The Courtauld is seeking to appoint a #Lecturer or #SeniorLecturer with a #specialism in the #history and/or #theory and/or #practice of #curating #art. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Curating will contribute to our BA Art History programme, in particular by convening a new team-taught second-year core course in #CriticalMuseology as well as developing elective modules and contributing to other team-taught modules. The new lecturer will play a leading role in developing new masters-level opportunities, including with King’s College London, with whom we have recently announced a strategic relationship. S/he may also make a contribution to our long-established MA programme ‘Curating the Art Museum’. Teaching at The Courtauld takes a variety of forms, from small-group seminars, lectures, and tutorials, to teaching in front of works of art in galleries and museums both within the UK and internationally. The post-holder will also undertake #research, supervise research students, participate in our thriving research community, and engage in activity that increases public awareness of and access to Courtauld resources, including the gallery.  We welcome applications from early career scholars as well as those with established records in research leadership, publication, curriculum design and/or reform, teaching and academic administration. Those with professional experience in the gallery, museums and heritage sectors are also warmly encouraged to apply.
