A couple of weekends ago we took advantage of the low traffic and took a day trip to Los Angeles. It only took 2 hours each way (compared to the usual 3) and in spite of the super bummer circumstances it was very pleasant driving down Sunset and seeing the sights on a beautiful Southern California day without getting stuck in any traffic. Once we hit the ocean, we headed back to San Diego and made it home well before dark. It’s been a really sad time and getting out the house and taking a nice little road trip was just what we needed. . . I hope everyone reading this is safe and healthy and okay. This situation has made me very sad, but we’re doing fine and we have all we need. I’m grateful for the people around me who care for me and my family, and have made sure to check on us and offer help. I love you guys and consider myself very fortunate. . . Whatever you’re doing (or not doing) to help yourself get through this extremely surreal and stressful time, I support you. Goals are nice, productivity is great, but sometimes just getting through the day is the best we can do.
