i think the number of fully anti incest shippers in the locked tomb fandom is funny considering the canon incest is like, barely under the surface. so y’all love fucked up ships as long as they doesn’t cross that line slighly more obviously?

corona borealis, lfx
✧ genre/tw rambly soul-crushing fluff, one sweet kiss!!, lovely as a pet-name, felix being an undeniably sweet bf like always and hearing a bedtime story <3 , largely unedited.
✧ w/c 952 <3
✧ a/n definitely not brought on by asea felix are you kidding... he's so lovely i just had to dawdle on about it somewhere so here you go! also, the thought of telling lix a bedtime story makes me wanna cry i hope i'm not alone. mwah!!
Tumblr media
His arm is hot around you, keeping you safe from the scary silhouettes the shadows bring, and the night is breathing. A group of you had come to this little campground for a night away from the city lights, and while the two of you are alone you can still hear the rest of the boy’s nighttime sounds mixing in with crickets and critters.
Your boyfriend stands beside you, listening intently as you tell him stories of the stars. Usually, these tales come from the comfort of your bed–rustling under covers and speaking into his mouth, sharing breath and love until you fall asleep, tracing false shapes in the plastic stars adorning your ceiling. But tonight, under the cover of a too cold darkness you tell him his bedtime stories beneath the sky.
His face is tilted up, looking to see where your fingers are pointing, and the soft glint in his midnight eyes makes you pause. You’ve never known someone who looked so alive, someone with a sun for a soul. Felix has the brightest smile you’ve ever seen, alight with joy and senseless mischief–eyes wide with wonder at the constellations rising above him.
Looking at him is dizzying; that feeling when you put your arms out and spin so fast you fall, a carousel going so round and round. You feel like flying, rising up like the moment Icarus’ wings took him up and away.
Sometimes you wonder if it’s normal to feel like this… if everyone in love feels as though they are the creator, the inventor of such depraved desire and compassion for another. Surely, you must be the first–no one else had felt Felix’s fingertips on their skin or his lips sweetly drinking them in. How could someone say they’ve encountered a deeper love than this when your sweetheart is the embodiment of love, Venus as a boy.
He turns to you in your moment of hesitation, smiling at you with all the care in the world. He loves you endlessly, burns for you and the soft caress of your affection. You can tell he doesn’t know why you stopped speaking, but he’s happy just the same–sharing your space and time, living in this moment with you. He remembers the first time you told him a story, speaking the words softly, he thinks he fell in love right there.
“What’s that one?” he asks, catching your still raised hand in his own.
“Oh, it's a crown, see?” you can see his eyes tracing the points, finding the shape that connects the points together. “It’s Ariadne’s wedding tiara, she was a princess of Crete who helped Theseus slay her brother the Minotaur Asterion. After they escaped the labyrinth, the prince left her on the Island of Naxos where she was found by Dionysus,”
“He left her there?!” he gasps, your sweet boy forever confused by ill intentions, even in a story.
“Yeah, he’s so lame, right? Anyway, after the God finds her on his island they fall in love and eventually marry… the crown was her wedding present, and after she died Dionysus flung it into the sky to honor her.”
Felix is quiet for a long time after this, inhaling the story with all the deference you deserve. After every narrative he takes his time to think about how he feels about it: the first time you finished a movie with him and he was quiet for fifteen minutes before he told you he liked it, he is like that now. Quietly staring at the sky, not ignoring you for his hand still made its path up and down your arm and you know if you called his name he’d answer, but you don’t want to interrupt his silent seeking.
His life is noisy, spirited, and wonderful in all the ways a beautiful boy like him creates, your infatuation came in chaos–in mindless chatter and kitchen counter dance parties, but you fell in love in silence. In the moments when the world was quiet and all you could hear was his heartbeat, the drawling intake of his lungs filling and releasing. You adore his voice, but just existing with him, sharing the same air would be lovely enough for a lifetime.
