Looking for a classic yet edgy Halloween costume? The prison inmate look is a timeless choice that offers endless possibilities for creativity. Whether you're aiming for a scary, funny, or sexy vibe, this costume can be adapted to suit your style.

The iconic black and white striped jumpsuit is the foundation of any prison inmate costume. However, don't be afraid to put your own spin on it. Consider adding accessories like a fake tattoo, a chain around your ankle, or a shaved head to enhance the look. For a more dramatic effect, you can apply fake blood or bruises.
If you want to add a touch of humor, consider carrying a prop like a fake newspaper with a headline about your "crime." Or, you could create a group costume with friends, dressing as prison guards or other inmates.
For women, the prison inmate costume can be sexified with a shorter jumpsuit or by adding fishnet tights. However, it's important to maintain a balance between sexy and scary to avoid crossing the line into offensive territory.
Remember, Halloween is a time for fun and creativity. So let your imagination run wild when creating your prison inmate costume. With a little effort, you can create a memorable and eye-catching look that will turn heads at any Halloween party.

Another TIM with a history of domestic violence is using the courts to to play victim
By Anna Slatz January 12, 2024
A trans-identified male is suing the City of New York after he was placed in a men’s detention center while awaiting transfer to another state on charges related to domestic violence. Ali Miles, formerly known as Dylan Miles, is demanding over $22,000,000 in compensation for discrimination on the basis of his gender identity.
Miles, who identifies as a Muslim woman, was incarcerated at the George R. Vierno Center on Rikers Island from June to July of 2022. His custody was a holding prior to his transfer to another state, as he had warrants for his arrest in the state of Arizona. He was then transferred to Yavapai County Jail where he was ultimately tried and found guilty of two counts of aggravated harassment per domestic violence, a Class 5 felony, for instances dated in November 2021 and February 2022.
He was also found guilty of disorderly conduct, harassment, threatening or intimidating, and false reporting to a law enforcement agency, which are all Class 1 misdemeanors.
In October of 2022, he was placed on supervised probation for a period of three years and sentenced to 312 days in jail, with credit added for the 132 days he had already been held there. Miles was also subject to a domestic violence assessment.
But Miles is now taking to the court to sue to the City of New York for detaining him with other males while he was awaiting transfer to Arizona. The suit argues that Miles faced discrimination, assault, and human rights violations after being placed with men.
Tumblr media
From the lawsuit filed by Miles on August 24, 2023.
While asserting that he “wears women’s clothing and in all appearance expresses as a person of the female gender,” the filing argues that Miles was housed in a male facility at Rikers despite allegedly having a court order directing his placement to the female unit.
The suit reveals that following his arrest, Miles informed a judge that he was transgender, and required special housing accommodations to which a judge reportedly agreed. The court file and orders were then marked to notify the prison and their Intake Personnel that Miles was to be housed in the female section of Rikers, but he was not.
“As Miles approached the inside of the building, Miles realized it was a male jail which caused shock, panic and fright to Miles,” the suit reads, referring to Miles using feminine pronouns. “Miles requested and pleaded … that as an LGBTQIA+ individual who was transgendered, she required and needed an accommodation, and that she should not be placed in a male population jail.”
Miles then alleges that a prison staff member said “we don’t do the trans thing here.” He was then strip-searched by a male guard he alleges told him that he had “nice tits” and “one hell of a pussy.” This is despite Miles not having had any known genital surgeries.
Tumblr media
Miles continues that he was routinely harassed, “misgendered” and subjected to humiliation during his detention at the George R. Vierno Center. In particular, Miles emphasizes his “sexual victimization” by multiple “African American male” inmates as a result of his placement in a male facility, one of which he alleges sodomized him using butter as lubricant.
Miles is seeking a minimum of $22,000,000 in compensation for the various mistreatments he claims, arguing that the prison’s “unlawful conduct was a direct result of Rikers’ pervasive practices, and customs of discrimination, deliberate indifference, against transgender people.”
Miles is a prolific litigant, and, as previously reported by Reduxx, has filed a number of suits alleging discrimination by various businesses.
In May of 2023, Miles filed a lawsuit against a New York yoga studio seeking compensation of $5,000,000 after employees reportedly asked him to use the men’s restroom instead of the women’s.
In the suit, Miles alleged that the personnel at Chelsea Yoga “deprived [him] of his civil rights because he is gay, undergoing a gender transition, and because Miles does not conform to … gender-based preferences, expectations, or stereotypes about how a man/woman should dress and conduct himself/herself.”
But shortly after that suit was launched, Reduxx learned that Miles had filed at least four other lawsuits, making similar claims of victimization in each.

