goal.

Like all the others, they will go up to 4XL. In order to do that, I have to group sizings for most things I produce, otherwise the minimums required are not possible to fund. For sweaters this is less consequential, but for a lighter garment it might be more awkward to pick the size, so please be sure to study the size chart closely!

omg i went to the niiiiicest chic little hanbok store in new jersey yesterday they are called "the hanbok" at fort lee, the two ladies working there was soooo so so sooooo sweet and nice and welcoming 😭 i really recommend them if anyone in the area needs to rent or get custom stuff made LOL i've been to two local shops in nyc and honestly i was kind of intimidated by the ladies that owned the shops, maybe cuz they were older women and they seemed strict idk thats a ME problem but the women at the hanbok were so chill and i wasnt as scared there 🤣 i looked at a bunch of their swatches but its like playing 4d chess picking the colors cuz the swatches are taped in 2 layers, with the upper layer going over the lower layer, so its 1 layer of fabric on the white board, and 2 layers of fabric hanging off the board and IT LOOKS SO DIFFERENT cuz the material is translucent so the color changes depending on whether its single or double layer, and if its against white or colored lining? so i feel like the final product will be gacha again idk. also i shouldve prefaced by saying i got custom hanbok made from korea but obvs couldnt see the swatches irl and lemme tell u the pink photographs pink but irl its more peach so 😵‍💫 the cut and fit of it is nearly perfect tho so im still v happy w it! i took it to new jersey so the hanbok shop can recreate it with new fabric lol

see it looks so baby pink in da pics lol trickery. the underskirt the korean person send me is kind of a stiff mesh / organza layered thing, it has nice volume for pics but i feel like bc its more stiff the movement is less swishy irl? the new jersey shop is gonna make smth more layered with normal fabric so hopefully that works out better??

also im wondering if i should have asked to make the skirt shorter cuz the feet showing under is act kind of cute and practical? the current skirt is floor length lol. the feet is a nice silhouette break. i have a fitting at the end of july so maybe i can ask then 👉👈

"The powerful beauty of random assemblage" was the claim made by the show notes. "Elegant, effortless, sophisticated"—Jil Sander's own summation of her collection was scarcely more enlightening. Though "effortlessness" may actually have been pretty close to the mark. From the first—cropped white pants, cropped navy top and jacket—to the last—a black and white feathered skirt with an artful pinafore top—the outfits Sander showed today had a winning ease, a freshness that belied the designer's rep as the mistress of the fiercely pushed envelope. OK, feathers aren't exactly jersey sweats, but the designer used the pinafore effect a few times in the show and it ultimately conveyed the casual decorum of a towel draped around shoulders in a gym situation. Sporty? Well, that also played into the bared midriffs and shorts that recurred throughout. Never mind the mesh.

Sander always cut like a dream, and the jackets here that dipped in front and eased up aerodynamically in the back captured that knack. They countered her tendency to err on the side of the clinical. And so did some fractured figurative prints inspired, the show notes insisted, by the work of Arte Povera master Alighiero Boetti. They were as colorfully animated as any element Sander has ever used in a collection. They also had a perversely pleasing taint of irony. Arte Povera? Jil Sander? Mutually exclusive equations, until today.