Finally, after minutes of staring ahead, he speaks–softly but with no less intensity,
“If something were to happen to you I would make you into a constellation.”
His eyes, bright with longing stare into yours, and you know he’s not being funny. He means it with all of him, means it with every atom of his being.
Shocked and in love with him you laugh, bursting with fondness never hidden. “I love you too,” you say, for you know that's what he means. A love that spills from his veins whenever he thinks of you, so massive and consuming that the words aren’t enough. “I’d make a constellation for you too, it’d be the prettiest one in the whole sky.”
When he moves closer to you, you can feel the smile radiating on his shadowed face–sweeping his grin over the plane of your cheekbones. Scorching your skin where his lips touch, a traveling forest fire of kisses. When his journey ends, sliding his mouth over yours the flames grow, getting taller and taller as his caress goes deeper.
The night is chilly, but there is no need for a coat when his arms are around you–sweeping you into his embrace with only the stars to watch.
“Lets go to bed, lovely” he muttered, breathing through open-mouthed kisses and shared smiles. Leading you to where your tent lies, to where stories and sleep await you–love and life and dreams filled with him, your constellation of a boy.

It’s impossible to capture or describe what totality feels like. It becomes viscerally clear why some ancient civilizations feared eclipses, saw them as anger from the gods. Even well knowing the science behind it, TEACHING it, you get overtaken by the Wrongness of it all. The minutes before and after totality, when the sun still shines but the light hitting the ground dims drastically all around you; the air changes, the temperature lowers, a cool breeze kicks up; the geese start to squawk and fly, the crickets start their chirping. And when the sky has reached a haunting midday sunset all around you, you see the sun, this thing that is so reliable and predictable and constant, this thing that gives us life, disappear and transform into a pitch black disk before your eyes. The absence of its light and the bright spray of the corona behind the moon looks like someone tacked an odd lamp on a wall. It doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t look like it can be real. I’ve seen it twice now and it still seems so impossible.
I can’t believe how different this one felt from 2017. The bigger shadow allowed nearly two more minutes of totality, and I felt every second of those four minutes. It was a noticeable full sensory experience - I felt the cooling air so much more, we sat in the dim pre-totality twilight for so much longer, the geese and the crickets warned us early. When totality hit we got to relish in it. I’m glad I snapped a few hasty photos but mostly I just couldn’t tear my eyes away. I didn’t want to blink. The corona was sprawling, and those bright pink solar prominences took my breath away. There is nothing that compares to that sight. Nothing comes close. I’m so grateful to have gotten to see this. I’m so lucky.
But my favorite part by far is seeing so many people I love getting to see it too. I love sharing this. I want to see everyone’s pictures and videos!!!! We really saw this impossible thing!!!

Holy Cow! We are super lucky we got to see the Total Eclipse despite it being overcast! And we had the very rare opportunity to see the eclipsed sun through the cloud cover without having to use our glasses!! I know my eyes are damaged. Let me live this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity OKAY.
We were unable to see the corona of the total eclipse, but it got NIGHT-TIME dark. The evening and morning birds were chirping away, before and after the eclipse. And crickets started chirping like it was night!!! It was spectacular! 🌔☀️🌎🌕🌑🌫️💫

@ianthesmells in her endless talent and grace, drew Anubis from "Coffee & Scones" universe. So of course I had to write a drabble about it. --
There was a point of exhaustion when the letters on the Harrow’s laptop screen were an artistic display of unrecognizable forms and shapes. As her power point deck shimmered while performing aquatic dances instead of the data summary Harrow needed, she called it a night. Her phone blinked on the hotel’s nightstand, silent and ignored. Dulcinea had insisted on going to the bars with the other grad students, and she undoubtedly was sending Harrow unimportant photos to document the night’s proclivities. Harrow was not interested.
There was a lack of honor in the inebriation that Harrow despised.
Besides, she was the last presenter of the conference, and breakfast started at 7am sharp. There was no time for banal things such as “networking”.