In February of 2022, Miles filed a civil action for $75,000 in compensation against Sedona Soul Adventures, an Arizona-based business he had previously worked for. Miles alleged that the tourism company had wrongfully terminated his employment shortly after he was hired after subjecting him to “gender identity-based harassment and discrimination.” The suit was dismissed after an out-of-court agreement was reached.
One month later, Miles filed two separate civil actions — one against Planet Fitness and one against Bagel Point, both, again, on the basis of “gender identity-based harassment and discrimination.” In both, Miles represented himself, and failed to use consistent pronouns, often calling himself “Mr. Miles.”
In his poorly-written civil action, Miles alleged that staff at a Planet Fitness threatened to sound the “lunk alarm” on him for entering the women’s facilities, and used a slur when referring to him. The “lunk alarm” is a fixture seen at most Planet Fitness gyms intended to provide a humorous “warning” to those being too loud or obnoxious in the gym.
Miles demanded compensation of $10,000,000 from Planet Fitness, but the suit was ultimately dismissed after he failed to file the appropriate paperwork and pay $402 in filing fees as requested by the court.
In his action against Bagel Point, a cafe in Brooklyn, Miles sought $75,000 in damages alleging he had been wrongfully terminated and subjected to verbal abuse on the basis of his gender identity.
Miles had been an employee of Bagel Point for a short period of time, during which he claimed the owner, a Muslim woman, had referred to him using slurs and mocked his gender identity, as well as crafting “unsubstantiated” complaints about his performance. The action, which was poorly written and rife with spelling errors, was dismissed by the court once again after Miles failed to file the appropriate paperwork and pay $402 in filing fees.
In yet another suit, Miles sought compensation from New York Presbyterian Hospital, once again claiming to have faced discrimination on the basis of his gender identity. The suit was dismissed and an appeal was not filed.
Though it is unclear when Miles began to identify as a woman, he appears to have converted to Islam around the same time. On his social media pages, he has alluded to learning Arabic and following various Islamic teachings.
Tumblr media
While Miles’ past cases were quickly snuffed out of the court system, his most recent suit against the City of New York appears to be proceeding. Having previously represented himself unsuccessfully, Miles has retained an attorney for this suit who has requested the case be referred to the court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (ADR). The ADR is an alternative mediation-style arrangement targeted at speeding up settlement.
On January 10, the lawyers for the City of New York requested a time extension to review the details of the case, with the next hearing being set for February 22.

I really like when an inmate has to carry a bedroll to the cell. Your whole life packed in between a mattress. Is this a common part of the intake at FCJ?
Intake procedures and fine details like you describe are a very large part of the FCJ experience.
Because of the configuration of the jail, you do not carry your mattress. They are too thick and bulky. However, you do carry everything else to your cell.
Let me make it quite clear inmate that, after being thoroughly searched, showered and issued a uniform, you will carry everything permitted by the jail rules to your cell.

