13) What’s your favorite thing about the lgbt+ community? Sooo once again, this is for my particular community! Many of the queers I know are Jewish, and I love the way that their Jewish values overlap with their queerness. The care and thoughtfulness I mentioned when I answered this question before take on even more action with the principle of tikkun olam. The Jewish queers I know repair the world by building and expanding queer community. They do small and large acts for the community and actually focus on the people who are most vulnerable, and it’s really. really. awesome. 

20) Your Favorite lgbt+ movie or show?You know what? I love the movie In & Out. I LOVE IT. It’s cheesy and imperfect, but it has some of my favorite one liners (”he just came out! at his big church wedding! Martha Stewart is furious!”) and it’s a rom com and. I am bad at favorite things, but this is one I have rewatched again and again. 

21) Who are some of your favourite lgbt+ bloggers?UMMMM 90% of my f-list?? this is hard! @alienfuckeronmain for how hard she goes for thursday hersday among a lot of other reasons; @exigencelost, who I just started following but already LOVE???, @statementlou, a queer heroine if ever there was one; and ummmm i am truly at a loss bc i could keep going basically forever? 

23) Have you ever gone to a gay bar, or a drag show, how was it?I have, so much! In fact LEMME TELL Y’ALL A STORY!! I was in a drag troupe! From 2003-2008 I performed all over the US: in NYC, DC, Tennessee, SF, and Austin, TX. I had three main characters: Frat Man Dan, a 20-something dude who figured out his sexuality (very gay) while living the sweet fraternity life and who held a lot of conservative beliefs that were regularly being challenged and changed; his sister, Pretty Houghton-Tempton, a sparkly queen with candy apple red hair and glitter lips and a big brain; and Betty Pages (aunt to Dan and Pretty, who were twins btw), an incredibly pregnant southern Christian woman who loved performing with and for the gays because they were always so full of love. She was not at all homophobic, just had a real love for canon Jesus and any homosexual she ever met. 

My fave drag story: one time I was on stage as Betty and the bartender asked my then partner when I was due and if we had a name picked out for the baby. We are 99% sure she was serious.

9) 😡 book you expected more of 

I already answered this one, but I’ll do another one: God in Pink also really disappointed me because there was no point except suffering. There was no message, no silver lining, just... suffering. though I guess that was the message in and of itself, but it wasn’t for me, too traumatic, and not even well written at that.

17) 🌎 favourite fictional world 

oh, the entire Harry Potter universe, FOR SURE, no questions asked, and this surprises exactly no one.

31) 😻 character you hated but now love 

Draco! Malfoy! Draco Malfoy! Draco Malfoy. But I do acknowledge that this is because of fic, in the books he’s still a little arsehole, but because he didn’t get the chance to redeem himself either I forgive him and feel for him even when rereading. Pansy, however, I can stand in fics but I still HATE her in the books.

36) 🏹 favourite fantasy book

Can’t say Harry Potter again, can I. I never used to read much fantasy but my friend forced me into it jfkdss. Actually might be the Percy Jackson universe? And I also really liked the Eragon series because DRAGONS, as well as the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. These are all for a younger audience, I know, but who cares. Next on the list for me to read and hopefully add to this is either Good Omens (because if I enjoyed the show surely I’d enjoy the book) or The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss but i haven’t read it, yet

I loved 'be mine, little valentine'!! The whole charm of short fics, at least for me, is that they feel like they are cut out of a longer story, but we only get to see this small part. And you are great at making it feel like this. Thanks, it was first fic I read since about half a year ago and it felt so good to come back🙌

17) When did you discover 1D?OK, so I always really liked their music? I have been on the WMYB defense squad for years, and absolutely bopped to everything on the radio. But I didn’t really discover them until the end of last year, after @statementlou started looking into the band and sharing both their music and the wonders of fetus larry with me. It took one video for me to see that they loved each other, and for me to love them. I fell for the rest of the band a couple months later. And now here we are. 

18) What do you love about this fandom?The writer community here is so incredibly kind and supportive, and there are always new challenges (not just exchanges) to get involved with. I have met so many great folks just from commenting on fics and posts. Though I love the Sherlock fandom, I only started finding relationships like that at con/when I was meeting people in person. 

19) What do you hate about this fandom?I don’t get them, but the number of snarky and aggressive anons who go to popular blogs is a bummer. And watching friends (or just friendly bloggers i don’t personally chat with) trying to deal with them is difficult.

mango: when and why did you start your blog?

this used to be my personal blog and i started it because in 2010 i figured tumblr was the place to post my writing (LITTLE DID I KNOW). then i moved to another blog because i got into the big time rush fandom through a forum but they told me to go to tumblr, and i didn’t want to bother my writing followers with it, so i kept this blog around for non-BTR purposes but was more active on the other one for a couple of years (that’s the blog that hufflepunq is now jfdks) and then when BTR went on hiatus i came here and turned this blog with its dead followers into a 1D blog

until they went on hiatus too

i don’t want to talk about it

peach: how do you relax?

baths, cuddles with my cat, reading fic, watching gilmore girls, friends or grey’s anatomy, sometimes i do yoga when my body and mind really won’t unwind and it needs something extra, and dancing also helps

Positive thoughts: i love your writing 😻 let me add some details to make it sounds not-cliche: when i try to recall what i like the most i think its dialogues? The banter, the jokes, you write it so realistic and like sth that they actually would say... And its not easy. Its that part of writing when you can just create what comes to your mind, right? Not like idk descirbing space or feelings, when you write dialogues they have to actually be based on sth else than just your idea to soud legit?
