Creative Partition Design Ideas for 2023 | VMS Trade Link
Tumblr media
Would you like to transform the entire look of your rooms and have a bit of privacy and a feeling that you have a place you can call your own?Ā Unique partition designsĀ can help you achieve that.
Room dividers, however, are more than just functional, as they can add texture, dimension and colour to your space. These wall partition ideas listed below are just what your home needs, regardless of whether you want privacy, a smart hall partition, aesthetic individuality, or a small hall partition.
* Folding partition screens.
Folding screens are a main and essential part of AsianĀ interior partition designs; they are lightweight, simple, yet appealing. These are made of 4 or more opaque or transparent, hinged panels. You can use them as partitions in the kitchen to separate from the dining and living rooms.
* Curtain partitions.
Curtains are simpleĀ partition wall designsĀ for the living and dining rooms.Ā
Connect the curtain panels with rings or hooks to the rod suspended from the ceiling. For the best materials, use velvet for a more dramatic effect or gauze for its lightweight. You can keep it closed for privacy or open it for more space. Curtain partitions can separate your sleeping area if you're staying in a studio apartment.
* Sliding door partitions.
This sliding door partition and accordion doors are usually used in industrial or commercial environments such as conference rooms. They are suspended from a track overhead. There is no track on the floor to eliminate the risk of tripping.Ā
The best materials for this type of partition are vinyl, wood, aluminum, laminates, and acrylic. You can use it to separate your kitchen from the living and dining areas.
*Ā Wooden screen dividers.
These room divider ideas can be made out of pieces of wood. Construct the frame first, then join the plywood planks after painting them in your favourite colours. Hinge them together well enough to provide stability and a lovely appearance. They are ideal forĀ modern partition for living roomĀ as well as for the dining room.
*Ā Ā Glass partition walls.
Glass partitions are available in various forms, features and colours that suit several business and residential needs. They are made of non-load-bearing glass panels. They look elegant and provide ample light diffusion without taking up much space.Ā Ā
You can choose from decorative, lacquered, patterned, and other types of high-quality glass.
* Fixed partitions.
If you are a DIY type of homeowner and you have pieces of wooden boards in your shop, you can get someĀ wall partition ideasĀ to create wooden slats. They are a row of planks with a few inches gap. These are good modern partitions for the living room of Indian homes, as Indians love to incorporate wooden furniture into their interior design.
Whether creating private, cosy spaces or using your open floor plan in your home, using the right room dividers can make all the difference.

Because they are inherently exclusive in their conception of statehood and citizenship, all nation-states will contain minority populations which exist as an existential threat to the State's ideological roots and agreed upon mythology. Under the best of circumstances, the majority will handle this minority with condescending interest and concern; under the worst, shit will go to ethnic cleaning and/or genocide places very fucking fast. This is not something exclusive to the Third Reich, or Myanmar, or Turkey, or Indonesia, or Bhutan, or China etc; this is a problem at the very heart of the construct of the nation-state.
Israel, Palestine, Anti-Semitism, the Nation-State, and You
I'm going to try to turn my anger and frustration into action. I've abstained from making a post like this for a long time because I really don't enjoy posting or about or discussing this topic, but, we've reached a moment of such intense anti-Semitism that I think it's my duty, as a Holocaust historian, and as someone with an advanced degree in Modern Jewish History, to say something. I'm going to use bullet points.
- Jewish people in leftist and pro-Palestine spaces who inform others that their speech has anti-Semitic undertones aren't trying to silence you; they're asking you to please not make the space actively unsafe for them because they WANT to stay and do this work. Anti-Semitism is part of the intellectual heritage of the West, and all the places the West has colonized. It is part of the language, the speech, the literature, often in ways it's hard for non-Jews to grasp. When Jews hear it and see it, they're trying to educate you so these spaces can stay safe and accessible to them; please listen.
- The "Zionists" aren't getting celebrities who speak out against the IDF's war crimes in Gaza fired from projects because "they" control Hollywood and the media. Those celebrities were spewing anti-Semitism veiled as criticism of Israel, and it's absolutely just that they face consequences. I wish all public figures who spew bigoted bullshit faced consequences like these. Susan Sarandon, for example, said the following at a rally in New York: ā€œThere are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence.ā€
This isn't courageous pro-Palestinian speech. This is very very blatant anti-Semitic rhetoric, in which Jews are viewed as an internal enemy; a hive-mind inherently more loyal to each other than the state; and who must suffer collectively for any act perpetrated by any Jew.Ā Hitler talked like this. Henry Ford talked like this. The White Russians talked like this. Just because Susan Sarandon is too willfully ignorant to understand why what she said was deeply violent and anti-Semitic, doesn't mean that it wasn't anti-Semitic. To the contrary, these words do not simply condone violence against Jews, but incite it. That doesn't help Palestinians. To the contrary, it creates situations where Jews may feel that they have no other option but to....flee to Israel...as happened to much of Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Jewry during the second half of the twentieth century.
- Jews talking about the Holocaust, their historical experiences, and their intergenerational trauma is not political speech. It is not about Palestine, or Israel, until someone else decides to make it about Palestine, or Israel. Further, the realness of that trauma does not exist counter to the trauma experience by Palestinians. It does not cancel out the traumatic experiences of Palestinians, and vice versa. Both traumatic experiences simply exist. The Jew who barely survived Auschwitz and the death marches and made their way--sobbing and broken--to the Promised Land when they had nowhere else to go; and the Palestinian Arab, who spent centuries living on and cultivating that land, only to be violently expelled from their property and forced to live as a landless refugee within a State built on their ancestral land but not created for them, who now exist in silently damning photographs of Palestinian elders holding keys to properties which no longer exist...they are both real.
These experiences exist, and not in contradiction to each other. As educated, informed people, our place is not to fight over which trauma mattered more or was worse, or happened in the first place, but simply to accept that both experiences happened and were real. Are real. Very few things in this Conflict are easy or simple, and the only option for anyone who wants to move forward is to learn to hold those contradictions together in your head as equally true.
