In my opinion the sea is full of texture and energy and I wanted to try and depict this using a different medium. I used crepe paper to represent the water and newspaper to represent islands and I feel as if I captured the energy of the sea. I also incorporated paint to emphasize the aggression of the sea and to stay In the line of my 3 electives. I feel as though my vision worked especially on the second page where the paint was incorporated to the piece.

So I stayed up till late last night after work cause I had this inspiration to make big flowers!

I followed 2 tutorials from MASS Art and Craft & HGTV Handmade, on YouTube and learned how to make these two 🌹.

The pink one is from Crepe paper and the two-toned one is from Sugar paper.

I’m really happy with how they turned out, even though they certainly did take some time to make.

At the end I made a few butterflies 🦋 too, for decoration purposes 😁.

I took some photos of them in my studio and noticed how well they match with the colours of one of my paintings in the background and got this thought 💭 of combining abstract paintings🎨 and 3D objects such as Butterflies or Flowers!