She picked her phone to text Ianthe—her girlfriend was extremely efficient in calming Harrow’s nerves for her presentation—but frowned at the multiple pings from her plethora of diverse messaging apps; that is, all two of them.
She opened Instagram with a trembling finger.
Her first reaction wasn’t shock, since it took a good ten seconds for Harrow to recognize Anubis. Once she did, her cheeks burned with a drizzling mix of anger and amusement.
Much like his owner, Anubis was petite, a once tiny little black runt that grew into a tiny black demon. He had a history of fighting against collars, so Harrow never attempted to indulge herself by forcing him into funny little blankets shaped like denim jackets.
That was why, when she finally recognized her cat in a sheep costume framed by Coronabeth’s cleavage, she squeaked in surprise. To her horror, the little cricket looked adorable, and Corona’s massive volleyball fans had already adopted him as a mascot, with thousands of notifications in the photo. There was also a video of Anubis prancing around in the immaculate sheep uniform, his ears poking from the furry headset like sharp rocks on a field of camellias. Corona took the stage presenting the adorable cat, but Harrow knew better. She knew who was recording it, who had probably ordered the costume, and who had tagged Harrow in the viral videos.
“Hi, love. How’s the conference?” Ianthe picked up on the second ring. Harrow heard Corona’s voice in the background, and a suspicious purr that meant Anubis was around and enjoying the attention overflow.
“That’s animal abuse.”
“What do you mean?”
Harrow heard the tilt in Ianthe’s voice. She knew exactly what Harrow meant, and she loved it.
“I left him with you for forty-eight hours and you already defamed him.”
“Harry,” Ianthe started, and Anubis meowed in the background, followed by Corona’s squeak. “The poor thing was cold, and Corona happened to snap a picture. He’s enjoying fame.”
“Leave him alone.”
“He already has his own TikTok and Instagram account.” At least there was a tinge of apology in Ianthe’s tone.
“Ianthe,” Harrow warned.
“Corona and Camilla will run it. And we can have more privacy at your place while they petsit him.”
“My place is fine!”
“Tell that to Anubis when he’s staring me down while I strap—”
Harrow hung up.
A minute later, Ianthe called. Harrow picked up after the third call.
“He’s okay, I promise,” Ianthe said as a greeting, and the background noise diminished. Harrow imagined Ianthe hiding from her sister’s enthusiasm in her room. “You know I’d never let anything bad happen to him.”
“I just want to be informed before I receive hundreds of follow requests because my cat looked adorable in a sheep costume.”
“Aww, so you also think he’s adorable?”
“You’re deflecting.” Harrow closed her eyes, letting the exhaustion from the day wash over her. “I miss you,” she whispered.
“I miss you too. You’ll do fine tomorrow. I promise.”
There was something visceral in believing a promise from Ianthe Tridentarius’ mouth. A chill ran down her vertebrae.
“Also, what are you wearing?”
She might as well use the energy into something good.

The injured mouse almost collapsed as Sora caught him in his waiting arms examined the wounds " gosh that giant wolf bit you there" Riku then noticed a red patch on the bitten right hand realized it was blood the werewolf somehow had sinked it's fangs through the glove and penetrat the skin exclaimed in shock " oh my gosh you're bitten " Aqua began to pondering how would a werewolf could be strong to knock Riku and others except for King Mickey question to the wounded mouse " what was that ,no ordinary wolf could have a strength to knock us down" Mickey answers the master's question despite being exhausted " I don't think that's an ordinary wolf that's a werewolf " shocking Sora and the others upon hearing the king said werewolf they put out the campfire so it wouldn't spread and left to the mysterious tower many minutes later Mickey woke up in the room where Sora got his new clothes on his second journey before his original human form was destroyed by Maleficent the mouse slowly turns his head to see his wife Queen Minnie she felt concerned when she heard about her husband been bitten she had stayed by his side until he's awake

I did take one more picture at Friedrich but I got distracted before I sat down to post it on-site and then we went home and now I can't find my phone. Either the fairies took it or I dropped it in the parking lot. I hope it's the fairies 'cause they give things back. Eventually.