- All Israelis are as much a Netanyahu-loving Arab-hating group of nationals, as all U.S. Americans are a Trump-loving POC-hating group of nationals. A lot of Israelis are DEEPLY unhappy with the war, Netanyahu, and his handling of Palestinians, and have been for a VERY long time. Netanyahu has been openly engaging in criminal acts, and working to undermine Israel's democracy, for YEARS now. Further, Israel has a HUGE number of active political parties; at least 13 active right now, for a country with the population of ~9,813,920. It is a Parliamentary system, meaning that the party in charge is not the party which wins the majority of votes, but which wins the largest PROPORTION of votes. A majority of Israelis don't need to have voted for Netanyahu's party (Likud) for his party to have won the majority of seats in the Knesset.
Moreover, if all Israelis WERE just like that first line of this bullet point's first sentence, why should American Jews be held responsible for that? Why is this belief in Jews as a collective hive-mind still so prevalent?
- "None of this matters; all Jews should know better based on their historical experiences and any Jew who supports Israel is basically a Nazi." Yeah. A lot to unpack.
First of all, no one is born having been educated and and encouraged to engage in critical thought about their past(s). That's a choice. Jews are, before anything else, people, and they, like all people, must choose to grow, learn, and change. They, like you, can choose to learn from the past, or just sprint forward without critical thought. Like you. Like anyone. Like everyone.
Now, for the next part....non-Jews really like using Hitler/Third Reich/Holocaust comparisons in relation to Israel and Palestine. Let's break this down to what it actually is. Israel and Nazi Germany are both examples of a nation-state. They are also VERY FAR from the only examples of a nation-state. Indonesia is a nation-state (which is actively committing genocide in West Papua, and which actively committed genocide in East Timor). China (which is engaged in genocidal activity against its Uighur population) is/wants to be a nation state. Poland, Norway, Croatia, Serbia, Bhutan (which has been ethnically cleansing its Lhotshampa, or ethnic Nepali, minority since the 1980s), Myanmar (Rohingya genocide), Rwanda, Iran, Armenia, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkey; these are ALL nation-states.
The nation-state--a type of polity which exists for a singular ethno-national group based on the understanding that that ethno-national group has long term historical roots in that particular geographic area--is an inherently exclusive type of political organization, and very much a product of modernity. This is not something exclusive to the Third Reich, or Myanmar, or Turkey, or Indonesia, or Bhutan, or China, etc; this is a problem at the very heart of the construct of the nation-state. All nation-states.
The fact that a certain portion of critics of Israel choose specifically Nazi Germany and the Holocaust as comparisons for Israeli policy towards Palestine again and again and again says, to me, that this is a person who a. knows that invoking that comparison will deeply disturb all Jews around; and b. will use that Jewish distress as "proof" that "all Jews" are evil Zionists who hate Palestine and use Holocaust memory as a tool of ideological violence.
It is transparent, ignorant, and offensive.
LIST OVER
If you are angry or defensive or wanting to unfollow me or respond with righteous indignation after reading this, it may be because you are an anti-Semite, and are suffering from cognitive dissonance based on the fact that you believe that you are a good person with no bigoted beliefs. The good news, is that you can use your negative emotions to learn, and grow a more complex understanding of all the contradictory truths at the heart of all this. I would love to be able to HELP you learn. This blog is a space I hope is open and welcome for everyone, Jewish, Palestinian, and otherwise, because everyone deserves access to history, and an understanding of how history works. This is not a space, however, which will ever strive to make anti-Semites feel good about themselves, or their beliefs.
If you're mad because you think material contained in this post makes me a "self-hating Jew," let's talk offline, starting with your grandparents and Hebrew School teachers.

Sooo... can MASH teach, like, any actual historical facts about the Korean War? Offer a springboard, at least?
I mean, it does. Obviously there are creative liberties taken and it's fairly focused on certain narrow aspects of the war, but it was a very well-researched show. Three of the producers went to Korea on a research trip, they conducted hours worth of interviews with primary sources and had the transcripts available as a reference for writing. MASH is probably more responsible for Americans knowing the Korean War happened than anything else, although I say this with the full recognition that the bar is quite literally in hell.
MASH was, for me personally, a springboard into being interested in the Korean War and learning more historical facts so I can say with certainty that it does function that way.
You absolutely can and should criticize MASH for its American perspective and blindspots. Of course it's inherently flawed, it's an American narrative and focused on the suffering of Americans in the Korean War which, while real, pales compared to the suffering of Koreans (and I'm including the north and the south, my understanding is they tend to think of themselves as simply Koreans since the partition was not their idea). I am actually chomping at the bit to read a thesis about this topic that pulls no punches.
But for all its flaws MASH very clearly took the position that what the United States did in Korea as wrong and that what it was doing in Vietnam when the show started was wrong too, which was significantly more than most mainstream American programming was willing to do at the time.
I know some people, like me, got interested in the Korean War after watching MASH and decided to learn more. I wish more people did! But there really isn't much you can do about the American television audience being dumb and incurious.

Pope drunkenly and half in Spanish dishing about how he just can't get his damn mind off reader cause goddamn. that's all. creative freedom else wise.
The Truth Comes Out
Santiago "Pope" Garcia X gn!Reader
Summary: Santiago has some things to say about you while drunk to his friends. Hopefully you don't overhear!
Tags/Warnings: SFW, fluff,
Word Count: 326
Santi's had far too much to drink. He's sitting outside around the fire with his friends, and he won't shut up about you.
"I just...I like them so much!" Santi said, standing up like he's on a stage in front of the other three of his friends.
"Do you have any idea how loud you are right now?" Frankie said in a hushed tone, trying to get his friend to sit back down, but Santi pulled his arm away and continued talking loudly about you.
"I just wanna grab them and kiss their stupid mouth. They talk so much, and I want to hear what they have to say, I really do, but I just can't stop looking at their mouth." He stumbled, Benny caught his arm.
"Come on Pope, have a seat man." He urged, laughing a little at Santi's antics.
This time Santi did sit down. He sighed heavily and took another swig of his beer before looking over at Frankie.
"Ok then pendejo, why haven't you done anything about it then?" Frankie asks, drinking from his own bottle.
Santi shrugged, "they don't want me like that."
Santiago Garcia was smart, strong, and quick-witted, but in that moment, he was an idiot. He didn't know you were standing on the other side of the partition on the patio. You were listening, feeling the heat rising to your cheeks. Santi wants to...kiss me?
