@crispynugget: soo um this might be extremely weird but what if for a halloween head canon MC wakes up on halloween as a child and how the GMS would react/deal with it (me not sure how this things work so me sorry and I love your work) :)

Sorry for not getting to this one for Halloween, I wasn’t sure how to address it for a headcanon, I had a few ideas, but some of them got intimidating for me so I hope you enjoy the end product.

It would be a strange thing for MC, to wake one morning and suddenly they’re swimming in their night clothes. Upon realizing they were now a child MC called up Simon to let them know they would not be able to make their audition that day. Simon immediately suspects something is up and at first thinks it’s a halloween prank, but after some questioning believes MC.

Simon immediately rushes to MC’s place with children’s clothes, gushing at how cute MC looks in them, while also muttering to themselves wondering how it happened. She brings MC to the one man they think might be able to help.

Sherlock Holmes

He does not believe it and believes it’s a prank, but eventually he let’s it go, not that he believes it, but that obviously something must have happened for MC to be replaced with this child that looks similar to them. He wants to contact MC’s parents to see if they know of any relatives that have a child around MC’s new perceived age to see if he could track where the child came from and figure out who may have made the switch. He needs to rule out the most likely options first.

John Watson

He also thinks it’s a prank at first, and despite him agreeing with Sherlock that the child couldn’t be the real MC he would treat the child kindly, offering them biscuits, trying to get the child to open up and tell him the truth. Even if the child was part of some scheme, they were still a child.

Mycroft Holmes

He would be very sweet, dotting on the child MC, but would eventually ask if he could have some doctors swab MC’s mouth so he could do a DNA check. Side stepping any inquiries about what DNA he would compare it to or how he got it. Finding it would be easier to prove right away if the child was telling the truth or not, and if they might be able to find any matches to locate family, if they were in the system.

When it comes back as MC he would be in momentary shock, but also happily volunteers to watch them while Sherlock went about trying to uncover as to how this could happen to MC.

Jeremy Cassel

At first thinks this is the cutest prank ever, and then immediately offers to take MC out to do whatever they wanted to do for the day. Looking up fun activities he could take them too.

Hercule Poirot

He shows up to see this for himself, a little late because he came with Arthur.

Arthur Hastings

Shows up with gifts for MC, he believed it immediately. Stranger things could happen.

George Lestrade

Panic. Wondering who he should call to make sure MC is alright. Although it’s MC he wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving the child with all of these people.

Mikah Hudson

Offers to take MC for a walk to go talk about how they’re feeling with everything. Asking if there is anything MC missed doing as a kid now that they’re all grown up, trying to get an idea of what they can do while Sherlock tries to solve the mystery.

Henry Jekyll

Is the one to arrive to swab MC’s cheek. Concerned for her well being, trying to already solve in his head what he could check for if this was MC to try and figure out what caused her to regress in age.

Edward Hyde

Will try to pick MC up. He will want to play with them, both because they’re a kid and should be distracted from the situation and/or excited because MC is somehow a kid and he would want to tease them for it.

James Moriarty

If he believes the rumors or not, he will do what he can to go and meet this mini MC when Jeremy/George/Mikah/Edward get them out of 221B. His smile only growing as MC recognizes him and calls him by his name. He looks at this mini MC, trying to find the face of the MC he knows. He will offer a few dozen gifts, but depending on who MC is with he may hang around or leave to avoid being accused of harassing children.

Jack Stillman

Hangs back, whether or not he believes is beyond the point. If the child isn’t MC, they’d probably be scared of him. If the child is MC, they’d still probably be scared of him, and threatening children is not fun in his opinion.

Sebastian Moran

He will be tasked with watching over MC and their escort. Reporting anything that happens to James throughout the day, watching to make sure nothing happens to them.

The hardest part of this was the knowledge that Halloween isn’t as big of a thing in the UK as it is here in America. This last Halloween I went out reverse trick or treating dropping off candy to the kids I knew. I wanted to make it a little special for them, especially for my friend’s little girl who’s dad contracted Covid and couldn’t go out due to quarantine.

But, while it wouldn’t take place in london I think it would be adorable if MC and their parents were visiting relatives in the US in October and when MC woke up as a child their parents could take advantage of it and put them in a costume to really go out trick or treating. But if someone from the UK reads this maybe they can tell me how they celebrate Halloween where they live, if at all. As those I had spoken to basically told me it wasn’t really any different from any other day. Mostly young adults use it as an excuse to go drinking.

Magic 'n Science? Yes, good!

Hey there! The name’s “Nugget”!

I’m just a dork still itching for some Don’t Starve roleplays revolving around Maxwell x Wilson. Slowburns, enemies-to-lovers, AU’s? They’re all fine dishes and up for discussion!

That's the gist, so here are some other tidbits:

✦ I’m an FtM guy in my late 20’s, so please contact me only if you’re 18+ (20+ preferred).

✦ When it comes to RP, I’m a Multi-para | Literate | Third-person writer! I usually type around 500-2k words, but favor matching what’s received! The longer the post, the chance that there might be a slightly longer wait. Aside from taking time to check for mistakes and editing “ten-thousand times”, I enjoy gaming and doing other things on the side, so a pinch o’ patience might be needed! At the very least, one can expect a single RP reply per day. I’ll be sure to give a heads-up on any rare slow-downs and other concerns, and I hope for the same.

✦ Though it’s not a must, I’d dig some OOC chit-chat on the side! Screeching over the ships ‘n RP, or a conversation about other nonsense, it’ll be [Insert chef’s kiss here]! Even better if you’re up for gaming as well! Either way, some form of communication’s much appreciated! Whether we’ll be buddies-in-the-making, or simple RP partners only fixed on schedules, planning, and all that sort. Need!

✦ Interested in NSFW? Not interested in NSFW? I love me some spicy or dark scenes as much as the next guy, but they’re not a priority. Story before "sauce", fellows! I’m fine with fading to black, or excluding them completely too! Also, for anything dark ‘n crazy; I have my limits, so please ask and I’ll do the same!
