Care to answer 1994 (What do you find most striking about the band?) 2011 (Do you own any Daft Punk merch or memorabilia?) and 2019? (What Daft Punk song makes you smile?) Rock on pal!!

1994: Well before I really knew about them, what struck me was just how great their songs were. I heard Harder Better Faster Stronger and I was literally obsessed lol. Then later on when I read more about them, I thought it was awesome how they had these robot personas and just seemed to have so much fun making music and performing!  From their interviews they seem like cool guys too, very down to earth despite their fame. 

2011: I have one of their snowglobes, some cool fanart keychains and a poster I think? I wish I had more merch but it’s usually so expensive and sold out LOL.....I have a Tron Legacy shirt with them on it too, and I own it on dvd. 

2019: Television Rules the Nation / Crescendolls makes me smile SO MUCH, it’s such a perfect mashup and I love how you can hear the crowd going wild in the background. One More Time makes me smile a lot, it’s the perfect feel good song. And Lose Yourself to Dance (especially the mv) makes me smile because it’s such a chill fun song.

Thank you for adding what the questions are with it! ☺️ the most striking thing to me is how much they seem to genuinely care about each other. I love seeing pictures of them together where Thomas is resting his head on Guy-Man, or when they hug each other. It just seems like they’re genuine best friends and it’s a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of other music artists that just kinda deal with each other’s existence.

I don’t own any Daft Punk merch YET. I’m planning on buying some CDs of theirs soon, a couple of posters too 😂 I also would love to own a replica of both helmets at some point, I think the first one I buy will be one of Guy-Man’s. I also wanna draw a lot of fanart for them now that I have the proper technology to do so and maybe make some stickers or pins.

I know it’s typical, but Harder Better Faster Stronger makes me smile a lot. There’s something extremely nostalgic about the sounds in it, I could listen to it on repeat for several hours ❤️ but in terms of other songs I really enjoy, Crescendolls is super fun to dance to, Touch is a favorite because it is just so emotional and Paul Williams just sings so well in it, Motherboard is great because it very interestingly captures a new sort of futuristic sound while also being pleasantly calming, and Lose Yourself to Dance is just a BOP but the guitar work honestly just sounds so good. I’d say out of these though, Harder Better Faster Stronger and Touch are the two that really make me smile.