"But have you seen their ass? Oh my...it's so-"
"Santiago!" You said finally, cutting him off before he could say anything to embarrass himself further.
He turned, face full of surprise, yet somehow his eyes were still hooded from his drunken state. He pressed his lips together tightly, realizing you'd walked in at just the right wrong time. Your arms were crossed over your chest.
"I think we should chat." You gave him a playful smirk, to which he gulped, not knowing what was in store for him next.

hi, i visited your dream town!!! it's so cute, i actually wanted to ask if you had any tips for designing rooms and shops because i love the cluttered look too but have a hard time balancing both clutter and function if that makes sense! šŸ’Œ
YAY i'm so glad someone has actually visited! ā˜ŗļø i think my biggest tips would be to draft things in room designer so you can play with a lot of different layouts without having to collect/craft furniture, be creative about the kinds of partitions you use, and prioritize creating at least 1 walkable path through the whole room (or more, if that's what you want)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here's an example, i really wanted to make this small room look like a full sento complete with a reception area, and a closed off changing area and bath area while still making it possible to walk through the whole build. using the simple panels as room partitions gives a little more space for the furniture needed for a bath area, using the closed off bathroom & changing room furniture pieces communicates the idea using minimal space, & using some hanging norens & signs helps somewhat close the space off without using the big partition walls. using accent walls, rugs, and custom flooring can help separate the space without sacrificing tile space!

The way I, and i think lots of others, would devour your Hozier essay like please spare us some crumbs i beg (also Vinh my beloved......when I say that song choice has ruined me.. your mind thank you)
hahaha okay this been so hotly requested but i am incapable of coherent thoughts so please enjoy these rambling thoughts that i jotted down in the notes app while on the bus!
i feel like there is more to be said but also bus journeys are finite so i'm just doing what i can with the time i have lol. what are your thoughts??? please share with the class i Know you have opinions and i wanna hear em!
adegoke: movement
so adegoke's character playlist actually has a different hozier song on it (from eden) which i always imagined to be more from MC's perspective.Ā
for adegoke, i love the idea of romance like the push and pull of the ocean currents, waves meeting and breaking, a rhythm. and movement just gives me that, i guess! adegoke is also a deeply creative person and movement really gives the vibe of the lover as an inspiration, a muse, which i think would be something that he would totally relate to. as a writer, love is at the core of his work - even when it isn't the subject it is what he finds grounding.Ā
adegoke also loves to dance (and is an excellent dancer) so that particular expression feels so appropriate.Ā
arthur: angel of small death and the codeine sceneĀ
this one is quite literal, i guess - arthur is a mean little weasel and it can be a challenge to find the sweetness in him. i think arthur defaults to an "i can make them worse" approach to romance which i think this sort of speaks to.
also his family are terrible and he often feels like a bit of a stray, i think.Ā
atticus: NFWMB
this one has been pulled straight from his character playlist because its just So ???????? musically it just reminds me of him but i know nothing about music so i have no idea how to articulate it - the sort of unassuming and almost casual vibe contrasted with the utter devotion in the lyrics. the emotional intensity comes from the lack of fanfare, you know?
also like. atticus loves a hair pull, sort of sexy possessive vibes and a rhetorical question so the "ain't you my baby" really hits on that level as well lmaoooĀ
avery: it will come back
this is another one that is already on avery's character playlist hahaha what can i say i'm a hozier bitch!
this choice is really about avery's complicated relationship with softness and intimacy, especially in a romance with MC which is Forbidden when she places such an emphasis on her professionalism. the way that she partitions different parts of her life is something of a defense for her after her difficult experiences in medicine - she's learned the hard way, she knows better, and yet she just can't help herself. i always think of avery's romance as being like a dam bursting; there's nothing for a long time until a little crack forms and then the dam breaks and everything falls apart. once she has a taste she can't be satiated, which i think this song speaks to.Ā
charlie - sunlight
he just can't keep away, even knowing how totally disastrous it will probably be for him, but he continues on gladly because he thinks that being that close to the sun will feel worth it even after it's burned him. he's 'death trap clad happily'.Ā
ellis - almost (sweet music)Ā
i did a deep dive into ellis' who playlist on patreon way back when and (surprise surprise) this was one of the songs that features on their playlist. this was actually one that i didn't say too much about because its just a bop, you know??? there's the lyrics about their foolish heart, but otherwise this song just screams ellis at me and i never really know why its just a warm fuzzy good vibe and that's them all over.Ā
florrie - take me to churchĀ
a song thats an endictment of catholicism And fucking???? all the ingredients to make up a solid florrie song. there are a few lines that give me big florrie energy (she's the giggle at the funeral / knows everybody's disapproval / my lover's the sunlight / get something shiny) but in general i imagine florrie would fare well being worshipped, i think that's a great dynamic for her, so this is reflective of that.Ā
griffin - someone newĀ
i don't think this one really needs much explanation - griffin falls fast and hard and often. he's my romeo, and every bit as naive.