One of two men who carried out a Satanist-inspired “thrill kill” murder in San Jose was freed from prison and released back into Santa Clara County. Former inmate Jae Williams, 29, was granted early release on November 20, court records show.
Williams was a 15-year-old high school student when he and his 16-year-old friend, Randy Thompson, decided they wanted to kill someone. The boys befriended 15-year-old Michael Russell with the sole intention of murdering him in 2009.
The victim’s family’s attorney, Scotty J. Storey, told KRON4, “Jae and Randy set out with a goal of killing someone just to find out what it felt like. They cultivated a ‘friendship’ with Mikey, lulling him into a sense of security with them, to achieve their goal.”
When San Jose Police Department homicide detectives were investigating the teen’s grisly death, Williams told police that his religion, Satanism, gave him permission to kill.
The three boys went to Russell’s house on Nov. 10, 2009. When the trio was alone in the backyard, Williams and Thompson attacked the victim with a knife. They reportedly took turns stabbing the Santa Teresa High School student.
Storey said the terror Russell must have felt realizing his “friends” were going to kill him is unimaginable.
With Williams freed from prison, the victim’s surviving family members are also terrified, Storey said.
“They are very disappointed in the legislative system that created the statute, which lead his release. They are also terrified for themselves and for society. There is no indication that Jae Williams ever showed any contrition or remorse for taking Mikey’s life or the brutal way that he and Randy murdered him,” Storey told KRON4.
For their trials, Thompson and Williams were charged and convicted as adults, and sentenced to serve 26 years to life in prison. Senate Bill 1391, passed in 2018, prohibits anyone under the age of 16 from being charged as an adult. After California’s law passed, Williams’ case was transferred into juvenile court.
Thompson — who was just one year older than Williams at the time of the “Thrill Kill” — remains locked up in San Quentin State Prison, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesperson confirmed to KRON4. “He was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for first-degree murder. He is in CDCR custody,” the spokesperson wrote.
Thompson’s next parole hearing is scheduled for March of 2024. He will be eligible for parole in May of 2028, according to state inmate records.
Williams was set free hours after a discharge hearing was held in Santa Clara County juvenile court on November 20. His mother, Christina Trujillo, and defense attorney, Lewis Octavio Romero, appeared in the courtroom with him, court records state.
The court set the following probation conditions on the convicted murderer’s release:
Williams cannot change his place of residence without prior approval from his probation officer.
Williams is forbidden from associating with Thompson. He is also barred from having any “intentional contact” with the victim’s family members.
He must participate in re-entry services.
He may not leave his family’s home between 11 p.m.-6 a.m.
He must attend school, vocational training, or maintain full-time employment.
Williams may not use, possess, or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
He is subject to search and seizure at any time by law enforcement.
Williams is not allowed to own firearms until he turns 30 years old on June 8, 2024.
If Williams violates his probation conditions, he could be ordered back to jail for no longer than six months.

What are prison pen-pals? Prison pen-pals are inmates who exchange letters with non-incarcerated pen-pals. Inmates have been turning to our WriteAPrisoner.com program since its inception in 2000 to find mentors, legal aid, educational opportunities, employment upon release, counseling, housing options, and so much more. We post profiles, photos, and contact information of inmates. You, the viewer, can then select which prisoners you would like to correspond with, both men and women, after viewing personal (interests, goals, etc.) and public (crime, release date, etc.) information. Once you have selected a prison pen-pal to correspond with, you have the option of sending your first message free of charge. Contact with prison pen-pals is then maintained via postal mail or programs like CorrLinks and JPay. Inmates cannot access their WriteAPrisoner.com profiles online in any capacity. We are a pen-pal website only. Inmates pay for pen-pal profiles. That income is used for operating costs as well as our Scholarships, Welcome Home Kits, Reintegration Profiles, and other community programs targeted at reducing recidivism. Research shared on our Why WriteAPrisoner page and the Federal Bureau of Prisons shows that both male and female prison pen-pals who establish and maintain positive contacts outside of prison walls, pursue educational opportunities, and seek normalization through friendship, are less likely to re-offend. Inmates from county jails, state prisons, federal prisons, on death row, and in rehabilitation centers across the country have posted profiles. We also have prisoners listed from outside of the United States. You can conduct an inmate search of inmates not listed on our website by using our Inmate Locator. We also encourage you to visit our Prison Forum to engage with other members about related topics, such as what to expect when you meet an inmate, death row, correspondence, visitation, different departments of corrections, and more.

