in the shortest summary possible: eden’s basically the in universe bindi irwin. tv personality from doing shows with her mom and step dad when she was really little, they’ve got some reality tv show about life at the zoo and she’s had a couple little mini series growing up. definitely no stranger to the camera, and you’ve probably vaguely heard of her. and if you haven’t heard of her you’ve at least hear of her parents.

she’s the baby of three, having two older brothers who also work at the zoo :)

BACKGROUND

Stella was born in Mexico City, the third and youngest child to upper middle class Mexican American parents Luis and Josefina Rios who had divorced when Stella was eight. After her parents’ divorce, Stella spent her time growing up in between Mexico City, where her father was, and Los Angeles, where her mother had moved. It didn’t matter too much to Stella that her parents fought a lot, it didn’t matter to her that they got divorced and each remarried and had new families, not when her parents spoiled her rotten and showered her with attention and love and gifts.

From a young age, Stella was insatiable and reveled in being the center of attention. She liked having her time full and busy with school activities. She was head cheerleader, and often participated in school plays, always aiming and landing the lead role. Acting came easy for her. She was also voted prom queen. She always wanted more, and wouldn’t settle for less. She wanted to drown in the feeling of being wanted, of being envied, of people being obsessed with her and wanting to be her.

born in new orleans, she only spent a few years of her childhood there before her parent’s marriage ended. it was a hell of a messy divorce which resulted in neither one of them wanting to take care of their only child. so they decided to dump the responsibility onto charlene’s maternal grandparents, margie and chester.

fortunately enough, the couple were more than happy to take the young girl to new york and under their care. formerly a music duo back in the fifties and sixties, it was only natural for them to bestow some of their talent unto their granddaughter.

chester was a creative spirit who saw beauty and found muse in even the simplest things. an artist in his own right and his medium was the acoustic piano. margie on the other hand? a woman of action. driven and intelligent, armed with a euphonic voice rich and decadent like figs and chocolate.

charlene became their prodigy of sorts, soaking their love of music like a sponge and developing a passion for all the skills they were able to teach her. 

her grandfather passed away a little after her high school graduation and  shortly after her grandmother decided to go to a nursing home. despite charlene’s protests margie was very adamant about not being put solely under her granddaughters care, claiming that it was time for her to venture out into the world.

still, charlene would do anything for her grandmother and so she takes it upon herself to pay a good chunk of money every month so that her grandmother can stay in one of the nicest nursing homes new york has to offer.

prologue.

mother was an internationally popular supermodel and father was a fairly well-known television actor.

both were notoriously good-looking, though her mother more so esp due to her occupation and geographical range of fame.

relationship was highly publicized for a while until the start of their marriage when they put an iron-clad lock on their family’s privacy.

CHAPTER I.

eyes were on the family again when leo entered the picture, particularly when he didn’t shy away from social media when he went off to secondary school.

intelligent, high-achieving, boisterous, socially accommodating, good-looking, well-off, athletic, able to thrive off of inherited fame, and willing to feed curious viewers glimpses into his seemingly perfect life... he was a shoe-in for being a quasi-influencer.

he also had a habit of ghosting social media before making sudden comebacks, though this display of untouchability seemed to fuel people’s curiosity.

these challenges included the expected bigotry in academia, sussing out those who wanted to help because they believed in him vs. those who wanted to ride his coattails, and finally producing work only because he was dedicated to his work and not because of any sullying motivation to “prove” anything, whether that’s to anyone else or himself. even privatized his social media and paid little thought to it while he focused on his studies.

however, his goals thwarted his parents’ expectations and hopes, which mainly included law school. by pursuing corporate law, he’d have a guaranteed path towards wealth so that he could continue living the life he’s used to.

he refused to give up his path towards a doctorate, leading to them cut off funding for his education.

though he does have grant-winning prowess, he unfortunately feels uneasy about adapting to a non-cushy life while embarking on an incredibly challenge that’ll take him nearly a decade to complete.

In middle school, she fell in love with acting. It was something fun that turned into a passion. She was already dead set on making it a career. Getting the lead parts in her school’s productions, helping out the underclassmen, being that person everyone went to: Nana was the school’s Drama Queen ( and not in the sense where she caused problems ). She was a dreamer, her own number one fan, she believed that she was the best. So she applied for top acting colleges and--

She didn’t get in. Not good enough, she was told. Grades weren’t good enough to get into the actual college or she wasn’t a good fit for the theatre department. She felt sick, what was this shit? She was the best, she was her town’s top actress and yet... the best didn’t want her. 

She was able to get into ASU’s theatre program and it was okay. Not what she wanted but it was still a theatre department. Here, things were real and serious. Unlike middle and high school where she was the best, she was met with others who were better. Even if she were to get into shows, it still hit her pretty hard seeing that she was never given the chance to be the star. 

Even after graduating, nothing really changed. She was able to move to New York with some of her college friends and get an apartment together. Her friends were able to get proper theatre jobs, while Nana... worked at McDonalds. She would audition for stuff, wouldn’t get anything or sometimes she would get into a show, but it was a minor role. 

She was happy for those minor roles but it really hurt to see others from her cohort making it big by playing the lead or stage managing a big production. Nana, once again, felt inadequate and a total failure. Nana was tired of playing the little guy, she wanted that big break, she wanted to be a star and immediately. But with rejection after rejection, she almost gave up on her dream.

But it was her younger sister who suggested an idea to her: join love island. “Be like Addison Rae,” she said. “She started off as an influencer on TikTok and suddenly became an actress with her own leading role movie! How did she get that? Because she has a fanbase before she started acting. And that’s what you need. A fanbase and something that will prove to people that you can bring in a lot of money for them.” 

It was stupid, really. But... it wasn’t a bad idea. Next thing she knew, she was arriving to some island filled with strangers who were already extremely close to each other. She doesn’t care too much about the others, she only cared about one thing: the fame that she’ll get from taking part in this damn reality show. 

Nana does NOT care nor does she want love! She wants a loyal fanbase to help her with getting roles on Broadway or to be on TV and movies. Which means she’s going to do ANYTHING in order to get what she wants. Even if that means breaking up couples and getting all eyes on her.

hi everyone! this is bash and i’m so excited to be playing him :) a little tldr about him...

he’s originally from san diego but now lives in los angeles after he was scouted to be an actor in a community theater production. 

he grew up taking care of the rest of his siblings, as he was the oldest of six. although some might disagree with what he was doing, he never minded since he was always a family oriented person and this is where his nurturing nature was honed. 

he’s the kind of guy to give you the shirt off his back with no questions asked, always willing to give a helping hand. 

before he got into acting, he thought he might want to become a doctor or nurse because he always loved healing people. 

TW FOR SUICIDE / DEATH -- one of his brothers, sammy, ended up taking his own life while bash was in los angeles pursuing his acting career. this made bash feel like it was his fault for leaving his family when his little brother clearly needed him. even though people -- his therapist, his family, his friends -- have told him that there was nothing he could do, he never really believed that. he wanted to stay in san diego after the death, but his parents once again convinced him to go and continue his dream. after sammy’s death, bash was a shell of his former self for a little while which led to him being cast in broodier indie roles, but in reality, he wasn’t broody and the tragedy didn’t harden him, it made him softer. bash is always the kind of person to ask if you need anything from him at all. because of what happened, he’s always trying to save everyone which has led to him to have somewhat of a savior complex
