Honestly that whole episode makes me ill (in a good way) cause like, all the little things where Uzi keeps herself really close to N, wants to hold his hand but hesitates, the reaching for him, then concern she has for him.. leading to like how scared and desperate she was to save him when she saw the sentinel attacking him on the monitor, throwing herself into him to hug him the second she saw he was safe, trying to comfort him with her little screen messages when they had to be quiet.. 🥺 it was like the tipping point of uzi falling for him in that she knew how she felt confidently enough she wanted to tell him, but didn't know how or when.. but at the same time, she was scared, and just like.. wanted /him/ so much, because being with him made everything feel less scary. Which is the same way N felt about her since they met. It's so cute I die

I think Uzi first started to really fall for him in episode 4, but since episode 5 was set up the way it was, we didn't truly start seeing Uzi more obviously crushing on him till this one. Yes, the way she wanted to reach for his hand, the way she would blush when he'd address her directly in his usual casual and cheery way. I intend to gif and post MANY of these little moments. 🥹

The second half was SO angsty. Between her panicking over seeing him get attacked over the monitors— to the point the Absolute Solver was able to take her over for a moment— and then her sprinting to hug him like he was her lifeline the second she saw him again, checking to see if he was okay when she noticed he seemed stressed and upset, the handholding in the hallway (🤭😏), etc.

Meanwhile, the whole second half of the episode he was just distraught over the thought of possibly losing her. That scared him to death. 🥺

Besides the many, many moments of them in the whole show (and of course them becoming OFFICIAL in episode 8 😍💜💛), I could possibly say episode 6 was my favorite in terms of quiet, almost unspoken Nuzi moments. 🥹🥰💜💛

wriothesley has piqued my interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the underwater prison in particular adds so many unique possibilities to him as a yandere. one of my absolute favorite horror experiences is the game soma, with its decrepit submarines and the intense claustrophobia from being stuck underwater... i find the ocean terrifying. like wtf is going on down there. what is a leviathan. why are giant sea beasts mentioned consistently throughout so many ancient cultures. Why are there noises picked up in the ocean that cannot be sourced. why are anglerfish. why why why.

as it relates to yan wriothesley — the fortress of meropide would have a subjugating presence that rivals his. creaking metal vents, dripping pipes, the all-consuming scent of saltwater and rust; running back to his arms would be a temptation. it'd play an integral role to ensuring your cooperation. wriothesley doesn't demand complete submission. he knows human nature, the tenacity sentience imbues, for better or for worse. he doesn't see the appeal in dampening the flames that burn within you. he'd rather build a perimeter around it that'll keep the fire from spreading and burning too hot.

total transparency isn't how he operates, though. he'll clue you in, build the maze you're to navigate, but won't hand over the blueprints. you're free to traverse the fortress as you please. you can talk to whoever you want, say whatever you want, such is your prerogative. at first, you can't help but find him naively arrogant. he might be "the duke," but even he must have limitations.