Anyway, the cloud cover broke a teeny tiny bit so my friend glimpsed the corona, but I couldn't see a thing. It got very dark and still and the air-pressure thing happened in both our ears. My friend said she heard crickets, but all I heard was tinnitus. The temperature dropped noticeably. Someone was letting off fireworks. And then, with astonishing rapidity, at least twice as fast as it had come on, the darkness went away.
I'll try again in 2045. I'll only be in my 80s.
As a consolation, I'll always have the eclipse that happened when we were stationed in Maryland - probably the March 7, 1970 total eclipse, since we were only in Maryland for a year and a half, but I don't actually remember this one going to totality. It was a big enough deal that all the classes in our elementary school learned to make the little pinhole devices to catch the reflection.
My brother and I both had one but my little sister didn't, because she was sick as a dog with (I kid you not but this is the kind of detail I might have gotten confused) yellow fever. She was sacked out on the couch while my brother and I went out and absolutely failed to get anything in our little devices, so we got frustrated and cold and went in.
The couch was under one of those big picture windows mid-century builders loved so much, and Mom had closed the drapes. But there was a little chink between them, and there, printed in sunlight on the skin of my sister's leg, we saw the eclipse, or what remained of it, perfectly.
This is one of two stories she stars in which my sister doesn't remember at all, which is a real shame.

La Raccontadina art by_nethervision_ ************************ Love doesn't force itself, it blooms. It colors itself, it stretches, it opens and then closes, it waits for the morning, it gets wet and dries. Sometimes it looks at the sky, other times at the ground, it bends, it falls, it loses pieces, petals and seeds. It moves. It is reborn. It puts down roots, it makes a ladder for ants, a trampoline for crickets, an umbrella for ladybugs, a snow guard for leaves, a tickle for the wind, it freezes and melts, it wobbles, it resists and collapses. Love doesn't force itself, it blooms. It makes the landscape beautiful, it perfumes, it dries, it makes a den for fairies and an airport for wasps, bees, bumblebees and hornets, a pedestal for butterflies, a crown for the lawn. It exists, it gives birth, it multiplies, it dies and gets up again, it becomes small and then medium again and then large again. It transforms. Love does and makes everything happen, but it doesn't force itself and doesn't force itself: it surfaces and blooms. La Raccontadina art by_nethervision_

@sunsdrop has made a contract.          —         ★
Tumblr media
Tonight, on a particularly quiet night, is when a new light takes the the stage across the sky. There are no softly glowing lantern nights filling the bleak night sky tonight. Only a single streak of purple light soars across the night sky, mesmerizing everyone who witnesses the shooting star with a mix of unfathomable love and bittersweet longing. It moves slow, pulsing with shades of purple. The citizens of Corona Kingdom, for one splitting moment, think the purple light of the shooting star must be a symbolic scene of the future... Is it a sign that maybe, just maybe, their lost princess will finally appear?
The more hopeful folk that witness the strange star are filled with inspiration as the star's magic fills them. They begin working on their lanterns for their lost princess, hit with inspiration to really make the lanterns as captivating as the star. They bring their loved ones closer, sharing in the beauty of the purple star. They cannot explain why the star is such an unthinkable color, but they are positive that nothing is wrong. To them, the world is full of brand new surprises at every corner.
Not everyone who sees the blaze of the star are filled with love, however. Others, the ones with shards of negativity in their hearts, are filled with a deep despair. They clutch at their hearts, stabbed by the heartache. Longing glazes over their eyes as they drift to sleep. Something is wrong, so very wrong. But they cannot pinpoint the reason why. All they can do is blame the sight of the wicked shooting star.
Then, without warning, the star lands deep within the forest...
Time moves forward, uncaring and unfeeling.