beyond that, i do think that griff is someone who doesn't believe there's a Right Way to go about things and he's quite happy to muddle through life and always seems to land on his feet - a great person to help someone really uptight unwind hahahaĀ
imogen - my love will never dieĀ
of all the characters, imogen is the one who is most likely to get on her knees and beg someone to love her.Ā
also she loves flowers šŸ’Ā
nyra - to be aloneĀ
this one is also pretty literal lmao i am many things but i am Not a deep thinker. she doesn't love crowds, and i think the thing that nyra would value most in a partner is having someone that she can be alone with, if that makes sense? one of those special people that you can hang out with and still have the regenerative effect of alone time.Ā
when we meet nyra in body count she's in the midst of a really hard time in her life - we're at a real low point for her. she doesn't really feel like a person, she feels like a zombie dragging herself from one day to the next. she needs to work through that on her own (falling in love doesn't Magically Fix People), but i think that her relationship with MC would give her a few little sparking reminders to help guide her on her way.Ā
rowan - jackie and wilsonĀ
again soz this is on her character playlist hahaha! this is an absolute rowan anthem for me - she is my roman candle of the wild. i mean obviously this song is so fun and that is Very Rowan, but the "better yet, she wouldn't care" particularly speaks to me. rowan is very much someone who can meet people where they're at with grace and understanding and help to build them up.Ā
syd - work songĀ
syd was the hardest person to match a song with, weirdly, but it was the second verse that really cinched it (and I was burnin' up a fever / i didn't care much how long i lived / but i swear i thought i dreamed her / she never asked me once about the wrong i did). syd is a hard person to Date because they are a fuck up! they don't always get things right or know the right things to say or make the right gesture. that said, if someone can work through the initial challenges with them, they would be rewarded with endless devotion (albeit expressed in their own funny little way).Ā
vinh - in a weekĀ
lying down and dying together in a field to be eaten by animals is peak romance to vinh lmao. in general, i think once they find Their Person it will be someone that they can feel at home and happy with regardless of the situation, and there isn't much that they wouldn't be willing to endure as long as they had that.Ā

Note
Ok so this is less of a request and more of a thought to consider. It bothers me that Danse doesnā€™t really comment on vertibirds going down/crashing/finding dead brotherhood in the commonwealth. It also bothers me that Hancock doesnā€™t really say much during the synth quest in Diamond City. Idk I feel like thereā€™s a lot of potential dialogue thatā€™s missing. Like Preston commenting on a settlement thatā€™s been ā€œimprovedā€ (hit all requirements for water, food and defense) should also be a thing.
do you have any ideas for potential dialogue thatā€™s missing from the game? Again, not a request so donā€™t feel like you need to write anything, but just a good for thought.
Titan quest!
I'm inspired by your non-request
What would improve Fallout at the level of dialogues? Yeah, I realize I can't put all I wanted because it would be monumental, and even if I wanted to make (somewhere) a monumental post, it would require a lot of effort to determine what could have been done for the companions and etcā€¦
Knowing that Fallout 4, which contains some of the most fascinating and colorful companionsĀ in the franchise,Ā has a major scenario gap, I wondered how to fill it, what struck me, and what was missingā€”and it's practically unlimited. Many authors have written fanfiction on dialogue-worthy situations.
Then, I drew a line of sorts
Thus, I suggest a conversation that would have suited each companions. Like the FEV request, this Titan Request requires partitioning to conquer. Like with theĀ FEV, I'll try theĀ unexpected too. You've already cited Hancock's silence on his brother, Danse when he witnesses Brotherhood forces being blasted out of the sky, and Preston's remark when he visits settlements, so I'll try to be creative elsewhere
Far Harbor remains delayed. In my Survival game, which I use to write fanfiction, I'm still waiting. Long Fellow isn't familiar enough to add
Here the part 1 (because tumblr didn't let me do more)
Tumblr media
Dogmeat - Elder Maxson - Gage
Dogmeat : He's a dog; he doesn't speak, and he doesn't judge. Without mentioning dialogue per se and despite the fact that he is more of anĀ anthologiesĀ than a companion, I've always believed he should have had his own quest. But I will not go there (sorry, lol, but time does not stretch to infinity, and if we do not wish to extend this topic to infinity, I must make a decision). Here, I will merely present a theory that has already appeared in one of my fanfictions.
"He was known as the Lone Wanderer. He, like Nora, came from a Vault, although he grew up in the shelter. He was motivated by the same desire to save everyone, which began with his father. And, like Nora, he had a dog."
MacCready's gaze shifts abruptly to the clinic. Dogmeat has been watching over the place since I returned his mistress. I'm not sure what Mac wasĀ staring at. He appears to have difficulties swallowing. The dog looks at him as if he understands somethingā€”whatever that is.
"Da... holy... aye!"
"What?"
"Are you kidding me? Dogmeat was the name of the Lone Wanderer's dog."
I paid closer attention to the dog. He yawns in our direction before lying down in the dry grass. I couldn't stop chuckling.
"How long ago was that?"
"Around the year 2277."
"So, it's possible."
The coincidences are striking, but occasionally happensĀ inexplicable. We look away from the dog, who appears to be uninterested in us.
"After all," I say, "the Sole Survivor and the Lone Wanderer both knew the Kid."
He gives me a puzzled look, then appears to comprehend.
"Is that me, the Kid?"
"That's what everyone refers to you as. Isn't it better than a mercenary or a gunner?"
"Not sure," he contends softly.
Elder Maxson : We all know what didnā€™t stand here. How could he accept we have settlements with ghouls and even synth. And just the fact he never says a word about the fact that Sole is the General of the Minutemen! And a Super-Mutant as companion! As I already do the Strong thing with Danse (not ready yet), I will just make something in the range of the dialogue of Preston when we want to join the Minutemen after Nuka-world.
"Paladin, you can retire. I desire a private conversation with the newest member."
After a final glimpse in Sole's direction, Danse walks away from them as they shrug their shoulders to indicate that they don't understand the situation anymoreĀ as he does. Maxson makes a sharp turn and gazes out the bay window of the deckĀ while facing the horizon.
"Before entering potentially perilous territory, I conducted investigation on the happenings in the area and what information was crucial. It is unacceptable from a military perspective to be oblivious to the terrain in front of you; therefore, I am aware of who you are and whom you are protecting.
"Who exactly am I?"
The elder confronts the knight by facing them directly and gazing them in the eyes.
"Minutemen's General. Having under their protection communities overwhelmed by ghouls."
"Sir, we are not discussing ferals; we are discussing citoyens of the Commā€”"
"Mutated abominations that will one day become monstrosities in their entirety."
Sole clenched theirĀ fists. They are able to accept a great deal from the Brotherhoods, and they are even able to share a portion of their vision, but in this case, it exceeds all reasonable expectations.
"You aren't allowed to bring your lethal arsenal onto our territory and tell us how to live our lives."
"I am capable of doing so, and I have to! You must recognize that those creatures pose a threat to the human race in order to safeguard yourselves."
"You must acknowledge that you don't possess the absolute truth, and that you cannot judge every person who walks the earth."
Maxson exhales a sigh and approaches them while maintaining an almost regretful expression.
