A Meeting With The Russian Empire

A man sits in a lush chair, gazing out a window, wearing the garb of a nobleman and a crown perched on top of his head. There is nothing outside, but it casts light into the room. Reaching into his breast pocket, he pulls out a cigar, and lights it, taking a long drawl before turning to you.

"You know... I've recently discovered the internet... It's very fascinating... And all the news about my..."

He takes a moment if silence, before continuing, slight anger in his calm tone...

"Well, this internet thinks of them as my children... This 'Countryhumans' fandom as they call themselves. They draw me extremely well, I can't lie. But how they portray us Russians... By the Orthodox God himself... They think of us as a bunch of drunkards who they make do cartwheels and have unholy intercourse with other nations. Like... Me and that burgeoning German Empire. Seen a few of those. We were cousins! And... Well... we're both men! Sure, times have changed. But, back when I was alive... You'd probably be hanged for ever thinking I'd have homosexual relations with my cousin of all people, hahaha."

He takes another long drawl, and sighs, smoke pouring from his lips as he crosses his legs.

"And the vodka thing? Is it modern day Russia that has a drinking problem? Maybe. But it certainly wasn't me when I was alive, let me tell you. Wouldn't see me caught dead with it. I was more into French wine, really. Or Italian. Vodka... I'll be honest... Was for the peasants. I basically handed out the stuff for free to keep my populace tipsy. If your drunk, your really not in the mindset to be overthrowing the government. MY government. And when that rebellious damn communist killed me... He was going on about how that vodka was 'opressing the masses'... And then he basically does the same thing I was doing. But it wasn't the Czar's Vodka anymore, no it was the People's Vodka. He probably didn't actually touch the stuff as much as I didn't."

He stands up, and walks to the window, smoke trailing from the cigar, before slowly pacing around the room, heels clicking on the wood floor, moving his hands to convey emotion as he doesn't actually look at you.

"They all think the Soviet Union was so great... How? They lost Finland. Lost Poland. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. Those are my territories! Does he go try to get what's rightfully ours? No. No, instead, he picks a fight with the United States. Yes, the might of Russia, beaten to the point of falling apart, because some backwater New World colony that broke free from England put a rocket ship on the moon. 300 years of Romanov dominance, wasted. Russia is miniscule compared to me... But... BUT..."

He sits back down.

"It's not all bad. This Countryhumans thing... I think it's good. It's good at not telling everyone everything. Tell them that I lost a war to the Japanese right before the Great War? No, draw me getting in bed with the Prussians. Perhaps inform them that half of the reason the revolution started was because I was wasn't able to actually give my soldiers bullets and that I caused an event called Bloody Sunday? No... Illustrate me as a powerful figure... Holding a double-headed eagle, looking intimidating. Yes... Don't tell the masses of my mistakes..."

He chuckles a bit, snubbing the cigar out on the table.

"Well... I assume it wouldn't matter of they did. They might just give me jagged teeth and paint me with darker colors. Doesn't stop those who take a fancy to that... What was his name... Third Reich? Nazi...? Well, he certainly didn't seem like a real Reich... None of them did. That German Empire was close... If only it lasted longer then a few decades."

My interpretation of what the Russian Empire would act like... Hope it's somewhat good.

I drew the big family right there^^ I kinda messed up on some countries while outlining, but whatever X'(

I also roughly based their ages on what year they were discovered/founded, so don't yell at me if it's not what you usually see.