Michael S Swift, Illinois inmate Y52996, born 1991, incarceration intake in 2022 at age 30, scheduled for parole consideration 07/19/2095, with full release 07/19/2098
Murder, Solicitation to Murder
In July 2022, a Mokena, Illinois man accused of stabbing 21-year old Grace Taylor of Ottawa to death pleaded guilty. 30-year old Michael Swift was sentenced to 53-years in prison. LaSalle County State’s Attorney Todd Martin says Swift confessed to Ottawa Detective Sgt. Kyle Booras that he killed Taylor out of jealousy or anger. He says Swift entered Taylor’s south side Ottawa apartment through an unlocked door and stabbed her in her bedroom with a knife he owned. The knife was later found in a trash can at the apartment. Swift apologized to the family of Taylor who were in the courtroom before he was sentenced.
Martin also says a family member called 911 after Swift confessed that he killed Taylor to them. During a search of Swift’s apartment a box that held the knife that he used was found as well as Taylor’s bloody socks. Martin says he is very satisfied with the outcome because he was unsure if he would have gotten a better sentence if the case went to trial. Four other charges in the murder case were dropped.
In August 2022, Swift pleaded guilty to two counts of trying to hire a hit man to kill a LaSalle County Sheriff's Deputy and a LaSalle County judge.
As part of his plea, Swift was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He'll have to serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. His new 25 year sentence will be added to his existing 53 year sentence.
LaSalle County Deputy Ray Taylor was one of Swift's murder for hire victims and is the father of Grace Taylor. He says there is no "why" for what Swift did.
Deputy Ray Taylor and his wife Ann Taylor both gave victim impact statements in court just feet away from Swift and his public defender. Both said they had never heard of Swift before the murder of their daughter.
Kendall County Assistant State's Attorney Ryan Phelps says that while Swift was being held in the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville for the Ottawa murder case, he asked a fellow inmate about hiring someone to murder a judge and Deputy Taylor in September. The other inmate reported Swift to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office which began an investigation where an undercover officer posed as a hit man and spoke to Swift. Swift offered $15,000 to the fake hit man and wanted the murders to happen in the victim's homes.
Two additional murder-for-hire counts were dropped in the plea.

Crosby & Nash (with Young) - Winterland, San Francisco, California, March 26, 1972
So long to David Crosby, a guy who outlived his life many times, somehow making it to his 80s. A tricky character, often embodying the best and worst of rock stardom, boomerism, the 1960s mentality, etc. But hey, some amazing music, stretching from The Byrds to If I Could Only Remember My Name to his late-period solo work. I couldn't handle his Twitter persona, but oh well.
For a little rarity, here's Croz somewhere around the peak of his fame, playing a benefit for the San Francisco County Jail Inmates' Fund back in 1972. He's joined by his pals Graham Nash and Neil Young (the latter making one of his few '72 live appearances) for an occasionally shambolic acoustic set. You wouldn't call this the finest performance from C, N or Y but it's a good time nonetheless, with perhaps David's searching solo version of "Page 43" as the highlight. "Life is fine, even with the ups and downs," he sings. "And you should have a sip of it / Else you'll find it's passed you by. "

I heard prison has so much private investors to build more prisons even celebrities and corporations are getting in on the action so why not turn jail prison into a more revenue generating machine and a school house for societies so called rejects maybe Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls or Corcraft can invest in creating educational programs for students or even students that have been out of school and who wants to return to society a more reformed person who wants to help provide value to society and not be destructive in society this plan is even better for business because it creates job opportunities for teachers / instructors and teacher assistants principals and financial aid granting Pell grants and full financial aid the plans like all my plans is to help boost the economy by creating more businesses and putting more money in the consumers pocket and creating more job opportunities for those consumers it is reciprocal create jobs you create business .

