I'm over the moon that the tail end of this run of dates with my new project Nowhere Ensemble is coming to a close on my own home turf. For those of you who didn't see us when we were in Holyhead or Conwy, this is your last chance! Criccieth Castle

🌟You can find this print on my Etsy, link in my bio!🌟 This painting is of Criccieth Castle.

Most castles in North Wales were built by the English as places for the gentry to exist and potentially repress any rebellions from the local people. Criccieth is uniquely both Welsh and English, having been built by the Welsh Princes before being captured by King Edward 1 who altered existing structures and added new elements.

The castle was partially destroyed in the 15th century and now sits as a dramatic ruin against often moody skies. Though I was lucky to go on a day where the weather was kind⛅️
