Dear friends and supporters, After more than a year of suffering and resilience amidst the harsh conditions of war, our home is in urgent need of partial reconstruction so we can regain stability and continue our lives. The damage to our home has greatly affected our daily lives, especially as I live with my 68-year-old mother, who suffers from chronic illnesses and requires special care in a safe and stable environment

palestinians who lived in north gaza are finally being allowed to return to their homes after over a year of relentless displacement. faten (@/familyfaten) is making the long trek back home to where the family lived in jabalia. but for faten, it's a complicated moment, since her future lay outside gaza even before the genocide.

before oct. 2023, faten had gotten engaged. her fiance lived outside of gaza and she was set to travel for their wedding. they've been separated for well over a year, facing nothing but uncertainty. she's endured uncountable losses, somehow found a way to push through every miserable moment with grace, found a way not to collapse under her frustration and her agony and despair. she survived a fucking genocide.

with the borders now open, faten wants nothing more than to finally be reunited with her husband-to-be. this can be a moment of joy, of celebration, of a new beginning that she so, so, SO deserves.

Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.

This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

Our Journey So Far When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Thanks to your incredible kindness, we’ve reached 19,800 out of 30,000. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.

Hello, I'm Wasim from Gaza, in Al-Mawasi specifically... My family and I were displaced from Rafah after hardship, bombing, displacement, and hunger.😭😔

Now we have been away from our city and our beautiful home for 9 months. We have lost our house that my father built stone by stone and he worked 24/7 to build this house. But the occupation destroyed it, and no house remained in my beautiful city remained intact.😭💔💔

We are now living in a tent or semi-tent, which does not protect us from the cold of winter or the rain. Our lives are very difficult.😔😭

Thanks to your donations, we have been able to buy food and flour, and now I am asking you for help to buy a tent that will protect us from the cold of winter. We do not know what it means to sleep because of the extreme cold.🥶

This is the story of Ahed Al-Anqar, his wife Maisoon, and their three young daughters: Fatima, Iman, and Noor, who is not yet 2 years old. Ahed’s entire apartment, everything he worked hard to provide for his family, was completely demolished in the war. There is nothing for them to return to. A new life is indeed possible for them, but it is not in Gaza.

The struggle to secure the basics of life has become my everyday reality, but I still hold onto hope for a brighter tomorrow.