Arrested Again part 39
(with apologies to cuffedstories deactivated 202211)
When I awoke the next morning the first thing I did was to check the power level on the tracker. As I expected it was fully charged. And they would now deal with me on a respectful level.
At 8:00 AM sharp I presented myself at Mitch’s office. It was a spartan affair, and reflected the penny pinching attitude of corrections funding. “Sit down Beck” he commanded. “While the incidents of the last few days were unfortunate, hopefully you've come to the realisation that any breach of your monitoring programme will be dealt with quickly and effectively. On your parole record the incident has been recorded as an equipment malfunction. I need you to sign this document acknowledging that to be the case”. He pushed the piece of paper across the desk. The document was headed “Waiver”, and essentially asked me to absolve the Department of Corrections from any liability for having given me faulty equipment. As it appeared to be totally in my favor, and was not putting any blame on me, I duly signed it.
“That’s all for today” Mitch said. “how about we meet here same time next week?” he  continued. “any questions?”
“None whatsoever” I replied.
After leaving his office I caught the bus to the county jail. When I arrived who should be on the front desk but Scott. He gave me a broad smile, then said “as an external visitor you will need to go through a security check”
“Does that involve a body frisk?” I asked, returning the smile.
“Sure does!” he replied. “Could you please spread your legs and put your arms out to the side, Sir”.
It seemed strange having Scott refer to me as “Sir”, after the many years he called me “inmate”.
Once I had done as he asked he ran his hands over my upper torso and arms, then started patting me up from the ankles. He finished with a not too subtle grabbing of my genitals. Given that the whole procedure was turning me on it was not surprising when he said “You sure you’re not bringing in a weapon Sir?”
“Very funny!” I replied.
“OK. I’ll take you to your class. Please check with me on your way out Sir. You’ll need a further security check”. The “Sir” bits, and his constant inuendo were unnerving me a bit.
Thankfully another CO stood guard for the class, so I could concentrate on my teaching. It was difficult adapting to being an external teacher teaching  inmates, when many of them had previously known me to be an inmate. They had to adapt to calling me “Mr Beck”, when previously just “Will” was the norm. Such was the nature of prison protocols.
At the end of the class I was taken back to the reception area, where Scott was still on duty. “Time for your security checkout Sir” he grinned. “Will you be requirIng a legal consultation?”
“I would prefer to play it safe” I answered. “Mitch is clearly watching my tracker like a hawk.  Until he loosens up a bit I don’t want to give him further excuses to slap me back into here”.
“OK. Just a frisk then” he said. This time he made a point of grabbing my genitals extra hard and giving them a shake. After he let go he whispered “let me know when you’ve got your own accommodation and I’ll come pay you a visit.....Sir”.
“Will do” I replied, giving him a knowing smile.
I walked a few blocks from the jail to catch a bus back to the transit accommodation. I decided to get off at a shopping centre a few streets past my accommodation so that I could talk to a letting agency about arranging permanent accommodation.
“You working?” asked the clerk when I entered.
“Yes” I replied.
“Where at?”
“I’m a teacher at the County Jail”.
“You a parolee?” she asked.
“Yep” I answered.
“You’ll need an extra month’s bond” she said.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because parole officers are notorious for doing searches and destroying the place” she replied.
“That’s hardly fair!” I protested.
“Parole Officers are exempt from liability for damage they do. Somebody has to pick up the tab. Parolees are the reason parole officers visit” she explained.” Take it or leave it”.
Was there no end to having to eat shit by virtue of being a convict?
“OK. So what have you got?” I asked.
“All I have is a ground floor apartment with one bedroom.$250 per week”.
I was in no mood to haggle further. I agreed to take it, as the three days I’d spent back in County were still deducted from the one week I had been given to find my own accommodation. After I paid her the bond money she gave me the keys to the apartment. It was three blocks away and I easily walked it.
The apartment was dark, musty and peeling paint was everywhere. Being on the ground floor it had a rear door leading out to a yard at the back. It was minimally furnished, and I would need to find a bed somewhere.  I realised I would need to inform Mitch, so I texted him the address of the apartment.
The phone rang straight away. “you there now?” Came Mitch’s voice through the phone.
“yes Sir” I replied
“Stay there until I get there!” he demanded.
Twenty minutes later Mitch appeared at the front door.
“Unlock your phone and give it to me” he demanded. I promptly did as he asked, as Mitch was not one to be argued with. He quickly browsed through the texts that I had sent and received. Luckily none of them we’re in any way controversial. He then navigated to the recent calls screen, pulled out his own phone, then photographed that screen. “I’ll be running a check on the calls that you’ve made and received. I hope for your sake that they are all in order” he said, handing me back the phone. He then quickly checked out the flat, snapping a few photos of it with his phone.
“This will do” he said. “just remember you oughta be here between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM every evening without fail. Any visitors you have are to be approved by me. Understood?”
This arsehole was really starting to piss me off. I didn’t recall my parole conditions requiring that I tell him who my visitors were, but again he was not someone to argue with.
“Yes Sir” I reluctantly replied.
It was still mid-afternoon, so once he had left I went down to the local supermarket to get some food for dinner. I located a pay phone in the supermarket. Obviously if I wanted to do anything without Mitch’s knowledge I could not use my own phone. I put a coin in the phone, and dialled.
“Hi Scott. Will here” I said. “I need you, real bad”. I then explained what my address was, and how my mobile could not be used.
I returned to my apartment with a bag of groceries. I waited, and waited, until around 8pm a Harley bike roared to a stop out the front. A classic Leatherman got off it, the chaps he was wearing accentuating a bulge in the jeans underneath. He knocked loudly on the front door. I opened it, and immediately recognised Scott’s facial features under the Muir cap, and behind the mirrored glasses. He entered, closed the door then ordered “Strip boi!”.
“Yessir!” I yelled, hurriedly denuding myself, wanting to please the leather god before me. Once complete he pulled out a pair of heavyweight Clejuso handcuffs, then quickly snapped them on my wrists behind my back.
“On your knees boi!” he  ordered. “Tonight you’re going have to  work super hard to earn your way out of those restraints!”

