P.S. In my opinion, if you remove the glowing and Spirit aspect, I think the costumes for Emil, Marta, Lloyd and Colette woukd make good 1-2 year Time Skip Costumes for them in a Tales of Symphonia 3 😊!

Cress Albane dressed as Future Trunks from Dragon Ball.

They both share a VA in Japanese, both are time travelers and share many personality traits. I think this would be a great match.

So I have been thinking about the original SNES designs of Tales of Phantasia. And got it into my head to try remaking them into the newer ones we have now.

To the left are the original battle sprites from Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2 and 3. The middle are my edits, last is the original SNES sprites. I would have liked to have used the Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X sprites, but couldn't find them. D: Oh well.

Mainly all I did were color swap and some edits to make him look more like the SNES version. It's not perfect(goodnes the sword. XO) but I like it overall.

There might have been a time when I thought Cress would never curse or make rude gestures but I was likely poisoned by the Quintessential Hero Cress propaganda machine that is the marketing for the Tales of series. Like idk if it's intentional that they make him seem so squeaky clean outside of his home game but I mean it'd be high key genius if it was. Just really committing to the bit so hard that even folks familiar with Cress from other Tales of titles just have no idea. Tee hee goody good boy makes silly puns and is kinda dumb tee hee hee.

...Actually I choose to accept this as fact now this now this is my core belief

This post was about Cress getting to say "fuck" but then it turned into "this boy is deeply maladjusted and mentally ill and yet he is forbidden from showing it with the only exception being when one takes on his role in his own story from his perspective"
