the only time i think i ever visited a retirement home was for girl scouts (i am not a girl though just to be clear). although i think i also went to one once up in new york when i was visiting family but i can't remember that very well. i do agree though, i like old people a lot. my maternal grandmother came to live with us for a bit before she passed away (because hospice) and i loved having her around. am definitely not a fan of the reason she had to be here though

Yeah, that's my self insert. I am quite short... (Five feet... Or so), and I can't help imagine Jack like... Nine feet ten inches tall. Oh, that makes me live...

Another self insert...

I need to talk about this. Being so brief:

She's short, quite short. She's an outlaw, part of a group that arrived in the city after some fights with another criminal group. It was coincidence. She knew that Jack Horner was in that city, and his influences. She stole some magical items from her superior, a corrupt lieutenant, to give to Jack in exchange for his political help.

Sure she liked him, but Jack didn't care. At least until Jack tried to try on the red shoes she had brought for him to one of her occasional business meetings. So they were both taken to a fantasy world, in which they followed a yellow path until they found a strange town. The rest is history.

They talked, they spent days together in a guest cabin, they lived with the people of the town, they ate together, they cooked together. And they, eventually, fell in love (Obviously)

Over time, a witch wanted to take over the red shoes. They fled to the wizard's castle, and stayed in a town near that castle. There they investigated how to end the witch. And upon entering the castle, the witch set several traps for them that, in essence, separated them. With a couple of tests I'll elaborate on later, they tested themselves and defeated the witch. They returned home, after two years, and it was as if in their reality not a day had passed.

The sad ending is to be expected...

Funny fact. In my notebook, both have their mouths at the same height. This is how they touch each other when I close the notebook. Oh my goodness, in so fuccccking cringe.