A man who served time for domestic violence wants to wedge himself into a community where the women would not want to be alone with him for religious reasons.
By Anna Slatz June 25, 2024
The City of New York has agreed to pay out a $350,000 settlement to a man who identifies as a Muslim woman for keeping him in the men’s section of Rikers Island while he was awaiting trial on domestic violence charges. Ali Miles, formerly known as Dylan Miles, had initially demanded over $22,000,000 in compensation.
As previously reported by Reduxx, Miles was incarcerated at the George R. Vierno Center on Rikers Island from June to July of 2022. He had been arrested on a warrant out of Arizona.
Following his brief detention on Rikers Island, he was transferred back to Arizona and placed in Yavapai County Jail. He was ultimately tried and found guilty of two counts of aggravated harassment per domestic violence, a Class 5 felony, for instances dated in November 2021 and February 2022.
He was also found guilty of disorderly conduct, harassment, threatening or intimidating, and false reporting to a law enforcement agency, which are all Class 1 misdemeanors.

Dylan Miles.
In October of 2022, he was placed on supervised probation for a period of three years and sentenced to 312 days in jail, with credit added for the 132 days he had already been held there. Miles was also subject to a domestic violence assessment.
But in August of 2023, Miles filed a lawsuit against the City of New York, seeking damages related to “gender identity discrimination” for having been detained in the men’s section of Rikers Island. The suit argued that Miles had informed the court that he was transgender and required special detention accommodations.
The judge had reportedly agreed, and orders were then marked to notify the prison and Intake Personnel that Miles was to be housed at the female-only Rose M. Singer facility on Riskers Island, but he was not.
Miles claimed that he suffered discrimination, including being subjected to “transphobic” remarks from prison staff, while incarcerated in the men’s facility. He also claimed to have been the victim of sexual assaults, in particular emphasizing his “sexual victimization” by multiple “African American male” inmates.
Miles alleged that a prison staff member said “we don’t do the trans thing here” after he demanded to be moved to the women’s section. He was then strip-searched by a male guard he alleged told him that he had “nice tits” and “one hell of a pussy.” This is despite Miles not having had any known genital surgeries.
While the City of New York rejected and refuted Miles’ claims, on June 21, they offered to settle the case for $350,000.
The settlement agreement stipulated that they were not admitting guilt in the situation, and that Miles would no longer be able to take legal action against them for this matter in the future.
Tumblr media
But shortly after that suit was launched, Reduxx learned that Miles had filed at least four other lawsuits, making similar claims of transphobic victimization in each.

The action, which was rife with spelling errors, was dismissed by the court once again after Miles failed to file the appropriate paperwork and pay $402 in filing fees.
In yet another suit, Miles sought compensation from New York Presbyterian Hospital, once again claiming to have faced discrimination on the basis of his gender identity. The suit was dismissed and an appeal was not filed.

