a not so small child wanders through hollowville. it isn’t her home, not this one, but it’s a fun place to be nonetheless.
he wears the face of this world. he doesn’t know how foolish that is.
That's not Ellery. That's the first thing that Alexis is sure of when she spots him. It might look like him and walk like him and try their best to pretend, but that's not him. That's something else wearing his face.
It startles her, but it doesn't scare her. Not the way some of them would be scared, anyway. She just sits for a while on the motel steps and takes a good hard look.

Alexis is bad at her job. Being hated by the whole town of Hollowville does not help with this. Her being a foreigner was bad enough, but being a foreigner that works for Usher made the task of getting information out of the ordinary townsfolk go from difficult to impossible.
So, in lieu of the town's actual mayor, she's decided to go for the next best thing.
She saunters up to Amelie, trying to act like she doesn't give a shit what it thinks. She very much gives a shit what it thinks.

It looks up at the approaching person with boredom. Sitting at the Dive and trying to mess with the people drinking there was getting stale. They should have chosen a different place to spend its time in,but the weather outside was too bad for that.

Hemlock Halloween Podcast Recommendations
"Creepshow" is a fantastic 1982 anthology horror film by George Romero and Stephen King. If you like its anthology style and coverage of different types of horror, you might be interested in the audio drama "Dark Sanctum."

It's time for Beginnings, the podcast where writer and performer Andy Beckerman talks to the comedians, writers, filmmakers and musicians he admires about their earliest creative experiences and the numerous ways in which a creative life can unfold.
On today's episode, I talk to musician John Grant. Originally from Buchanan, Michigan, John moved to Germany in 1988 to study German, but eventually moved back to the States, where he formed the band The Czars, who released seven albums in the 12 years they were together. After a four-year hiatus, John began making music again under his own name, and the five albums he's recorded since have garnered both critical praise and commercial success. In 2013, John moved to Iceland, where he works as a translator, and just last week Creep Show, John's collaboration with the synth group Wrangler, released their second album Yawning Abyss on Bella Union!

1970s Coney Island World in Wax Museum by Vinnie DeVille Via Flickr: Vintage image of the long-gone World in Wax (Musee) Museum in Coney Island. This place was a combination of a poor man’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not Wax Museum and a creep show. If you ever went in here - you know! As you can see this photo is from the late 1970s and unfortunately, by this time, the attraction had gotten very run down and was operating on fumes. This found photograph comes from the private collection of an unknown and/or unknowing art collector. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!

I know this might be really for some of you to hear but the best segments you remember from Tales From The Crypt (the adulterers buried in the sand, the OCD cockroach man, The Zombie Fathers Day, Stephen King growing moss, Old Chief Wood'nhead, The raft with the oil spill thing that dissolves people, the little boy with cartoon powers) are actually from either Creepshow or The Twilight Zone movie. Tales from the crypt actually was not very good and the stylized comic look you are remembering is from Creepshow. The only Tales From The Crypt episodes that you probably remember as Tales From The Crypt episodes are the people betting body parts on poker, the creepy psycho Santa, and Tim Curry in drag SA-ing a traveling salesmen.
