New fic idea:

AU. After a particularly harsh fight with his half-brother, Fëanor decides he's had enough. He travels back in time to try and prevent his father and Indis getting together.

Unfortunately, these two would make a very good couple, he can kind of see them together, maybe he will not get in between them actually - and then he accidentally prevents his own birth

I call it the 'time-travel ruin-it'

Featuring not okay Míriel, intelligent but not emotionally intelligent Fëanor, and a young-adult modern version of that first generation of elves :))

Possible follow-up ideas (because I can't have bad endings, actually 😔): there were actually three time-travel devices, some of his half-siblings (my heart says Fingolfin and Írimë) try to bring him back, the third device might end up with someone's future spouse,

and of course, the fic goal is Míriel/Finwë/Indis :)
