I feel like I know who people are talking about when they complain about there being a mod who's an asshole and I have to say that I don't really get it.

There's a few mods who are a bit more active than others- one of which is pretty close to a few members of the community. They're also one of the few mods that is willing to put their foot down and stop arguments from getting out of hand.

They're not a dick they're just willing to enforce the rules and some people take issue with them being stern about it.

Obviously I don't agree with everything they do, but like... they're not an asshole about it. They match the energy that's given to them and tell people to knock it off if they're being shitty. That's just being a mod 💀

Every day I get a little bit closer to wanting to do and host a massive tumblr art trade art blog event that's like Art Fight but for proshippers and is like CreativeClash but I'm the one in charge and doing it and hosting the fun team theme polls and stuff pensive 😔

I also get a little closer to wanting to host Proship roleplay blogs where people can look for RP partners

Chaotic Art Events (CAE for short) and CreativeClash both keep being suggested to us but have just as many if not more asks stating why people should NOT go to these alternatives.

Do your own research and decide for yourself!

Funny that someone is claiming people in the community are racist when there's literally indigenous people on the mod team and multiple active community members are Asian, on top of the fact that a lot of people ACTIVELY call out racist shit when it pops up. A lot of discussion is done in the discourse channel about Asian focused racism in anti communities.

Also half the active community members are trans femm??? People fr just pull anything out of their ass these days. Would LOVE a single example of racist shit posted in CC. Just a single example. Jfc.

Y'all forget that there's a few hundred community members. Like I'm sorry you got ignored once or twice, but personally I'd rather be ignored than people be forced to interact with shit they're not interested in and getting fake interest. Now THAT'S shitty.

Once again if you feel like there are issues you can bring them up in a ticket or you can ✨Leave✨.

Way I see it, it's good to have multiple websites dedicated to different things (try to do it all, and you end up with an overloaded system that does a lot of things sub-optimally and nothing well). What we're in need of are more profic-owned websites to replace what we have.

We have AO3 for fic (as well as Squidgeworld for backup!), and it's great. Dreamwidth is a fantastic journaling/blogging platform (it's a clone of LJ, iirc). CreativeClash is a profic-owned alternative to ArtFight.

Aethy exists as an alternative to Twitter. It is owned by only one person however, so if it became mainstream it may or may not be able to keep up with the traffic, but in the meantime it seems to suffice. (Baraag does also exist, but if you're like me and lolisho isn't really your cup, the amount of lolisho can be overwhelming + your non-lolisho content is unlikely to get any meaningful amount of attention from the community.)

We desperately need our own art gallery website to replace dA and FF. We need our own forums. We need a profic-owned version of Toyhou.se. We need a proper profic Tumblr alternative (Pillowfort tried, but ultimately they are not comfortable with allowing everything; Cohost also caved to antis; neither of these sites offer the same level of blog customization as Tumblr)

If AO3 let us have a diary/blog page I would literally not post anywhere else or use any other website on the internet.

Some really inconsistent refs since I hope to join creativeclash this year. I might not be able to get a lot done, but at least Team Chaos might have their pick of my OCs. Still working slowly on commissions, but I don't recommend asking for new ones at this time, sorry!