"I comprehend what you are thinking; you believe I am moving into hazardous terrain and overstepping the line. I comprehend what you are telling toĀ yourself. Alternatively, this is the point I am attempting to convey. Humans have been toiling and giving it their all for the past two centuries in an effort to survive in an environment that has become increasingly hostile to their kind. Many individuals believe that the golden age of humanity has passed and that the time has come to recognize that other species have the right to share the world with us. There are even pro-Super-Mutant advocates. In the short time that I've been in command of my organization, I've encountered a wide variety of situations, the extent of which would surprise you. But if there is one fact that stands out above all others, it is the human race's constant decline. You use the term tolerance, whereas I prefer the term assimilation. Slowly but systematically, mutated creatures transform humans, many of whom are already so irradiated that they cannot prevent mutation. If we continue to disregard certain issues in the name of tolerance and redefining the human race, we will no longer have a human race to discuss. To put it simply, this is why we, the Brotherhoods, fight every day for the survival of the human race at any cost. We don't only make friends on our quest, but you have to understand that permitting ghouls to exist, no matter how friendlyĀ they can be, is a choice that puts the entire species at risk."
"You must realize that if you bring this kind of mentality with you, you will in fact start a full-scale war with the Commonwealth!"
"Am I to understand that you are unwilling to open your mind and comprehend what this is all about?"
"From what I gather, you are the one with a narrow perspective, and if you continue to be so insistent, I will be forced to resign from my current position with your organization."
Maxson maintains his composure for a moment while frowning, and he appears to be deeply troubled by what the person in front of him has just said. He makes a nagging sound and then dismissively elevates his hand.
"At this point, I don't believe I would get through without someone like you, as you seem to be such a vital asset. I have high expectations that you will be able to understand what I am attempting to convey to you during your service. Surely co-owning more healthy human beings will help you better understand our vision. If you do not, you will be forced to make a more definitive choice sooner or later. Dismiss!"
Gage (romanced) : Gage lacks a scene with Sole when Sole betrays the Nuka-World raiders. Gage says nothing about their love affair when the Open Season adventure begins. Itā€™s awfulā€”empty.
"Why? What's the point of biting the hand that feeds you? Why would you turn against those who have given you everything?"
"You knew from the start that my position was unenviable; you didn't want it yourself. I would have ended up on the table one day or another like you had fed me with Colter as my first meal."
Gage sighs and takes a few steps towards Sole.
"I was honest. I had complete faith in you and your ability. When I said we'd go far and conquer the Commonwealth together, I meant it. I wanted to give you everything in the world. I gave you my heart!"
Sole pauses and lowers their weapon.
"I didn't want that at all. There is yet hope. Porter, you're a wise man. We could leave together, and instead of plundering the Commonwealth, we can serve it. We may build up an enviable niche there and retire quietly when the time comes."
Gage slowly shakes his head, a small grin on his lips.
"Do you hear what you're saying? Put me to work for the Commonwealth? The Commonwealth should come to my aid! There is no such thing as retiring for those like us, Sole. The only time I'll see for you is when I take down your damned carcass and watch it rot in the Nuka-World sun."

Maximize Charm, Minimize Square Footage: Innovative Interior Design Ideas for Small Spaces in Noida.
Tumblr media
Living large in a small space might seem like an oxymoron, but with a dash of creativity and some clever interior design tricks, your Noida apartment can transform into an oasis of comfort and style. Here at MITS, we specialize in helping you unlock the full potential of your compact abode.
Embrace the Power of Multifunctional Furniture:
Gone are the days of bulky furniture hogging precious real estate. Invest in pieces that serve multiple purposes. Opt for a sofa bed that doubles as a guest room, a coffee table with hidden storage compartments, or a dining table with expandable leaves. Consider ottomans with built-in storage or nesting tables that tuck away neatly when not in use.
Lighten Up with Smart Space-Saving Techniques:
Mirror Magic: Strategically placed mirrors not only reflect light, making your space appear larger, but also create an illusion of depth. Place a large mirror opposite a window to bounce natural light throughout the room.
Folding Wonders: Folding furniture is a lifesaver for small spaces. Invest in a foldable dining table, a wall-mounted ironing board, or even a convertible desk that folds up when not in use.
Verticality is Your Friend: Utilize vertical space to maximize storage. Install floating shelves, bookcases that reach the ceiling, or hanging storage solutions to keep clutter off the floor.
Embrace the Power of Light:
Natural Light is King: Let the Noida sunshine work its magic! Keep windows free of clutter and consider translucent curtains that allow natural light to filter through.
Strategic Lighting: Employ layered lighting to create a sense of spaciousness. Opt for recessed lighting, sconces, and task lighting to illuminate specific areas without overwhelming the room. Consider warm white LED bulbs to create a cozy yet bright atmosphere.
Declutter and Create a Sense of Calm:
Less is More: Declutter ruthlessly! Donate items you no longer need and find clever storage solutions for the essentials. A cluttered space feels instantly smaller.
Soothing Color Palettes: Paint your walls in light, neutral colors. Whites, beiges, and light grays create a sense of airiness and spaciousness. Consider accent walls with calming colors like light blues or greens to add visual interest.
Open Up the Floor Plan:
Embrace Open Floor Plans: If possible, consider knocking down non-load-bearing walls to create a more open and airy feel. Partition spaces with room dividers, curtains, or strategically placed furniture to maintain a sense of separation without sacrificing flow.
Personalize Your Space:
Statement Pieces: Don't be afraid to incorporate a statement piece, like a bold rug or a piece of artwork, to add personality to your space. Just be mindful of the scale and ensure it doesn't overwhelm the room.
Greenery is Good: Plants not only add a touch of life to your space but also act as natural air purifiers. Opt for low-maintenance indoor plants that thrive in small spaces.
Find Inspiration in Noida:
Noida itself can be a source of inspiration. Visit local design stores, art galleries, or even traditional Indian markets to find unique pieces that reflect your personal style and add a touch of local flavor to your space.
Finding the Perfect Interior Design Help in Noida:
At MITS, we understand the challenges and joys of living in a compact space. Our team of experienced and creative interior designers in Noida is here to help you translate your vision into reality. Glass Printing: From Windows to WOW!
Glass used to be just for letting in light and keeping out the elements. But now, thanks to glass printing, it's become a canvas for amazing artwork and designs. This means your windows, walls, shower doors, and even backsplashes can be transformed into stunning masterpieces.
What is glass printing?
