This morning’s creative stretches were so much fun. Going back to a subject I’ve painted countless times but from a different way of rendering it. And I used hot pink! Good grief, when have I ever done that before? But oh, Hot Pink, I’ll be thinking about you all day. You brought a pizzazz to my picture I’ve never encountered before. DAY EIGHT ☝️ of #the100dayproject and today I’m sharpening up the contrast. _____________________ Each of these little 30 second timelapse snippets = 30 minutes of real life painting, so I’ve already clocked up a few hours just this first week, and it’s so much fun! This painting is intuitive so I’m not working towards a planned finish, I’m just seeing where the muse leads me over these 100 days. Right now I’m getting a feel for this kind of painting: painting on canvas and in this size is all new to me. My comfort zone is painting small, maybe 3-4 inches where as these canvases are 30 X 24 inches 😲 But how do you find out what you can do, if you don’t go explore? Exploring in art is safe, but it opens up possibilities of exploring in the mind.