SHERMAN, Texas - A Grayson County man who was accused of sexually abusing a child nearly two decades ago is finally behind bars in North Texas.
The Grayson County District Attorney’s Office said 49-year-old Anthony Rae was arrested in Val Alstyne on multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child back in 2003.
But after posting bond in 2004, Rae disappeared. He never showed up for his trial.
He was gone for nearly 20 years.
"I'm standing here with the U.S. marshals from the Eastern District of Texas and the Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security, there is no length we will not go to to make sure that people are returned to face justice if you commit an act of violence against a child in Grayson County," said Grayson County DA Brett Smith.
Investigators with the DA’s office renewed their search for him in 2018 using new technology. An international taskforce, including a Grayson County investigator, found him in Britain using the name Tony Campbell. He was arrested in Scotland in 2020, but fought extradition by claiming the Texas prison system is inhumane.
London lawyers argued conditions in the Texas prison system were dangerous to inmates and did not meet international human rights standards in the housing and care of prisoners.
"We fought over COVID, we fought over the size of jail cells in Texas, we fought over the temperature in the Texas prison system. Everything that they could fight to avoid extradition - for him to avoid coming back to face these charge they threw it at us," said Smith.
After three years of legal battles, Rae is now back in the United States and the Grayson County jail on Saturday.
The victim, who is now grown, was beside herself when she learned the man charged with violating her multiple times was actually back in jail in Grayson County.
"I have been in constant communication with her and probably the first thing she told me is she didn't think anyone remembered this case, and it brought tears to my eye," said Smith.
All appeals to British Supreme Court and the European Commission on Human Rights were denied.
"It's a testament to the investigators who started this," said Lester Hayes, the Special Agent In-Charge with Homeland Security Investigations. "It's been 20 years and a lot of people who've started this are now retired, or they've moved on, so their attention to detail is the proof that we can now bring this gentleman back, and now he has to face charges. We have the opportunity now to have closure."
The Grayson County District Attorney tells FOX 4 he wants to move to trial as quickly as possible.
While justice has been delayed, Smith said Rae's return to Texas means it will not be denied.

Jacosb Ficher, Michigan inmate 611204, born 1991, incarceration intake January 2020 at age 28, sentenced to life
Homicide
In January 2020, after a murder prosecutors described as "horrific, brutal and ghastly," a Lansing man was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Jacob Ficher left 24 ax wounds in the head, face and neck of the husband of the woman he was having an affair with after he ambushed him in the couple's home February 4, 2019 more than a dozen of which would have been fatal almost immediately, Medical Examiner Patrick Hansma said.
Ammar Al-Yasari’s sister, Zahrah Al-Yasari, asked Ficher one question during his sentencing hearing Wednesday: "Why?"
Because Ficher was convicted of first-degree murder, Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Joyce Draganchuk sentenced him to mandatory life in prison without parole.
She had no choice in the term of Ficher's sentence, but Draganchuk said she did not feel limited.
She had the answer to the question Zhara asks herself each night: "Why?"
"Because a man with no conscience crossed paths with her brother," Draganchuk said. "This is an appropriate sentence for someone who would do this kind of violence to someone."
Ficher had been having an affair with Bdour Al-Yasari (Michigan inmate 709418) from the summer of 2018 to February, when Ammar was killed and both were jailed. They broke up briefly in November 2018 when Ficher found out Bdour was married.
Bdour also is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Ficher said he never planned to kill Ammar Al-Yasari. He testified during his jury trial in early November that he only wanted to scare the man.
Although the jury ultimately did not believe his story and convicted him, Ficher repeated it Wednesday. He did not express remorse for killing Ammar, Ingham County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nicole Matusko said.
Matusko called Ficher a "cold, callous coward."
Ficher maintained that Bdour Al-Yasari had been abused, that the two of them squirreled money away so she could get a divorce.
During a search of Ficher's apartment, detectives found packaging for an ax that matched Ammar's injuries, Ingham County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Bill Crino said during the trial. They also obtained surveillance footage of Ficher purchasing the ax at Kroger shortly before Ammar's death.
Along with the ax, he'd also bought a bottle of bleach at Kroger, Crino said, and did "everything he could possibly do" to destroy physical evidence at the Al-Yasari's home.