It's a special process that uses UV-curable inks to create durable, high-quality images directly on glass. These inks are super tough and won't fade or scratch easily, so your artwork will stay looking great for years to come.
Why is it so cool?
Endless possibilities: You can print on glass anything you can imagine on glass, from photorealistic landscapes to abstract patterns to personalized designs.
Bright and beautiful: The inks used in glass printing are super vibrant, so your colors will be nice and bold.
Durable and easy to clean: Because the inks are cured with UV light, they're bonded to the glass, making them resistant to scratches and water. Plus, glass is super easy to clean, so keeping your artwork looking fresh is a breeze.
Adds a touch of luxury: Printed glass can make any space feel more modern and upscale.
Where can you use it?
The possibilities are truly endless! Here are just a few ideas:
Shower doors: Imagine stepping into a rainforest every time you take a shower!
Kitchen backsplashes: Create a custom backsplash that matches your style or shows off your favorite food.
Walls: Turn any wall into a work of art.
Office partitions: Make your office space more inspiring and creative.
Signage: Create unique and eye-catching signs for your business.
Printing on Aluminum
Ready to get started?
If you're thinking about adding some printed glass to your home or business, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Find a reputable printer: Make sure you choose a printer that has experience with glass printing and uses high-quality inks.
Choose your design: What do you want to see on your glass? Get creative and have fun!
Get a quote: Once you know what you want, get a quote from the printer to make sure it fits your budget.
With a little planning, you can add a touch of magic to your space with glass printing. So go ahead, get creative and let your imagination run wild!

The weekend Project - Ch 3
Chapter 1 | Ch 2 | Ch 3 | Ch 4 | Ch 5 | Ch 6 | Ch 7 __________________________________________
Summary: At school, Marinette has no friends in her class other than Alya. With the idea of making students interact more and out of their usual groups of friends, Ms. Bustier assigns her students to a school project that requires spending a weekend with another student of her choice. What Marinette didnā€™t know was how this project with her partner Juleka was going to change her life.
__________________________________

__________________________________ Chapter 3:Ā Weekend at the Couffaine's (1)
When Alya had told her about the boat, she hadn't completely believed her. Now that she was in front of the Liberty, she had to rub her eyes to confirm they weren't deceiving her.
Juleka really lived on a boat! So unexpected!
It was Friday evening and she had no idea of how to ring the bell. Was there even a bell in the boat? Before she could confirm whether there was or not, the gangplank access opened and Juleka's mother welcomed her onboard.
"Hi there! You must be Marinette. Welcome aboard!" She yelled excitedly. "I'm Anarka Couffaine, Juleka's mother, but you can call me Captain"
"O-okay?" Marinette nodded, a little taken aback. "Hello Captain, it's nice to meet you."
"Now get in, I'll call Juleka to take you to her room." Anarka guided Marinette inside and a moment later Juleka stepped out of her room to meet Marinette with a mumble she guessed that meant something like "hello," or "welcome," and "follow me."
Juleka's room was small, very purple and gothic styled. Marinette noticed there was another room with a partition, now opened, with a completely different decorative style. A Jagged Stone poster grabbed her attention. Anarka cured that curiosity of hers before she dared to ask.
"That's Luka's room. Juleka's brother"
"You have a brother?!" Marinette asked Juleka, who shyly nodded. "I had no idea!"
"The partition can be closed whenever you want. You don't have to worry, he's not going to disturb you," Anarka pointed out.
'There will probably be nothing to disturb anyway, if Jukeka doesn't speak a word to meā€¦' Marinette thought.
"Get Marinette's bed ready and we're eating in a moment, okay?" Anarka said, leaving the room after seeing both girls nod.
They prepared a supplementary bed for Marinette next to Juleka's, and she put her bag in one corner of the room. Next, at dinner time, Marinette was surprised there were only three plates on the table.
"Luka is not eating with us tonight or tomorrow night," Anarka explained, filling a bowl of mysterious looking soup for her. Was it edibleā€¦? 'No wonder Juleka is so skinny!' she thought. But thankfullyā€¦
"I brought bread from my bakery, and some macarons to thank you for having me," Marinette offered.
"Thank you," Anarka said, placing a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder, who was panicking and feeling ashamed she didn't bring anything when she visited Marinette's home. Neither Marinette nor her parents had minded it.
Dinner was lively with Anarka's stories, but Marinette had the impression Juleka was dying of secondhand embarrassment. She found it fun, though. Because they were made up stories, rightā€¦? No way she could make cars flip because of a loud sound wave coming from big speakersā€¦
ā€¦Yeah. It had to be very creative stories...
After washing the dishes with Juleka, Marinette found herself looking around the boat. She couldn't deny she was curious about the lack of family photos, noticing only one which didn't include Juleka's father and she was a bit blurry in it. She supposed it was best not to ask.
And thingsā€¦ didn't go much better than they went at the bakery. At least not at first.
Sure, living on a boat was something else. Marinette asked about everything she could think of, got a bit dizzy with the water swaying when other boats moved close by, and wondered how many tennis table balls may have fallen to the Seine from the back upper part of the ship. Juleka mumbled some answers, but shrugged most of the time instead.
Communication didn't work out. And the baker's girl didn't know what to do anymore.
It was that night, before going to sleep, when she finally exploded.
"If you don't want to talk to me just tell me! I'm trying to be friendly, Juleka, but I can't understand anything you say! We're supposed to work together for this project!"
And she did itā€¦ Juleka ran away, crying. And she stood there, like a fool, not knowing what to do.
They went to bed without exchanging a word, Jukeka curled with her back towards Marinette.
Why did she have to be paired with Juleka? This was a total disasterā€¦
_____________
Late at night, unable to sleep, Marinette went outside and climbed to the highest part of the ship to look at the Paris Skyline from over the river. The lights glowing bright during the late night, the moon reflecting on the water and the Notre Dame in sight from a different angle than she was used toā€¦ she found herself tearing up.
Suddenly, soft music met her ears. An acoustic guitar, she recognized the sound. She looked downstairs, below her, and she could see a silhouette. A street light illuminated the person and she sawā€¦ blue?
The blue hair she had seen in Juleka's family photosā€¦ Juleka's brother.