Homura finally awakens within a semi-small crater in the middle of a dark clearing, though she initially mistakes it for a freshly dug grave. She hears the sound of rushing water and the chirping of crickets. She cannot see so well, she notices. It's the middle of the night. Staying true as her companion, the moonlight from above gives her enough light to distantly make out a looming structure. Though she couldn't make out the details, it looked like a tower—
Is that the Isolation Field? Panic grips at her chest at the same, heavy as the blade of a guillotine. It's anxiety, she registers. An image, a memory perhaps, of a flower-shaped tower begins to surface in her mind the longer she stares at the looming building. It is dark as night, shaped like a rose. The very top of the Isolation Field is a pitch-dark rose, blossoming. Confusion mingles with the dread in the pit of her stomach, but she still stares up at the tower.
Tumblr media
What is... But what is the Isolation Field? A jolt of pain pierces her head, instantly causing a sharp cry to leave her lips. It is both her prison and her grave, something in the back of her hazy mind answers back to her. Run, it urges her. But run from what?
Homura forces her body to move, though every muscle in her body is screaming in pain. She keeps moving until she rises back to her feet. She takes a step, but she soon stumbles back onto her knees. She is weak, she notices. Unable to ignore the pounding urge of anxiety, she forces herself to keep moving. She begins to crawl until she reaches out of the crater, noticing the damage of the clearing.
The rest of the forest is unarmed. The tower looms above her, imposing as a really tall figure. She sees a light in the distance, almost like the blaze of a torch. It looked like an hovering red eye as it moves in the darkness, threatening to come closer— They are always watching you. So many eyes are watching you, ready to begin their next wave of torture on your soul with no remorse. The thought invades her mind as she stares, cloaked by darkness.
Even if she is cloaked by the comfort of darkness, she cannot shake the spark of uneasiness from her weary mind. The sensation of being watched by a thousand floating eyes, red and emotionless, blooms within her mind. Get away, get away, get away— Yes, that's what she needs to do—
She pulls herself back to her feet, feeling as shaky as a fawn.
She takes hasty steps back and back until she slips away, fleeing from the damage of the crater. She keeps walking blindly in the forest, not caring if she made noise. Her long hair is caught by the forest as scratches bruise her exposed arms, nipping at her face. It's cold tonight, but she keeps moving. She looks back every now and then, hoping to evade the light. To avoid that cold, warmthless tower.
Shaped like a diamond, this purple gemstone on the ground catches her attention. It glows, but the more confusing part is how she feels something coming from it— She stares at it, transfixed enough to come to a total stop. The pulse of energy calls out to her. It's the most familiar feeling she has known. She doesn't know where she is, but the beautiful glow of the light still calls out to her. She doesn't feel familiar, she can barely remember who she is, but the glowing light feels like... hers.
Except it wasn't hers.
The diamond gemstone is attached to the tail of a black lizard, small and lithe. It stares at her with unblinking eyes. The eyes, she noticed with a mix of surprise, are actually gemstones. They match the color of gemstone hanging from its tail, smooth and lacking any sign of normal life. Its mouth, however, is frozen in a wide grin. A coiling tongue hangs out, black as the rest of its body.
In all honesty, Homura could easily mistaken it as some kind of toy... But, without warning, it lifts its head to look up her. Purple eyes stare back at her, glowing more faintly compared to the radiant gemstone.
It cocks its head to the side, though it doesn't make a single noise. She can barely see the details of the lizard's body in all the darkness. Homura takes a step forward, wise enough to be cautious... It doesn't move, standing its ground. No, it wasn't just brave. It looks a lot more relaxed, almost as if it recognized her.
She takes another step, raising her hand to grab it.
As soon as it notices her arm's movement is when the lizard mischievously begins to scamper away. It doesn't completely dart into the bushes, however. It shows off, racing up a tall tree until it looms above her on a tree branch. The tail sways coyly, almost as if taunting her to try to grab the gemstone now. For a moment, Homura only stares in shock. It doesn't take long until her shock begins to sour into frustration, perhaps a mix of humiliation.
