CSL Behring evaluates monoclonal antibody in Covid-19 patients
CSL Behring has begun enrolment in a Stage II clinical preliminary of CSL312 for the treatment of patients with serious respiratory misery brought about by Coronavirus related pneumonia.
Monoclonal Factor XIIa antagonist CSL312 (garadacimab) is being evaluated as a treatment option for conditions in which FXIIa inhibition may improve clinical outcomes.
About 124 adults with Covid-19 will be included in the multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II trial to determine the drug candidate's safety and effectiveness.
Members will be regulated with CSL312 or fake treatment, alongside standard of care. The essential endpoint of the review is the frequency of tracheal intubation or demise.
Lars Groenke, CSL Behring's R&D Lead for the respiratory therapeutics area, stated: The best clinical test in treating patients with extreme Coronavirus and further developing results has been our capacity to deal with the serious respiratory entanglements related with the sickness.
"Our expectation with CSL312 is to have the option to forestall the movement of Coronavirus, work on quiet results, and furnish doctors with a successful device in the battle against this lethal infection."
A Covid-19 vaccine candidate was previously developed, manufactured, and distributed by the company in conjunction with CEPI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, and UQ.
Additionally, CSL Behring is a member of the CoVIg-19 Plasma Alliance, which is devoted to the production of unbranded anti-SARS-CoV-2 polyclonal hyperimmune immunoglobulin medication for individuals who suffer from serious Covid-19 complications.
Additionally, the business is developing a plasma product against Covid-19 for the Australian market to potentially treat patients with serious Covid-19 complications, particularly those who are moving toward ventilation.
In addition, it joined forces with SAB Biotherapeutics to develop and distribute a new immunotherapy that targets Covid-19. Clinical preliminaries of the medication are set to send off in North America before long.

Bismillah... RPM v2 2023 - Day 14 - 27 January From Baling, we took Route K157 to Kampung Nami, Kuala Nerang, Kedah. Undulating hills and bends welcomed us. It was the torturous 400m climb that exhausted us; which in return, were rewarded with good times rolling towards the end. Now we know why these areas are known as the Highlanders. The sceneries were MashaAllah awesome and the absolute beauty of the Titiwangsa Ranges of connected mountains. The distance covered was a mere 56km but enough to drain all our energy. Homestay are not easily accessible in Kg Nami; most has closed down during Covig-19; but we were so lucky that the Jungle Resorts is still in operation and managed to find rooms to stay. Anyway, we were prepared for wild camping beside Muda River. May Allah ease our affairs, Ameen. Allah is the Best of Planner!
“Melihat kondisi pasien dulu.

Disgruntlement, perhaps ANGER, doesn't even...
How many times have I come here to add my two cents worth, to say my piece...too numerous to count. I have waited much too long. How many times have I asked why Aj disappeared. How many times have I asked WTF is going on (and I do not curse). Bottom line some wanted Aj out of the way to promote without a hitch...these last few months...and when it comes down to it...Conspiracy Theory run a muck. Sorry to the friends on this blog I assured my silence too. It is time for levity. Obviously not just about CC. The pandemic Covig-19 is frying my very being. So why would this miarren scenerio take a turn? Because just like the disease epidemic we have an epidemic of irresponsibility that people are using to their advantage. In case you are wondering...yes, I am a health care worker...that will stay there! I dispise people's use of a very serious medical emergency to advance there own cause. Take note RR/M you have just crossed the line. Wake up and smell the roses... no... the DEATH toll as it rises...as you use it to advance your cause. One thing to say KARMA is a bitch!
A pandemic is a disease epidemic that has spread across a large region, land, ocean, population, for instance multiple continents, or worldwide. A widespread endemic disease with a stable number of infected people is not a pandemic. Further, flu pandemics generally exclude recurrences of seasonal flu.
Why do I care, why do I share. Because just as a new virus now exists, it was not pulled out of thin air. People caused it, perpetuated it and spread it. We are our own worst enemy. And until people recognize their ability to change this scenerio this will continue to spread, grow and infest. Am I talking about a virus or a fan situation? Both! These are both products of a situation built on peoples need to see things through rose colored glasses, or should I say pink sunnies.
What is the difference? Nothing! Except viruses(this time Covig-19) kills the body. Gender denial, loving who one loves, Me Too, denial kills the soul. The parallels are alarming!
I am not angery, I realize I am sad. Because it appears to me the world is in desperate need of some love. You can deny what is in front of your face, but you cannot in the the long run deny what your heart tells you. If you don't believe in the love of CrissColfer, how can you deny their friendship. Why is it denied time after time, year after year? Why is it not allowed. Why has D been tied in one way or another to most of his past acting encounters, from Starkid to Lea Michele to Ryan Murphy? Yet two people who were seen together for six years on TV, and made a difference in so many lives, are not seen together, talked about even hinted at as possibly still being friends has to be the epitome, the very essence of a lie! Lies are like a pandemic they hide and grow through direct contact and droplets that are spewed at times without even knowing. It is time to wake up and understand all life mirrors is life, not made up scenerios. Made up scenerios are cracks in the mirror that eventually create fissures, that eventually create an earthquake, that eventually creates a tsunami...a pandemic if you will. This is on us, Karma at its finest defining the lowest common denominator. No one and I mean no one is immune?
I am waiting for a bi-line, pun intended, but there is none. Because while I believe gay, it is not for me to say. And quite honestly I do not give a damn! What is important is everyone live their truth. In this time of what I hope is reflection, contemplation, meditation, consideration and deliberation we agonize, celebrate, ruminate on our success and losses and recognize we need to recognize the importance of the individual and not the collective few. Note love is not simple, it demands truth!
I am at a loss, quite frankly a first, at how to end this as we are not at an end in this pandemic. I realize the show in the media is to assure that M & D are a couple. I am concerned every time I see them! I don't care anymore about the retoric of PR, I want D safe! Stop the PR if he is expected out to sell the sham. I am sorry D if you are trying to reach the end, your life is not worth it. Venereal disease even HIV/aides has treatment now Covid-19 does not. Saying this is to help understand the lives lost in the HIV/aides debacle. Please do not be one of those lost in this debacle. With that said everyone please be safe! I have a choice, but not really, I must answer the call of my profession! Please do not make it harder for me. Do not make it my responsibility to tell your loved one of your passing. This is real! Do not fool yourself it will touch you. It will touch everyone of us. Please stay safe. Wash your hands, cover your cough, stay home, stay well. I do not have a choice, my choice was made long ago to take care of the sick, it is my oath! Please make that path/oath easier. If we do not choose to care for and love one another there will be a choice made for us, most probably not to your liking. We...you have choices make the responsible, right choice. Follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC, not a contract...only we can stop this from spreading, it is in our hands.

