Arthur was born in Yorkshire, England and is a one hit wonder. In England, the song debuted Jul 68 and peaked at number one. It was also his only chart entry in England, although Arthur continues to record and has released 17 albums through 2022. His 1974 album Dance was released in the US on Motown.

Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come > The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Don't get me wrong, the Crazy World's debut album is great, but it feels like Arthur pushed the whole thing that much further. The first side of Galactic Zoo Dossier is just incredible. It kicks off like an audio version of a panic attack:

Then it doesn't let up for the whole side, it's just this anxiety-inducing nightmare, they even put in these glitches in some of the tracks or these smash-cut transitions between song fragments just to make it sound even worse, but then it ends with this absolute beauty:

It's specifically a concept album about keeping your shit together and finding your balance in the middle of horrible, turbulent, awful times, so it's super timely too.
