Going to be updating the Default Modern and Default Fantasy (canon) verses. but here’s the gist:

Fantasy, Canon - Divergent verses (Beyond the Shadows): will take place after Elene Cromwyll has died. Instead of Khali dying with her, the “goddess” manages to escape Elene’s body by possessing a nearby vir meister during the chaos. 

Viridiana Sovari and he, two years after Elene’s passing, gave a more romantic relationship a chance. Viridiana, who had started to fall for Kylar while he and Elene were still together, was a wonderful partner: kind, caring, and the rope that kept Kylar from slipping into that dark pit of despair the months following Elene’s death. Unfortunately, while he did truly care for her, he could not love her like he loved Elene. While he never admitted it, some part of him resents Viri for the events that led up to Elene’s death (even though he was the one who was ultimately responsible for it). They broke up 2 years later... and she died 6 months later from bubonic plague. This death, Kylar knows it was his fault as well.

Ulyssandra continued her magical studies and training at the Chantry well into her early adult years. Kylar visits her regularly, without the Chantry’s awareness so that they do not try to trap him and keep him for “studying”. Continuing to play the role of adoptive father (keen to keep his promise to Durzo) whenever he can. There are very few people alive during this time that know about his and  Ulyssandra connection.

Khali is still at large and Kylar will stop at nothing to wipe her, and the horros of the Vir magic, from the face of the earth.

Modern Verses: 300 years later and Khali continues to evade Kylar. He knows she’s gone underground, but there have been rumblings of a group forming that’s had their hands in a number of black market trades (human trafficking, drugs, illegal firearms dealing, etc). He’s only just managed to scratch the surface, a few names, a warehouse here and there, a supply route, but he’s getting closer to Khali. He can feel it.

Miraculously Ulyssandra’s bloodline has managed to survive 300 years later; somehow spared from Kylar’s numerous short comings that instead claimed other beloved friends and acquaintances as payment. A freshmen in college, Tania, heard she had a distant uncle, but hasn’t gotten to meet him more than once when she was a tiny tike. When her parents died due to a car crash three years ago, said uncle adopted her, but again she never saw him. Instead, a nanny of sorts stood in as caretaker so that she wouldn’t go into a foster home. From then on, this uncle of hers sends monthly allowances to help pay the school boarding fees, help with food and other expenses that a struggling college student encounters. They text often, about little things (nice weather, funny memes, how classes are going), but whenever she asks to meet him, the conversation is redirected. Not because Kylar doesn’t want to meet her... but how does one explain that the uncle she’s received money and gifts from hasn’t aged a day in nearly 600 years? That she and him physically look the same age now? No, for Kylar, this is the safest course of action, especially with the kind of life he leads. Maybe one day, after she’s independent and out of college... maybe then he’ll entertain the idea.

This was actually kinda hard to do. I have so many favorites from different fandoms! Like Star Wars there is like a dozen different fandoms within the over arching fandom. Do I just go with Star Wars in general? The cinematic universe? The Expanded Universe (Legends)? Legacy? KOTOR/SWTOR?! Am I over thinking this?! You bet your ass I am!!

If there were ever a movie adaptation for ‘The Way of Shadows’ by Brent Weeks then I sincerely hope that at least one these actors makes it to the audition:

Noah Schnapp to play Azoth/ Young Kylar Stern

Noah would play as Azoth in the beginning of the movie up until he’s fourteen, and also during flashbacks.

Cole Sprouse to play an older Kylar Stern

Cole would play Kylar once he turned sixteen and would continue to represent Kylar’s character for the rest of the movie. He’s a near perfect representation of Kylar, the only thing I would change is his hair and eye color, he should have pale blue eyes with white blond hair.

Keanu Reeves to play Durzo Blint

Keanu would represent Durzo throughout the movie, I personally like the long haired, clean shaven appearance best.

Scarlett Johansson to play Momma K/Gwinvere Kirena

Scarlett would represent Momma K throughout the movie.

Amber Heard to play Vonda Kirena

Amber would play Momma K’s sister and would only appear in the first part of the movie, during flashbacks.

Madeleine McGraw to play Doll Girl/Young Elene

Madeleine would represent Doll Girl and would only appear in the first half of the movie and in flashbacks. The only thing to change would be Madeleine’s eyes; they should be a dark brown instead of blue.

Emma Watson to play an older Elene Cromwyll

Emma would play an older Elene and would appear throughout the rest of the movie.

Jeremy Ray Taylor to play Rat/Young Roth Ursuul 

Jeremy would play Rat for the first bit of the movie and then only appear in flashbacks. The only thing to change would be his hair color which should be black.

Russell Brand as Roth Ursuul

Russell will play Roth for the remainder of the film.

Jaden Smith to play a young Jarl

Jaden will represent Jarl when he was younger and will only appear in the first half of the movie.

Sendhil Ramamurthy to play an older Jarl

Sendhil would play Jarl in the later stages of the movie.

Liam Neeson to play Duke Regnus Gyre

Liam would represent Duke Gyre for the entirety of the movie.

Nicole Kidman to play Catrinna Gyre

Nicole will play Catrinna, Duke Gyre’s wife, for the duration of the movie.

Gage Munroe to  play a young Logan Gyre

Gage will play Logan while he is still a youth and will also appear in flashbacks

Chris Evans to play an older Logan Gyre

Chris will play Logan for the majority of the film, taking over for Gage once Logan turns sixteen.

Josh Brolin to play General Brant Agon

Josh will represent General Brant for the duration of the film.

  Viggo will play Hu Gibbet for the duration of the movie

Elena Satine to play Vi Savori

Elena would represent Vi for the duration of the movie.