She let herself get lost in the melody. Surprisingly, it seemed like it had healing powers.
"You must be Juleka's project partner, right?" he finally asked, not stopping playing.
Even his voice was calming. "Yes, I'm Marinette."
"I'm Luka, Juleka's brother. Everything okay with Jules?" he asked, as if he could see through her. She shook her head.
"Iā€¦ I think she hates meā€¦"
"Why do you think so?" He paused his playing.
"Iā€¦ I yelled at herā€¦" She shrugged. "I've been trying to talk to her, spend time and do activities together, become friendsā€¦ but she won't speak to me. She mumbles something I can't even understand and stays quiet, distracted, or glued to her phoneā€¦ I don't know what to do anymoreā€¦ I didn't want things to be like thisā€¦" she confessed. "Ahā€”sorry! She's your sister andā€”"
"I know Juleka is not easy, especially with people she doesn't know well. But you know? She was very excited when she told us about this school project. She was looking forward to getting to know you more. But she's very shy and gets easily overwhelmed. I'm sure she didn't mean to make you feel bad."
"Reallyā€¦?"
He assented. "She said she had fun at your house"
"S-she didā€¦? Butā€”but she didn't talk to me or tell me what she wanted to do! She always had that serious expression on her face, as if she was bored!"
"She told me she felt the warmth of your family. That she felt at home. She isn't a greedy girl. Seeing other people have fun around her brings her joy, even if she's not good at showing it."
"Butā€¦"
"She said she was very happy you liked her pajamas. And she really liked how you braided her hair," he assured. "She was very nervous because our house isn't like yours. She was worried you might dislike how humble we are, or mom making you uncomfortable."
"I would never! Your mom is funny and I find it fascinating how you live in a boat! I think it's very cool!"
"Is it?"
"Absolutely!" she exclaimed. "And the viewā€¦ the view is breathtaking. I really like it. I justā€¦ I wish I could be having fun with Juleka instead of having a fightā€¦" she lamented.
"This can be easily fixed, you know?" Luka strummed his guitar once again. "You two want the same thing. If you regret what you said, you just have to apologize and tell her how you feel. I'm certain Jules feels the same way, but she's both shy and stubborn, so it will be hard for her to take the first step. If you apologize first, she'll open up immediately, you'll see."
"Iā€¦ I think I'll give it a try." Marinette nodded. "But she's asleep by now. It's lateā€¦"
"Then you can tell her tomorrow."
Marinette nodded again, letting her mind wander in Luka's music. "Thank you, Luka."
"You're welcome," he hummed, slowly strumming the strings of his guitar.
"Can I come and listen to your guitar a bit longer?"
"Of course."
She descended the stairs as she smiled. Was this what it was like to have a big brother? He seemed very caring and supportive. Juleka was very lucky. She sat down next to him and listened to his music.
"I like this melody. What song is it?" Marinette asked.
"This is how your heart song sounds to me," he said, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Do I really sound like this?" She blushed when he assented. The song was beautiful; it warmed her heart. "It's beautifulā€¦"
He hummed again in agreement, and she couldn't help it but blush more and feel a swarm of butterflies in her stomach as she stared at his handsome profile. Only when her heartbeat got louder than his guitar, she stood up in realization.
"I-I should go to sleep. J-julekaā€”" she stuttered. He stared at her a little confused, but soon offered her Ā a soft smile that made her melt.
"You're right. Let's go to sleep." He nodded. "Good night, Marinette."
"G-good night, Luka."
She rushed inside, fast, keeping up with the rhythm of her heartbeat, and went directly to bed. That first encounter with Luka had beenā€¦ wow. Why was she so flustered? And the butterfliesā€¦ She couldn't be falling in love at first sight, could she?
Her feelings disagreed.
It was when she heard a sound of footsteps close by when she realized: Luka was sleeping next to her! Behind the partition!
She didn't feel like she was going to be able to sleep anymore.

Usually if it's a passion project it's dupe's... She does most of the writing. The project with Sven is mine. Catharsis also mostly written by me. It's really impossible to neatly partition who's totally responsible for what creatively. I'll pick at things hoping it entices her to come front and end up just Accidentally Working On It. She'll edit things late at night after I've mentally clocked out or prod with passive influence. I'll edit things when I'm drawing her script. there are some where the work between us was too equal to come down on one side. Not to mention what cocon can do to "who's doing what"... Even if it's clear who is drawing, it's usually a lot of rapidfire mental exchanges that disappear out of memory as quickly as they appeared, and credit for ideas is lost in the ether. The only story I REALLY am trying not to touch at all is the one with drake. Credit sometimes just goes to the one who was agreed upon to have "custody" of the story and get the final word on conflicts about it

Thought this article would be from Pinterest because it has a warm and cozy aesthetic, very much giving mood board vibes (I was ready to make a mood board yā€™all šŸ˜© šŸ’€) ! ?
INSTEAD:
It's an article published in 2018 about gentrification in Brooklyn for this one specific apartment complex that NYC creatives made their own.
"Unfortunately, for this group of long-standing tenants, 475 Kent was sold in 2017 for $56 million to investors Shlomo Meichor and Assi Arev of the Israel-based firm Gaia Investment Group. Currently, and despite the loft law, they managed to clear the building of half of its tenants last year."
Two of the tenants who resided there at the time of the publication, Hang Pham and Gregoire Abrial, showcased their lovely, handmade home:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the Gaia group suffers no consequences for displacing creatives like Pham and Abrial to make a profit.
What is the Gaia group anyway, and how could they be so heartless?
According to the National Real Estate Investor,
"A Firm Named Gaia...is an Israeli company owned by Raz Steinmetz."
Could it be that Raz is encouraging displacement in his real estate practices?!
While initially, I began to look more into Raz, I found much more lore on the Steinmetz fortune in general. For example, Raz's father Beny was convicted for corruption shortly after he became a billionaire. He became a billionaire like a true capitalist, by exploiting a vast iron-ore resource in Guinea, Africa.
Beny was already wealthy through diamond mining, and through his father, Rubin, a diamond cutter and Polish Zionist who settled in Palestine in 1936, after World War II and the Holocaust began.
