It had taken a couple of months, but the inspection had come back clean, and that had given the go-ahead for power and water to be turned on. It still needed furniture and all of those personal touches that made a house a home, but it was something Cree was looking forward to doing with Dimitri.

"When you look at me like that, it almost feels like you missed me but also that you kind of want to strangle me for not letting you see the cabin. Kind of makes me want to show you just so you'll stop giving me that look."

Creedance let his own eyes close, focusing on the feel of Dimitri's body pressed against his, the sounds of his breathing and heart beating, and the summery scent of his skin. For the first time in a long time, he felt safe and warm, like he was right where he needed to be. Strange that someone he had only just met could bring him such peace.

The last thing he remembered doing before drifting off himself was lift his head enough to press a soft kiss to the top of Dimitri's head, hoping he would see the other in his dreams.

There was zero complaint about the blanket, warmth always something Dimitri sought out. If it got too hot later he would deal with it but right now the heat radiating off of Cree and the gentle touch up and down his spine was sending him right to sleep. He didn't have the energy to say much else, the rise and fall of his body with each breath slowing. There had been no comfort like this in his life in so long that he dare not move and risk losing it. So falling asleep right there on Cree's chest was the only option.

"Better be," he managed in a soft mumble but that was the last out of Dimitri as he was lost for the night to his dreams.

The hand around his throat did little to stop the slow smirk that curled on his lips as he leaned in a little closer, eyes going a pale shade of yellow-tinged blue. "Someone's feeling a little bold today, hmmm?" Not that Cree minded as he settled a hand on his boyfriend's hip, waiting to see what he would do next.

Personal headcanon: She's a little dream baby. They didn't think it was possible since Dimitri had never done it before, but Morpheus thinks Uly was the catalyst that allowed her to happen.

Her brother is definitely her favorite person but she does wish he was a little less over protective of her.

Creedance already has an engagement ring. It's hidden in the treehouse in a small compartment that only he knows how to open as he's the only one who knows where it is and it's spelled.

While he feigns annoyance over Dimitri being friends with Bells, Cree honestly loves that his mom and boyfriend get along so well. It makes him feel validated in his desire to marry Dimitri.

Cree carved stars into the bedframe he made for the house. If you look closely, some of the stars have dates around them for events he finds important. The night they met, their first date, etc. He'll quietly add onto them as more dates become important.

It took a moment for the words to register, his heart trying to beat its way out of his chest while he simply stared at his boyfriend for maybe a few seconds too long. The words "thank gods" were all he could manage as he pulled Dimitri into a kiss, needing that extra time to let the words really sink in.

"I love you too," he murmured when the kiss broke. "So fucking much."

Cree was quick to pull him closer, deepening that kiss almost like he would drown if he didn't. He wanted that kiss to be memorable, to be a promise for the coming year that he would want Dimitri just as much throughout the entire year and beyond that.

Personal headcanon: Bells initially brought him home as a toddler with every intention of adopting him herself, but he was almost immediately attached to Creedance and Dimitri and it was decided that it was in his best interest to stay with them.
