#crassus and xiao hua overlap in my mind as guys who have a weird gender and stacks of cash

its split a little more evenly than the HeiHua dynamic because Crassus and Pompey were both rich motherfuckers, albeit in slightly different ways! (also love love LOVE that intro scene for xiao hua, I will also be imagining this)

Crassus starts it off by covering the initial expenses for the whole party (because Pompey is reluctant to actually go, and Caesar's strapped for cash), but when the adventure gets started, it becomes a back and forth. Pompey keeps some monsters off Crassus' back while he tries to figure out the right solution to a puzzle, and after says they're both even. Crassus keeps Pompey from walking into a trap and says that Pompey owes him AGAIN. at one point, when there's a break in the Unrelenting Horrors, they sit down and to calculate the cost and expenses of everything and how much they owe each other, down to the last coin.

however. I am now thinking. about Crassus and Pompey having a scene like the one UN have after 🕶 gets bitten by a snake, and 🌺 is like, I'll buy you nice boots when we get back, only 🕶 says: actually I'd really like it if you just gave me money <3 (so that would be something like....Crassus would offer to buy Pompey....a new sword or whatever, and Pompey would ask for the money, and Crassus would go, okay :) and hand it over. Caesar would be watching it unfold like. you brought actual money??? to explore abandoned ruins?? ???)