More on Beny and some on Rubin here:
The New Yorker gives this little tidbit about Beny's life:
"'A family photograph from 1977 captures Beny as a young man, sitting at a cluttered table with his two older brothers and his father, who looks sternly at the camera while Beny inspects a precious stone."
That's what it looked like inside their home, but what did it look like outside?
According to Oxford University Press (and some real life accounts if you will seek them out), it wasnā€™t a pretty sight:
"'After the war, the majority of Jewish and Zionist activists supported the idea of partitioning Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. In May 1947, Britain announced that it was handing over the Palestine problem to a newly formed United Nations, and that it would unilaterally terminate the mandate over Palestine on May 15, 1948. In November 1947, the General Assembly voted on a partition plan and, with Soviet support, passed it. A civil war between the Palestinians and the Jews began immediately."
Academia calls it a civil war, and I'm sure Blood Diamond Beny would agree with that. However, if you would like a perspective that is not rooted in generations of imperialism, you can check out the movie Gaza Fights For Freedom for free on YouTube to see what the common folk think.
To me it looks like the Steinmetzs have turned displacement into a very lucrative family business - from Palestine to Guinea to Brooklyn - at the 99%'s expense.
This fight is our fight too as it always has been and always will be.
The late, great MLK Jr. once wrote,
"freedom is never given voluntarily by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed."
It's time to speak up.

What do we know about interior fit-out construction?
Tumblr media
Interior fit-out construction is a key ingredient in making the shell-and-core space habitable and aesthetically enjoyable. In addition to the detailed planning, skilled execution, and phenomenal attention-to-detail design and functionality, it is becoming a more significant factor for businesses and residents in Dubai as demand has increased tremendously for high-end interior fit-outs due to the property boom coupled with a luxury lifestyle.
This blog will take you through what interior fit-out construction is, its importance, and why opting for a qualified Interior fit-out company in Dubai like Sysmo Tech will help make that extra difference in getting the finishes exceptional.
Understanding Interior Fit-Out Construction
Interior fit-out is the process of taking an empty space and developing it into an area entirely operational, meeting particular functional as well as aesthetic needs. This ranges from basic design implementations to full construction work that consists of ceilings, part walls, floors, furniture, and cable systems. This refers to the most common occurrence in commercial spaces such as offices, retail outlets, and restaurants, as well as some openings in residential projects.
Major Parts of Interior Fit-Out Construction
Space Planning
Space planning is always a kick-start in any fit-out project. This involves the study done to analyze the area for its maximum utility while still keeping it functional and flowing with footsteps. This stage is needed for optimizing workspace layouts or enhancing residential comfort in general.
Design Development
A successful fit-out starts with a strong design concept. Architects and interior designers collaborate to bring creative ideas that correlate with the vision of the client while paying attention to practical elements, like light, ventilation, and structural integrity.
Structural Alterations
Some fit-out projects will call for alterations in the configuration of existing construction. Such modifications will include moving the walls, building partitions, or adjusting the infrastructure provisions for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Material Selection and Finishing
Selecting the ideal materials is important for the purpose of durability and aesthetics. The high-end finishes include floor treatments, wall treatments, and furniture in giving a unified very sophisticated look.
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Works
MEP works to guarantee that infrastructure is functional and conformed to code. Lighting, air conditioning, and plumbing systems wiring and piping would have to comply with the overall design.
Final Fit and Fixtures
Hanging of final installables, namely furniture, appliances, and dƩcor-stuff, to complete the transformation.
Reasons for Choosing an Interior Fitout Company in Dubai
Dubai is the place where opulence meets edifices into architectural marvels. Interior fit-outs tend to be very competitive and attention to detail. In this case, having a professional Fitout Company will ensure that your project is carried to international standards while following local regulations. Here is why you should hire a good company like Sysmo Tech:
Expertise in Local Standards

Small House Interiors Design Ideas for Your Compact Home
Tumblr media
In bustling cities like Pune and Mumbai, compact homes are a reality for many. However, living in a smaller space doesnā€™t mean compromising on style and functionality. With the right design ideas, even a compact home can feel spacious, inviting, and luxurious. At KreativEdge Interiors, we specialize in crafting beautiful and functional spaces tailored to your needs. Here are some expert tips and ideas to enhance your small house interiors:
1. Maximize Natural Light
Natural light can make any space feel larger and more open. Use sheer curtains or blinds that allow sunlight to stream in. For a simple interior design for small house, place mirrors strategically to reflect light and create an illusion of space. Our team at KreativEdge Interiors can help you design window treatments that balance privacy and light.
2. Opt for Multifunctional Furniture
Furniture that serves multiple purposes is a must for small house interiors. Consider sofa beds, extendable dining tables, or ottomans with storage. These pieces save space while ensuring functionality.
3. Choose a Light Color Palette
Lighter colors like whites, pastels, and soft greys can make a compact home feel airy and spacious. For a contemporary yet simple interior design for small house, pair neutral walls with colorful accents such as cushions, rugs, or artwork.
4. Create Vertical Storage
In small homes, every inch matters. Use vertical storage options like tall shelves, hanging racks, or wall-mounted cabinets to maximize space. Our designers at KreativEdge Interiors are experts at creating innovative storage solutions for small house interior design.
5. Use Sliding Doors
Sliding doors are a great alternative to traditional ones as they save space and give your home a modern touch. Glass sliding doors can also make the space feel more connected and open.
6. Incorporate Smart Lighting
Layered lighting can transform the ambiance of your home. Combine ceiling lights, wall sconces, and floor lamps to create depth and warmth in your small house interiors. Smart lighting solutions like dimmable LEDs can add versatility.
7. Define Spaces with Rugs and Partitions
Even in compact homes, itā€™s essential to create defined areas. Use rugs to demarcate spaces such as the living room, dining area, or bedroom. Lightweight partitions or open shelves can serve as subtle dividers without making the space feel cramped.
8. Focus on Sustainability
Eco-friendly materials and sustainable designs are not just trends but a way of life. At KreativEdge Interiors, we incorporate sustainable practices in our projects. From bamboo furniture to energy-efficient lighting, we ensure your home is both beautiful and kind to the environment.
9. Add Personal Touches
A home should reflect your personality. Decorate with family photos, artwork, or DIY decor items. Personal touches can make even the smallest house feel warm and inviting.