They were alone, yes, but she did not appreciate being toyed with by some... some weird-looking lizard. Homura opens her mouth to finally speak, though she had no idea what what she would even say to the lizard.
A loud snap of a branch from her right side instantly brings her back to her surroundings. The lizard jumps down from its branch, landing effortlessly on her shoulder. She tries to grab it, but it has more quicker reflexes. It avoids her grasp, naturally. What she didn't expect is how it reaches up to curl against her ear. It feels slightly warm, but she doesn't think it actually has blood and organs.
At first, she thought it was going to harm her ear somehow— But all it does is hug around her ear, arranging itself neatly until it resembles an earring. To be more specific, an ear cuff. Suddenly, the lizard loses life as it begins to fit more snugly on her ear. The warmth is gone, replaced by the cold touch of a piece of jewelry. Homura reaches her hand to touch the lizard, but she is shocked to just feel the cold touch of a lizard-shaped jewelry. Her wandering hand feels strange engravings on its back, almost like the runes is some kind of name.
Move ahead, move ahead! A voice whispers into her ear, childlike. She swears she is losing it from the fall, perhaps maybe even damaged her head. Her body is already hurting, so she wouldn't be surprised if she is hallucinating.
A soul is near! So bright, so bright! Follow her, follow her!
Tumblr media
How can she even find someone when the eager whisper in her ear refuses to give her any form direction? But... She does feel a pull in the general direction, something like a tug in her body. It coursed through her body, almost as if she could sense the presence of someone else.
She stands there, still relieved the snap of a branch turned out to be only part of the wildlife. She wasn't sure what it was, but it encouraged her to move forward until she found herself stumbling onto a worn path. It was a road, she noticed. She kept falling down the road, trying to chase away the growing fatigue. She doesn't know how long she walks, but she comes to the edge of the forest.
A figure stood at the edge of the forest, carrying a lantern. She couldn't make out the details, but what she did notice is the very long length of her hair. It's dazzling under the moonlight, but Homura finds herself too worn out to examine the details. She slumps against a tree, using it for support. She wished she dressed more warmly to combat the night's chill.
❝ Who... Who are you? ❞ Homura mumbles out the question to the hazy silhouette, but she already knows the question is not for the stranger.
It's for herself.

Abundant adventures await you here in Swynlake! Tales of magic, friendship, and mystery. What dreams will you make come true?
Cheshire Fields (The Cheshire Cat, Alice In Wonderland) - You’re always smiling but is that always a good thing? One can never tell if it’s kindly or mischievous, or what secrets the town’s favorite invisible barista is hiding…
Cornelia Hale (Cornelia Hale, W.I.T.C.H.) - You asked to be exceptional, but not in this way! You only wanted to be a figure skater, twirling, leaping into the air to land impressively on one skate, that was what you trained for. Not to be some plant-magic freak! Ugh! You’re going to shake this stupid destiny one way or another!
Xīshuài Aoyun (Lucky Cricket, Mulan) - A gift shouldn’t be able to hurt you. You think about this a lot as your fairy gift of Luck seems to only put you in danger. Will you be safe in Swynlake, far from anybody who knows about your unwelcome gift?
Marin MacGill (The Magic Mirror, Snow White) - Your gift isn’t scary, honest! It’s not like you asked for it. And anyway, you just really want to help people, that’s all. All these secret, whispers, tidbits of information, they’ve got to be in your head for some good reason, right?
Jacques Crevette (Jacques, Finding Nemo) - Your gift is harmless but even so, you were not welcome back home. This is why you've come to Swynlake to well and truly share your gift with others-- and maybe more importantly, find out just how far it goes.
Rapunzel Corona (Rapunzel, Tangled) - Starry eyes, lantern lights, and…magic glowing hair? Stranger things did happen here in Swynlake. Maybe that’s good for you! You’ve run away from home, you’re hiding, could Swynlake be your chance to blend in while searching for the answers you crave? You do hope so.

Torneo 1906-1907 : Historia del Futbol en México
Tumblr media
Read the full article