Been a long time since I’ve posted something, I don’t know what to say but I’m ok just going day to day for now. My mom passed away in January and she was lucky enough to get to heaven before the pandemic started. I miss her and yet I’m happy to know she’s not only out of pain but she escaped the madness of covig- 19!

Bismillah..... Used to own many bicycles... When I decided to buy a motorcycle in 2016, I only kept one. It was my trusted touring partner, the red stallion, a steel LKLM 318 series made in China. In 2020, during Covig-19, when crossing the borders were shut down, decided to get a folding bicycle... so the Pikes bike was acquired. At the same time, my son, Syaikhul bought a Rifle folding bike for his mother/my wife as a gift. Currently, 4 in the house and need to get things organize... No bicycles to be within the hall living hall areas. Alhamdulillah , I finally managed to place and keep all in one designated area in one of the bedrooms. Easy access, more upgrades and rides to come... InShaAllah. https://www.instagram.com/p/CK-nKuIhneYYKWeHZvDC7ZVN2nbb0xng3LNCN40/?igshid=19sm6yvqhqmqx

Tokyo: Japan’s Takeda Pharmaceutical Co said on Friday an alliance of drugmakers it spearheads has enrolled its first patient in a global clinical trial of a blood plasma treatment for COVID-19 after months of regulatory delays.

Takeda posts surprise profit a year after Shire mega-merger
Japan’s Takeda has posted a surprise profit after its $59 billion merger with Shire just over a year ago, as the company shakes off the huge debts it incurred to get the deal done.
Analysts had expected Takeda to turn a small loss after taking out huge bank loans worth around $32 billion to get the merger done in January 2019.
But Takeda has been busy selling off unwanted assets to cut its debts, such as over-the-counter businesses in Europe and the Middle East.
The company has also benefited from the revenues that have been generated from Shire’s portfolio of rare disease drugs.
Japan’s largest pharma said it expects to make around 355 billion yen ($3.3 billion) in operating profit for the year to March.
For the financial year that ended in March, Takeda’s profit was around 100 billion yen ($92 million).
Like many pharma companies Takeda has had to rapidly adapt to meet the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It has halted new drug trials and is now focusing on an investigational plasma-derived therapy for the disease codenamed TAK-888.
It is working with an alliance of 10 global plasma companies to develop the therapy, based on immune cells derived from the blood of recovered coronavirus patients.
Clinical trials for the new product, which is called CoVig-19, could begin in June.
But the work to reshape the company after the merger has only just begun – Takeda has pledged to sell off non-core assets worth $10 billion.
Last month it announced it would sell a portfolio of OTC and prescription products to Denmark’s Orifarm for about $670 million.
In total assets sold last year were worth around $7 billion, according to Reuters, citing data from Refinitiv.
Most of this came from selling the dry eye drug Xiidra to Novartis for $5.7 billion, a deal that made sense for both parties.
Xiidra was originally developed by Shire and fitted well with Novartis’ portfolio of ophthalmology products, while Takeda focuses on oncology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, rare diseases, and plasma-based therapies.
Shares in Takeda ticked up following the announcement, while the rest of the market slid.
President and CEO Christophe Weber said: “In line with our values, Takeda is taking a lead in meeting the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak. We initiated a global industry alliance, sharing our world-class plasma-derived Therapy R&D, plasma collection and manufacturing capabilities to work collaboratively with other global and regional plasma companies to accelerate development of CoVIg-19, a potential plasma-derived therapy for patients at risk from serious complications of COVID-19.
“Clinical trials are on track to begin in the summer and if successful, CoVIg-19 has the potential to be one of the earliest approved treatment options.”
