Hi there! Warm welcome to all the new family. Allow me to reintroduce myself and what I do here on this road in these social media streets. A series of posts. This is post #4. Respect is the bare minimum. I really love open dialogue. This means I cherish opinions that differ from my own because they help me get really clear about my own values and principles. There are no enemies here, only teachers and opportunities to learn. In many ways, this is the premise for my #CourageousWednesdays series. I encourage every member of this FaceBook family to bring their full selves here. This means that, in the interest of maintaining a safe but brave space for dialogue, I am more than happy to block anyone who ridicules, bullies or trolls another person on my page. Take that toxic belligerent social media energy somewhere else. This is not the place and I am definitely not the one. I block unapologetically. As an Afrofuturistic creative who came here to f@ck sh*t up as ... “a raindancer, even in the driest conditions, coz that’s my mission - telling stories that create nu/clear vision” (For Visionaries And Raindancers, Sista Zai, upcoming) I am more than happy to show you how to speak your truth (whether anyone likes it or not) with love and respect. Why? Two reasons: it’s time to honour the fact that not only is there another human being on the receiving end of your energy but the energy we put out comes right back to meet us, sometimes triple fold. It’s time to use words and language responsibly for the sake of our collective humanity. It’s time to relearn how to exist in community and to take actions that show how much we deeply cherish our online and offline communities. So, yes, I’m nice and kind but I also do no harm and take zero bullshit. As the person who holds this space for a tonne of folk, that is my responsibility; and I rise to it, courageously. Wanna learn how I practice courage? Here’s a beautiful course I’m taking right now, which is free but most importantly a powerful tool for learning how to co-exist harmoniously in diverse company without the love and light spiritual bypassing ... @jaiyajohn quotes give me life! . . It’s #CourageousWednesday and I’d love to talk about community ... what it actually takes to build, regenerate and maintain true community. It’s a real live question for me as I explore a new offer with my Patrons Of The Arts and supported by folx at @business.for.the.people. Here’s what I had to say this dawn on Facecrack: “What is “community”? This is a question that truly came into sharp focus with 2020. Since it’s #CourageousWednesday, let’s keep diving deeper with it ... We’ve had a wake up call: can we survive without community? If it helps to process ... dance it out while you think? Maybe check out the #CourageousWednesdays Mixtape here https://linktr.ee/sistazai or link in bio. I’m refreshing it later today and posting my deeper thoughts in Patreon for my Patrons Of The Arts. So, here’s a little insight into what my deeper thoughts are ... If ... no, I’ve seen this happen IRL (Zim boot camp) ... when this system crumbles and nothing is left and all we have is each other, what kind of community will allow us to thrive, not merely survive a drastic change to our economic system? Can our purely transactional relationships last - how well does anyone know the people who make the products and services they buy? What about neighbours? Why are we so disconnected? How can we take steps to heal this disconnect? Can we continue to just take without giving back? One widespread practice is how we have normalised extractive social media habits. What I mean is how often do we stop to deeply connect with, appreciate and support the people whose social media accounts we love and learn from? Do you thank them, pay them, share and credit their idea? Or do you steal a meme you like, or use the information without paying them then feel entitled to erase their name and put your logo and brand on it? Let’s be honest ... coloniser much? #realtalk What’s your definition of “community”, bearing in mind that we came here to thrive and not merely survive. TBH, I’m seriously not feeling some zombie apocalypse scenario ... my Afrofuturistic mind is set on Wakanda ... feel me? Okay, let’s make it happen. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKzQoHOjvsW/?igshid=r6qdl1sw29ly

Reclaim your power to heal, my loves. Create a beautiful day. Fresh #courageouswednesdays playlist up tomorrow. See link in bio and story for last week’s. . . . #Repost @browngirlswhobruja ・・・ For most of my life, I felt separated. This sense of separation was from my culture, my DNA and my history. I learned very early, being a black woman in the world was full of contradictions. It took years for me to develop even the courage to heal this foreign part of myself. In going deep, I found more than myself, but my Soul. Allowing myself the space to sort, process and heal past the stories that I thought defined me. Giving voice to what was submerged, freed me. Writing through the wounds, healed me. Remembering our ancestors are ALWAYS with us and that it is us who forget is what I learned from listening. What parts of you are ready to emerge Beloveds? What parts need to be buried? Tune in. Turn on. 📸 vía @james_weeks_kings_river #yemaya #ancestors #naturalwoman #healerwoman #spiritualwellness #orishas #healinglifestyle #spirituallawsofmaat #africanhistory #spiritualtools #tonyargonzalez #yogainstructor #divinefeminine #afrolatinabruja #brujeria #vibehigh #spiritualentreprenuership #afrolatina #browngirlswhobruja https://www.instagram.com/p/B35Q0_WAnts/?igshid=gwwbjm4hr369

Rise and shine, my Loves 🖤 Happy #selfcareSunday. I’m meditating on that muditā - the anti-thesis of ‘hater’. Social media can cause us to fall into a slump of death by comparison. It’s a bit like that ... make sure to take breaks and count your blessings. Recognise the real: most everyone on here is posting show highlights - check in on each other IRL. Celebrate the joy and success of one another - this practice floods your own biological system with feelings of joy and prosperity, which magnetise your energy to attract goodness and abundance. Try it out. Good vibes are contagious. It works. 🖤 Catch you midweek for #courageousWednesdays or sooner on Patreon www.patreon.com/sistazai (link in bio). https://www.instagram.com/p/B1SDYaJgbmD/?igshid=x1f106kku4iw

#courageouswednesdays Instagram live later but first a PSA #Repost from @ancestral_voices ・・・ Our spiritual power has always been within our own DNA as we have the ability to tap into our ancestral memory and use this wisdom to assist us in our daily lives. - The greatest myth is convincing us that Africans were 'backwards' with this practice, whilst modern science teaches the same wisdom under the term 'epigenetics'. - Learn more: Ancestral Voices 2: Spirit is Eternal CLICKABLE LINK IN PROFILE BIO www.ancestralvoices.co.uk/av2 #ancestors #epigenetics #wisdom #genetics #geneticmemory #pray #praying #prayer #african #primative #backwards #science #modernscience #myth #ancestralmemory #chromosome #lineage #ancestry #spiritualpower #spirit #spiritual #dna #memory #mindbodyspirit https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Gzcv8A7HN/?igshid=bmsr35thog4v

Dear Africans, Why so fearful of our own Ancestors and spiritual traditions/science/philosophy? Easy: I’m not saying leave the Church - do you and respect me as I do me. I’m just asking if adults should base major life decisions on the basis of an uninterrogated fear. Also, I refuse to accept the unquestioned assumption that we are the embodiment of the Devil and Darkness: we’re too awesome for that - seriously. Don’t @me. Catch you on Wednesday for #courageousWednesdays ♥️. Love, Me https://www.instagram.com/p/B1ENtLig492/?igshid=185oh5ip1y0sr
