August 3, 1973 - Todd Rungren, Bebe Buell, Jayne County and Iggy Pop at the Felt Forum (the smaller theater inside of Madison Square Garden, now called The Theater at MSG) where the New York Dolls, who Todd had just produced, were opening for Mott the Hoople.

Manager of the house came in today. He was shouting out what my weight and BMI were so everyone in the house could hear. I asked him not to do that and he said he was sorry and he didn’t realise it would make me uncomfortable.
Afterwards he was in the dining room when me and other residents were on the sofa at the other end of the room. He loudly complained about me being upset by him shouting out about my weight and then continued to shout out my weight and BMI was and also made a lot of really squirm-inducing remarks about my prescribed meal plan in front of everyone.
The staff here had a training session about how to approach eating disorders two weeks after I moved in because when I moved in they literally knew nothing. I really don’t know what they got from it.

I took Blake up to Fairfax Pond-Rehe Wildlife Management Area tonight to scout fishing spots. While he counted bluegills, I was mesmerized by the memorably-dramatic, mid-summer sky, where the tattered remnants of the prior evening's storms stampeded across the horizon. Along the wetlands' edges, radiantly-beautiful swamp rose (Rosa palustris) spilled over into muddy pathways, keeping close company with Allegheny monkeyflower (Mimulus ringens) and blue vervain (Verbena hastata), also referred to as swamp verbena. In the oak-hickory woods farther back, the flowering spikes of downy rattlesnake plantain (Goodyera pubescens) poked up from the forest floor, and the dangling, bittersweet berries of deerberry (Vaccinium stamineum) were beginning to ripen. All reminding me how much I love summer's endless drama, occasional violence, and hurtling life force.

i wake up and first thing i think of is: during marias search esp in that first week or two, i wonder how many of the search parties were volunteers considering that civilians can help cover more ground etc rather than the travis or newt sheriffs ( esp since canonically in the remakes, travis countys dept is severely understaffed )
and i wonder, too, just how many of said volunteers were extended sawyers & hewitts ensuring all potential evidence or suspicions that could point to their family ( not just in marias case but all of them in general ) is covered / fucked with / etc.

I dont trust any of yall that say eat the rich anymore because half the time youre not even talking about the rich, youre talking about greg the accountant who owns a house and can maybe afford to take his family on one vacation every year or so. And sometimes youre not even talking about greg, youre talking about his daughter becky who still lives with him because she cant afford to move out. Im begging yall to learn the difference between "has disposable income" and "literally has so much wealth that its harmful"
"Rich" does not simply mean "has nicer things than you" and if that how you take it to mean then i dont know man, maybe you should get off your soapbox and go read a book or something
