gave a presentation to a class of ninth and tenth graders on how to deal with their igcses :] nothing to note they were very silly and cute and i hope i was helpful
#crazy how the two year difference and my college student status earns me respect#tbf tbf the all black blazer and button down combo probably helped#aaahhh they seemed so little#totally butchered the first bit got way too nervous but went back and clarified later on#i think i did okay????#they asked loads of questions#the teachers said it helped them just as much#it might be because they lowkey have a soft spot for me since i was their top student last year#but they were writing notes almost the whole time#surely that means i was saying something worth listening to#BUT LIKE I THINK I DID GOOD??#gave them a bunch of cheat codes#emphasised the importance of past papers#told them how to approach studying post and pre syllabus completion#explained active vs passive recall#listed a whole slide of resources#taught them how to organise the sheer amount of files and documents they'll accumulate#i've been talking about wanting to impart my wisdom and experience since finishing the igcses myself#dfhdfhweofhf i hope it was helpful#i spent so much of tenth grade lowkey wishing someone would tell me about their experience and what they did#gave them my email and work number#surprisingly i actually hope they'll reach out if they ever need help#a few kids came to the office with follow up questions and one of them asked for clarification about emailing or calling me#so i guess it means a few of them are at least considering it?#ahhh i wish i didn't get all flustered for the first bit#but at least i repeated everything#if you're still reading this hi :]
